The university is located on a confiscated property in Limbadi (VV) where it offers paths of ethical development, social entrepreneurship, resilience, legality and social inclusion of vulnerable categories and conducts scientific research on the criminal phenomenon in the EU. After the success of the Erasmus 2021-1-IT03-KA152-YOU- 000010746 project held in May 2022 in Limbadi entitled ""REACTIVATE"" which involved 39 participants from Holland, Romania, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Turkey strongly interested in the topic of eco-mafias and how they act in Europe and in the world, bringing harmful effects to the environment, our association, collecting the requests and needs of the participants, has decided to deal with a new issue, namely the pollution of the sea and oceans caused by mafia action. Indeed, according to Catherine De Bolle, effective director of Europol: ""Marine pollution is a serious threat, which endangers not only the environment but also our health and, in the long term, our economy"". marine pollution, Interpol, Europol and Frontex coordinated the ""30 days at sea"" operation. The interventions led to the identification of numerous crimes ranging from illegal.dumping to trafficking in waste and the investigation of thousands of suspects around the world. The numbers of the operation (Europol data) are chilling: 34 thousand inspections at sea and inland waterways, coastal areas, and ports; 1,600 marine pollution offenses detected in total; 500 illegal acts of pollution committed at sea, including oil discharges, illegal ship scrapping and sulfur emissions from ships; 1,000 pollution offenses in coastal areas and rivers, including illegal discharges of contaminants; 130 cases of waste trafficking through ports. The inspections uncovered typical forms of marine pollution crime. From ship discharges to the traffic of waste by sea. But the pandemic, including disposable items like masks and gloves and medical waste, has heightened criminal tendencies. Furthermore, thanks to local authorities, investigators discovered an important criminal network that dealt with plastic waste between Europe and Asia. But more importantly, they prevented thousands of tons of scrap from being illegally shipped across the planet. Where it is most likely contaminated thesoil and generates a significant amount of marine litter. Contaminated or mixed metal waste has been falsely declared as metal waste. Namibia, the Philippines, and Croatia also reported cases of illegal waste shipments from Europe.17 were the EU Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden to participate in the operation against the spill of marine litter at sea Pollutionoriginates mainly due to ship traffic, the washing of holds, the sulfur content in fuels used and spilled into the sea. But no less serious is the impact of land and river pollution on the marine environment. During the operation, the military noted the inadequacy of purification plants, the presence of illegal water discharges, and the abandonment of large quantities of improperly treated waste on the territory. All the elements have a decisive effect on the presence of plastics and microplastics in the sea. From the aforementioned data and from the comparisons with the participants in the project, the objective of this project was born, that is to make them more aware and sensitized on the problem since the reduction of waste and environmental impact does not only pass through advanced disposal models and results. eco-sustainable, but also in the contrast to the trafficking of criminal organizations to sensitization of political decision-makers on the problem. The project, therefore, wants on the one hand to sensitize young people and make them more aware of the problem, but on the other hand, it wants to offer narration of the people opportunities for reuse of assets confiscated from things through the knowledge of virtuous networks of entrepreneurs, associations present throughout Europe (such as Libera) and insight into EU policies implemented against the mafia phenomenon. In addition, young people will be offered the opportunity to create a marketing campaign to educate them for the purpose of waste collection on the beaches, through the creation of social profiles.<< Implementation >>Participants must be interested in the issues of sustainable development, eco-mafia, legality, entrepreneurship education, and climate change. This exchange focuses on the discussion on how much the mafias have a negative impact on European countries and how widespread a problem is and not just in Italian. In fact, one of the objectives is to remove the prejudices according to which the 'Ndrangheta is only a southern problem. The project also makes us reflect on how important activecitizenship, education for the legality, and responsibility for every young person can have a positive impact on society through initiatives for the re-use of confiscated assets and new business ideas. in fact, it will be the task of the San Benedetto association to convey that change is possible, but that there is a need for collaboration with the institutions. The groups of participants have formed thanks to the activities of the associations in their territories, and the balance between males and females will be guaranteed in order to avoid gender imbalances. Participants will be young people who have difficulties such as social, economic, cultural, or geographical differences as they come from rural areas. Young people will be selected from among 18-30-year-olds, while the group leader may be over 30 years old. 42 guys will be involved.<< Results >>The target groups and participants are able to: - improve knowledge of the eco-mafia problem; - improve knowledge on the problem of sustainable development and how this is connected with crime and its activities in all countries of the European Union; - improve knowledge and the 2030 agenda on sustainable development and understanding of the objectives proposed by the UN; - improve knowledge of business operation and entrepreneurship education; - improve the knowledgeof useful strategies and solutions against organized crime; - improve the knowledge of the decision-making processes of the European Union, the knowledge of the legislation and the operations of euro-just and Europol; - understand and encourage new friendships, reflect on possible solutions to problems; - develop transversal communication skills, digital skills, problem-solving skills, optimistic vision and resilience; - develop the ability to work in teams and entrepreneurs; - development of thecapacity for active citizenship; - develop a sense of activism; - understand and know knowledge to create a space for intercultural dialogue, diversity and cooperation between participants for future projects; - understand and know the knowledge of a series of tools and to stimulate ideas; - understand and know knowledgeon social inclusion, partnership and solidarity between participating young people and partner organizations; - understand and understand the activities on how to promote the involvement of young people in the Erasmus + projects and framework; Through this youth exchange, the participating organizations will exchange ideas, good practices and future ideas of projects or ways to learn about this topic, writing articles on their blogs, posting short videos from the project and how youngpeople have adopted an approach. more responsible; -improvement of soft skills and emotional intelligence. The expected impact is very important, since there is a mentality according to which the mafia phenomenon is a peculiarity only in Italy and especially in the South. In reality, as the data show, the problem extends to the whole of Europe and too often the states that do not know the phenomenon have inadequate laws to tackle the problem. Therefore, the involvement of local, regional and national political actors / decision makers is very important in order to involve the institutions and raise awareness of the problem. In fact, together with the matured network of partners over time, it is expected to raise awareness at all levels: regional, local and European. The videos and posts produced by young people will serve to raise awareness and promote the problem. Participants involved in the project will be torn in their countries with knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors towards the criminal phenomenon and will be able to share everything with their dear friends, colleagues, family and others. In this way the young people will spread through their personal experiences of the project and all the knowledge and skills gathered. They will also be able to encourage greater attention to the problem in their territories. Furthermore, at the end of the project, young people will be able to compose a political proposal that foresees the contrast of the phenomenon of eco-crime in order to have it analyzed by political decision-makers and to trigger a virtuous chain of proposals. Each partner in their country will help the groups of young people drafting the proposals, assisting them with the group leader. The cleaning of the beaches also wants to be an important signal to be shared with all of Europe, through social channels."

With large migratory flows and social influence (where new models are always being proposed), even small contexts are undergoing major social changes and old models often collide with new ones.The acronym ESTIA (project title) is inspired by the Greek divinity, symbol of dialogue and inclusion. The idea was born as part of the follow up of a previous initiative entitled ""1 Big Community"" carried out in October 2021 in Pietramelara (a small rural municipality located in the north of Caserta). During the comparisons between the various cultures involved, attention was paid to the issue of discrimination which is transversal in all contexts and societies.Another fundamental aspect is that we are so ""accustomed"" to certain patterns and ways of being that, unconsciously, we end up having closed attitudes or prejudices towards others. If on the one hand we want to support the young people of these areas, on the other (for the purpose of a radical change) it is advisable to start from the new generations to fight prejudices and see the peculiarities as an added value.We want to make young people aware of the various forms of discrimination, how this is expressed and the inconvenience it creates for the victim.It is necessary for the new generations to broaden their horizons and develop the tools necessary to be ambassadors of acceptance and peace in the contexts where they operate for the purpose of change.Communicating and working with peers from different cultures is a valid opportunity to question one's beliefs, broaden one's visions. Awareness of the increasingly multicultural reality (thanks to social networks and migratory phenomena) is an excellent tool for combating discrimination and promoting tolerance with the strengthening of integrated civil society.At the same time we want to offer young people, often subject to discrimination, useful tools to accept themselves as they are and not let themselves fall into oblivion of indifference.The project addresses some questions: where does discrimination come from? Are we born with the attitude not to accept the different or is it society that makes people intolerant?It is crucial to promote the values of equality and tolerance among young people from an early age, through formal and non-formal education. Non-formal education plays a key role in promoting the development of skills such as self-reflection, empathy and mutual respect (especially as these are not acquired through formal learning pathways) necessary for acceptance and contributing to an inclusive society.As part of the learning process, participants will be able to: Learn to communicate with others using non-violent communication (no hate speach); Exchange knowledge and good practices; Improve knowledge of other cultures, religions and countries (also through symbols and traditions); Promote youth intercultural dialogue (especially the ability to listen) and universally shared values; Increase solidarity and tolerance through intercultural dialogue; Overcoming stereotypes and intolerance.The initiative also aims to: increase dialogue on discrimination; increase the international network of young people and the cooperation between those who work in youth policies; Increase knowledge about Erasmus+ opportunities and other opportunities foreseen by the 2030 Agenda.<< Implementation >>The Youth Exchange “ESTIA” gathers 36 youngsters from the Italy, Jordan, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. The dates: 07.08.2023-14.08.2023 in Pietramelara, Italy.The activities are created by team leaders, after the meetings with their national team, and discussed with them about their expectations and willingness to do during the project. After finding out participants’ opinions, team leaders tailored the ideas and put them in the timetable.In all activities and sessions, non-formal learning methods will be used that include not only small group tasks but also individual and collective work.The main activity theater of the oppressed participants will organize at the college, which is the best way to express themselves to communicate with locals and also involve the locals.During the project participants will be involved in the workshops about diversity, different types of discrimination, cultural differences, breaking stereotypes, will learn more about Erasmus + possibilities and will promote on the local level. Participants in different activities will learn to recognize properly evaluate and solve various types of conflicts, based on discrimination will learn the basic possibilities and methods of coaching, in the activities, they will be introduced using different methods and techniques of non-formal education that they'll try on their own. The project activities will also improve their artistic skills, as well as practical skills. This will happen through working together and preparing the theater. It is also believed that the experience gathered by participants during the duration of the project will have an influence on their future activities and will motivate participants to implement them.Every day will be day reflection: the aim is to allow participants to make evaluations by analyzing each day, what they learned, discuss the link with 8 key competences, and speak about what they liked, and what they didn't.<< Results >>The participants will raise awareness of discrimination, break down stereotypes, enriching diversity. Participants will learn new non-formal methods, participate with young people from different backgrounds learn about good practices in combat discrimination.Also, they will be able to understand solidarity, democracy, tolerance and mutual understanding.After the project participants will have a positive impact on how to behave or work with people from different countries with different backgrounds.We believe that the impact on the locals will be: Promote active citizenship, be aware of the discrimination issues and assess their solving ways.Thanks to the project participants will gain new experience and they will share it in their dissemination task in their local community, they will have the possibility to organize events/ lead the session and send important messages for fighting discrimination.Skills and experience gained during this youth exchange will help the young participants to get motivated and take a part in similar projects under the Erasmus+ programme."

The participating youth workers, after acquiring these innovative skills, will be able to apply them, in their daily youth work, improving, significantly, the quality of their organizations. At the same time, they will boost their motivation, broaden their curriculum and subsequently, will achieve the upgrading of their entities, providing new strategic visions. Three participants from each participating entity will attend a training e-safety course Tools and games against cyber bullying and others , in the Czech Republic, during 10 days. It will be used a participation methodology, both for theoretical and practical sessions. Safe usage tools and skills will be provided to youth workers, together with other soft skills, like teamwork, alternative organizational and economic modalities and other instruments to boost their future projects’ quality. Participating in this training course will be essential for youth workers and project coordinators who want to widen their motivation in safe internet usage and methodologies for project design. Projects developed within the e-safety training framework are sustainable and applicable regarding all levels, such as preventive, social and environmental ones. Societies which benefit from them are left with a positive mark on their internal structure.<< Activities >>The main activity of this project is a training course for youth wokers and trainers, who want to know about risks of internet and implement it to their sensfull projects and actions. This topics are very interesting and we have experience that young people pay attention to our workshops and seminars, because the topics are what they live and often do not underestand what is actually happening to them or how to protect against bad things. This project addresses relevant and important needs of participating organizations as well as Erasmus+ programme objectives, specially expected for this Key Action, like promoting an active participation, inclusion, on-line skills, entrepeneur skills, sensful partnerships with other countries and entities and also to emprove the support and knowledge of youth workers towards young people.<< Impact >>This project is aims to improve quality of our projects and the functioning of our organisations, through the training of our youth workers, in the design and management of projects. The results will be subsequently refined and sorted in a table. The approximate summary from the partner organisations for each area of potential impact is given below. The expected impact on participants is firstly getting more comprehensive knowledge about proposals and innovations on the specific tools, games and methods, regarding risks of internet, safe usage and modern technologies for better prevention and effective use of tools aimed to prevent, share experience, good practice, learning tools and skills As well as acquiring new training methods and best practices to use in their classes, events, lessons, training,etc. so youth workers and, lecturers are more efficient in influencing target groups. Opening their understanding about other cultures and sharing tools for intercultural communication on the level of cyber bullying prevention will be achieved through the sufficient number of partners. Expecting members of each partner to successfully transfer technique, methods, tools, and games among the staff members who did not participate directly on the course, so that this project will have a higher quality and therefore, more possibility of being financed also this experience obtained from the course will help to design own training for foreigners. improvement of their team work capacity and gaining self knowledge, better self confidence, better knowledge on the topic on the level of European dimension. This project focuses on the development of social skills while the young person is still in prison or the most severe sentence has't been applied, in order to give him more opportunities to integrate into civil society and to be able to act in accordance with civic and democratic principles. The need for the project is revealed by the example of a young man who is in a prison since the age of 18, has grown up in an unbalanced family, has been in a prison for almost 9 years and does not want to leave 2 years before his release because he is afraid he will not be able to adapt. We hear such stories both in Lithuania and in partners working with young people in other countries.On the other hand, in some partner countries, either integration measures are not in place at all, or integration officers play a supervisory role. Informal interviews with youth organisations and youth workers in partner countries have shown that youth workers have a fear of working in prisons or with young people who are healthy offenders, have negative prejudices and do not have measurable work tools. It has been found that a large proportion of youth workers use a film screening and discussion method to develop young people’s social skills.It is also worth noting that the idea of the project implementation came to the implementing partner after assessing the integration policy of changing convicts in Lithuania and noticing the critical need for work with young people and gaps in practical tools. The project partners have been selected from countries where the number of convicts also remains very high at EU level and the integration measures in place are not effective enough, with youth workers just starting to provide assistance to delinquent young people. In these countries, the role of the youth worker as an equal partner is not yet established. After assessing the critical need in Lithuania and discussing the project goal and progress with partners, it was decided to describe this project idea and pursue the set goals not only at the national but also at the international level.<< Objectives >>Through this project, we aim to contribute to the consolidation of youth policy by promoting the social inclusion of the target group, with the help of qualified youth workers, who will help young people to develop social skills, develop a sense of citizenship and democratic values. In the long run, this project will contribute to economic stability and growth, as those sentenced to imprisonment will reintegrate into the community and the labor market and become value-added creators.To achieve this goal, we set the following tasks:1) To analyse the reintegration programs applied by partners and socially advanced counties for convicts or young people who made a crime in the integration and the methods of reintegration of young convicts;2) To assess the readiness of youth workers to assist those sentenced to imprisonment in the reintegration process and to establish the role of the youth worker in the reintegration process by creating inter-institutional cooperation networks;3) To develop, apply and evaluate the methodology of developing social skills of young convicts;4) To publicize and promote the results of the project prepared for further use, to continue the activities started during the project and to maintain the established cooperation relations.The project is expected to achieve the following results:- raise awareness of partner organizations and youth workers in the partner country when working with young people prone to crime;- the quality of cooperation between youth workers' organizations and workers in different sectors will improve;- the quality of work with young convicts and the competencies of youth workers will improve;- the matching of opportunities and needs of participating young people with the labor market will be improved;- the basic and universal skills of the participating young convicts will be improved;- The methodology for developing social skills will continue to be used when working with young people in social difficulties.<< Implementation >>Taking into account the set goal of the project and the tasks to achieve this goal, the following activities will be carried out during the project implementation:1) Partner planning visit, activity and quality assessment planning, publicity, agreements with partners.2) Review of methods and policies, research of youth workers, analysis, systematization of information.3) Meetings-discussions (inter-institutional cooperation network) with youth workers, specialists of the education system, employment system, organization of integration of convicts, to actualize the situation and to clarify the needs; publicity.4) Development and publication of social skills training methodology, agreements with correctional or reintegration institutions; publicity of activities and results.5) Development of a training program for the training of youth workers and local training; publicity by providing an active link.6) Testing of training methodology in the project partner countries during the implementation of the program with young convicts or other young people prone to criminal activities, mentoring for youth workers;
