We want to strengthen our students' position as attractive skilled workers and apprentices , while we work to find ways to prevent dropout among vocational students . The project is also helping to meet students' needs for internships and recognized trade that is scarce in the region or that is not available in Gudbrandsdal / Oppland. Our aim is also to strengthen vocational education at the school by helping to make it more attractive and suitable to meet needs of the business community in the region. According to International Strategy for Oppland county , upper secondary schools should help young people to be given the opportunity to have international experience as part of the education. Our mobilities have alle been implemented in 2015-16, but our project have lasted until 2017. The school have in all years sent students over quota - also this year, and therefor had a significant expense associated with such projects . The school is thus clear in its strategy over the gain this type of training provides. Our relationship with companies, schools and training centers in Europe which we have cooperated with for years, is valuable for us. For example Shipyard Montex Shipyard (metal and welding ) in Poland, Training institution Kreishandwerkerschaft Wittekindsland (timberwork) in Germany , Tallinn Industrial education Centre (CNC machines and metal / megatronika ) in Estonia, Cesfor ( kindergardens ) in Italy , Vilnius Builders training Centre ( building trades ) in Lithuania and Hi Hostels in Iceland. We have decided to withdraw our mobilityperiode in Sweden at Rodengymnas for ICT and Glasgow Clyde in Scottland for Healthstudents. These went to Italy at Cesfor instead. There are a total of five vocational programs covered by this application. We have for many years worked with several of these partners with good experience . By using these partners spread across different lines of study our goal has been to implement training and work experience in a foreign country as part of an education with emphasis on academic and knowledge -related , personal , social and cultural learning. It is a goal in itself to give students practical experience in a country and in a work environment that has great relevance to the field development. In addition, it is important to strengthen the status of vocational study and attractiveness both in our school , but also in society in general. Quality and reputation, ability to develop and innovate reflect the needs and demands of this. Companies in the region have requested our students to meet today's development. For instance the health sector needs to recruit local workers to nursing homes , retirement homes and home care . Within nursery / primary schools it is a need of manpower with broad cultural experience to meet today's multicultural society. Companies need employees with broad expertise and experience in communicating with workers from other European countries. On this basis, we have focused on how to improve quality in selected occupations and education so that each student in the project (with a transfer value to the remaining class, school, local community) gets good learning outcomes as part of the education.

The main objective was to increase the human and professional capital of our trainees and staff through the contact with European social and professional realities, which are different from their native country’s and thereby promoting a mobility and globalizing mind frame as well as allowing them to enhance the value of the external dimension to think as global citizens of Europe. Our intent was to increase self-esteem and the desire for life learning, so as to promote critical and thinking citizens, allowing our trainees and staff to become reflective citizens with a spirit of entrepreneurship, inculcating in the participants, beginners of vocational training, to acquire the desire to learn and at the same time fighting to reduce the number of dropouts.he group of participants, composed of 31 trainees, 9 who have completed their studies, 15 staff members of different professional areas working at the school and 4 accompanying teachers and were distributed by 3 activities: the 1st integrated the 40 trainees and lasted 4 weeks, being divided in 2 flows (Spain/IItaly), the 2nd integrated 4 trainers that accompanied the trainees on activity 1 (in two flows) staying with them for 7 days and the 3rd was the group of 15 staff elements who received training for 7 days. The participants were students from the vocational courses of: Photography; Management; Healthcare; Renewable Energy; Hygiene and Safety at the Workplace; Communication/ Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising; Tourism; Sociocultural Animator and Thermalism. The project included activities before the mobility, which included pedagogical and cultural preparation, provided by the sending entity and linguistic preparation, provided by Lancaster College, a Languages School in Caldas da Rainha. The trainees’ mobilities in all its flows, included cultural visits in Barcelona and Rome and other nearby locations; Technical visits and internships in companies in the respective areas of the training courses covered and leisure activities; the staff’s mobilities, in addition to cultural and tehnical visits and leisure activities, included also training and workshops, that took place in schools/ professional institutes in the destination country.Throughout the project dissemination activities were developed in the school and in the community, including through a radio program, social networks and local newspapers. For the 59 participants this mobility was a good means of allowing them to gain and deepen their personal (confidence, autonomy, responsibility), professional (methods of learning and work) and communication skills and knowledge which will be useful in their future professional ventures on account of the innovation and updating acquired; it also contributed to raise students’ awareness regarding the importance of continuing their education and training allowing APEPO’s recognition as a privileged educational place, which values the training it offers and its staff’ skills.By analyzing the evaluation forms applied throughout the project we found that the degree of overall satisfaction is significantly positive, given that 90% of respondents rated the various aspects assessed as "" Satisfied "" (4) and "" Very Satisfied "" (5).This experience gave the participating organizations the opportunity to strengthen partnerships, being an asset to the growth of the School 's internationalization the strategy. With this project the participants had the opportunity to develop skills in the ""Know-How"", the ""Know-Being"" and ""Know-how to be"", including linguistic, socio-cultural and professional level, fundamental to interact in a changing society; they amplified their perception of the reality of working life and the respective interrelations of European business organizations, which is an asset for any mobility and labor integration in Europe; were also able to assess the quality of their performance, the development capacity of the projects they have been proposed, the capital gains that they were able to add and proposals of interest expressed by some companies involved, to continue to maintain contact with graduates, beying proposed to be represented by them in Portugal (as happened with 2 companies in Rome). It is noted that the Project’s implementation met, as intended and among others, the purpose to increase the employment opportunities and the professional integration of young people at national and European level."

Centro Studi Formazione Orientamento,Privatna srednja skola WallnerFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2018-1-HR01-KA102-047039Funder Contribution: 12,649 EUR"By participating in the project we wanted to solve several important issues: increasing the scope and quality of mobility for people involved in vocational education and training, encouraging foreign language learning, monitoring European and world trends in gastronomy - so that our students can pass them on to students in our school as well as facilities where they perform practice in our region. In the area of Dalmatia, there has been a great deal of seasonality in the hospitality industry for some time now, current staff in that sector are used to such long-term work, so we wanted our students to do their mobility in countries where they already have year-round work. In this way, our students had the opportunity to get acquainted with a different approach and view of this profession in a professional sense and also in terms of culture.Through many years of work in education and monitoring of students during compulsory professional practice in facilities, we noticed that by applying the usual method of education and training after graduation and leaving vocational schools, students can not sufficiently meet the needs of modern gastronomic industry. After several completed mobility and work projects and interviews with students, we realized that the students took full advantage of the project to acquire new skills, broaden their horizons and understand their profession. Our biggest problem from the point of view of the students themselves were caused by not understanding the needs of guests and therefore providing quality service. That is slowly changing and students who have returned from mobility are much braver in trying new dishes and changing the offer and composition of our menus so that our indigenous quality recipes are offered in a different modern outfit that retains quality but adapts to the various tastes of a large number of tourists from around the world. The students passed on everything they had learned with great enthusiasm to their colleagues at school. The students reacted in the same way, as waiters who adopted new skills of making cocktails, different ways of serving different dishes and adapting the serving of dishes to different types of tourists. The language competences of three students changed for the better, while one student showed an improvement in the use of a foreign language and increased self-confidence of students who were extremely successful in their profession during school but extremely withdrawn. The first group performed their mobility in November 2018 in Germany, and the second in November 2019 in Italy.During the mobility, the participants had to see where they are with their knowledge working in top catering facilities. They also took the opportunity to show the mentors and staff of the facility where they did their internship, the knowledge already acquired during their schooling and as a result of all these two students received an offer to return after school to work as employees of the facility where they stayed.Students showed and mastered new skills during the preparation and presentation of cold ""buffet"", preparation and presentation of ""gala lunch"", cold appetizers, preparation of risotto, various sauces, preparation and presentation of ""la card"" dishes, vegetable dishes, main dishes of meat and preparation and presentation of desserts. The student waiter / tourist hotel salesman participated in helping to serve a cold ""buffet"", serving a ""gala lunch"", cold appetizers, fish appetizers, serving risottos, serving 'a'la card' dishes, serving wine, serving non-alcoholic drinks, serving main meat dishes and serving desserts.Upon their return, during their compulsory school practice and conversations with teachers of vocational subjects, the students showed a higher quality of work and adaptation of various traditional dishes in modern gastronomy and also in understanding and using a foreign language. This helped them a lot during the completion of their schooling (all students were high school graduates during their mobility).Once again, the quality of the training was shown, in which the students gained first-hand experience both by watching and by working together with top chefs. We realized that the students used all the advantages of international cooperation in overcoming barriers between cultures through the quality exchange of knowledge (with their colleagues in partner schools), acquired during the internship in high-quality catering facilities. Given that all participants are quality and hardworking young people, we are sure that the project will enable them to grow into even better people and workers, responsible people who will ultimately result in raising the level of service in gastronomy and presenting a good tourist product of our region. We hope that the skills acquired through this project will increase the student's employment opportunities and help them discover the importance of European mobility. For all students who attended the mobility, the internship was officially recognized upon return to school, and the entire experience is listed in their Europass CV."

Centro Studi Formazione Orientamento,EUROYOUTH Portugal,Accentuate (North East) LimitedFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2016-1-UK01-KA102-023793Funder Contribution: 213,554 EUREUROVET1618 has been an Erasmus+ VET learner mobility project targeted at young people aged 18 to 25 in the first year after completion of vocational qualifications from NVQ Level 3 to Level 6 (undergraduate degree level) in each of the three sending organisations, the Universities of Northumbria and Newcastle, and Northumberland College. EUROVET1618 aimed to provide carefully chosen bespoke work placements in Europe, which would enable the participants to acquire enhanced knowledge and skills in their occupational sector, in order to give them a better chance of securing employment locally at an appropriate level. This would also contribute to the regeneration of the local economy by helping to provide the trained workforce that is needed in most of the region's industry sectors, and in particular business and marketing, media and graphic design, and hospitality and tourism. The region's economic development needs skills in all sectors and in particular business and marketing, media and graphic design, and hospitality and tourism, which are all fundamental to future growth; with the need to drive up demand for skills, most of the new work opportunities in these sectors will be at the qualified vocational levels.Furthermore all employers continue to demand greater soft skills such as those which can be developed in a trans-national work placement.EUROVET1618 introduced participants to the experience of living and working in other EU countries, and to the principle of looking further afield for new ideas and inspiration. It was intended that by experiencing mobility placements they would gain new practical experiences, learn how to carry out occupational tasks in different ways, begin to see new employment possibilities and develop adaptability to change in their chosen occupational areas, and in this way contribute to improving the competitiveness of our key regional industries. By working for 3 months within a different culture they would develop the 'soft skills' which are now key for employment, and also increase their awareness of wider European citizenship, culture, traditions, and languages, and hence become better EU citizens through this experience. The aims of the project were therefore:1) To enhance the employability of young people who have recently completed vocational training at NVQ Level 3 through to NVQ Level 6 (undergraduate level), and who are resident in the north east of England, by providing them with relevant work experience in other countries2) To enable these participants to broaden and develop their linguistic and cultural knowledge, skills and competences through direct experience of working in other countries3) To contribute to the regional economy by producing potential high quality recruits who have a European and international perspective, and who can add European value to companies who employ them4) To add value to participants' existing qualifications by providing them with opportunities to practise and develop their existing skills in a European contextExpected outcomes were:1) Participants who are more knowledgeable, skilled, personally and professionally confident, and employable than before their placements2) Participants who could, following their placements, add value to companies in key economic sectors in the north east of England by providing a European and international perspectiveThe mobilities took place over a period of two years; there were 32 mobilities in total, divided into groups of different sizes according to operational demands. It was initially intended to send them to four experienced host partner organisations in four different countries, but ultimately they were sent to three of these organisations in three different countries, as the fourth organisation had to be removed from the partnership. Groups of participants of different sizes undertook work placements at the same time in each city, providing opportunities for mutual support and reflection and sharing of experiences. In addition, each of the groups received monitoring visits during their placement from Accentuate 'accompanying persons'.The project was entirely successful, in that the full quota of 32 participants were enabled to undertake tailor made, relevant and useful placements at an appropriate level to their recent qualifications, and each participant completed their placement successfully and received Europass certification as a result. Participant feedback on the entire experience was overwhelmingly positive, with the inevitable odd exception. All participants identified many areas of development that they had achieved in both specific occupational skills and the soft skills required by employers, as well as the interpersonal coping skills developed through living and working independently in another country. The impact on the participants was that they returned to the UK feeling better equipped to enter their chosen career, and with an advantage in the job market
