<< Objectives >>Salvaj ASD and its partners want to carry out this project to provide opportunities for youth organizations to explore deeper the issues & concepts around dealing with conflicts, developtheir capacity & competencies to engage with these issues from a personal and professional context, thereby ensuring the participation of young people in civic lives in their projects, communities, countries & wider Europe. This project will particularly help European youth workers and European trainers to reach out to young people who are marginalised by society, to help them in their critical thinking skills, learn the language of emotional intelligence & self expression thereby promoting diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue promoting common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights. We are committed to the idea that it is vitaly important to learn how to manage conflicts to improve the way we interact with each other both professionally and personally. This is an inclusion project as it gives the youth workers the skills and competences to tackle deep rooted conflictual issues that arise in all of us but particularly those who feel most marginalised by society which sometimes lead to societial conflict.Looking at conflict is particularly important when it comes to European youth projects, where ideological and cultural differences be they political, religious, cultural and language can be idealbreeding ground for the emergence of interpersonal conflicts. This diverse context can become a growth opportunity and a framework for learning, where conflict becomes the key to personal and professional growth and development. This methodology is a development from ‘Theatre of the Living Experience’ which originally comes from the US. With adaptations to an educational environment we have incorporated elements that make it a very attractive and powerful tool for youth workers who work in European projects. The Theater Experience seeks to create spaces of trust where participants can play different roles they acquire and build characters from improvisation. Part of the methodology is recreating daily conflicts with the objective of stimulating the emotional memory of the participant, to help them reconnect with real life situations where conflict management is still blocked and thus to become aware of where the problem is and of course how to fix it and what tools are needed for that. Experience Theater helps participants to analyse their own strategies (conscious and unconscious) to address conflict situations, how to extract lessons from them and how to help others to experience the same learning process. The project objectives are set at two levels:At political & strategic level:1) To explore the potential of Living Theatre as a tool for self-discovery and professional development and creativity.2)To give the youth workers the skills and competences to tackle deep rooted conflictual issues3)To give the tools to European youth workers and European trainers that will enable them to reach out to young people who are marginalised by society, to help them in their critical thinking skills, learn the language of emotional intelligence & self expression4) To promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue promoting common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights.5) To support participants in the process of understanding the dynamics of conflict in the field of KA1 projects.6) Facilitate the exchange of experiences among participants regarding the mechanisms of conflict from their respective organizations.7) Encourage the internationalization of organizations implementing projects within Erasmus + with youth and developing their ability to cooperate with other organizations in Europe. The learning goals are:a) To develop the social competence of the participants and especially their ability to resolve conflicts and promote self-awareness as individuals and their responsibility as professionals working with young people.b) Improve participants’s skills to empathise with others with whom they may be in conflict.c) Develop participants’ ability to facilitate educational activities through the Theatre Experience.d) Develop participants’s emotional competence and their assertiveness in conflict situations.e) Develop participants’ language skills in English language as standard language work on Erasmus + projects abroad.<< Activities >>The planned activity is a 7 day training course for youth workers in Cortemilia (Italy) from 13th - 19th of April 2020. About the profile of the participants. We will host 27 people (24 participants, 2 trainers + 1 support person) all youth workers from the programme countries: North Macedonia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, Greece, Spain, France and Serbia. The average age is 30 years, having participants aged between 18 years old and ... more.As for the activities and methodology: the project activities generally involve sessions where theatre, improvisation, reflection on that experience and the development of working groups with subsequent discussion is the basic flow. Performing short activation games in the morning and reflection groups in the afternoon, after the last session, complete the set of techniques to be realized in the TC Positive Conflicts. The overall methodology is based on non-formal education itself and in particular for major sessions on conflict management it has developed Living Theatre methodology adapted by the team to an educational and pedagogical context.<< Impact >>The project results have:1) Creation of a new training curriculum.2) The development of a set of RECOMMENDATIONS with regard to youth policies that course participants understand relevant towards the development of these specific skills of youth workers.3) The development of a project video summary.4) Creating a blog on the Internet where visibility of the project, the results achieved and a description of the training curriculum will be accessible.5) The improvement of participants ‘skills to manage conflict;6) The development of listening skills, empathy, assertiveness and communication and improving cultural competence and linguistics in English. In terms of impact and long-term benefits:Locally, the acquisition of new skills by the participants to work effectively, with greater certainty here conflict management is concerned. The impact at regional and national level will consist of the multiplication of this learning by participants to other professionals in the field of youth work in Europe. The international impact is given by the international cooperation of the participants through the creation of new European projects with Erasmus +.

The venue was chosen in order to have a suitable environment for outdoor activities so it’s possible to test outdoor tools and share good practices in outdoor education. The Venue is located at the mountaneous village of Murzachihle, which is a perfect location for participants to reach the destination from their home countries, as well as perfect for outdoor activities. It is called u Toski and it has all the necessary facilities for organizing a project, as well as a pictureswue environment with possibility of hiking, organizing rope courses etc.The coordination team consists of representatives from Poland, though all major decisions are taken democratically involving all the partners at the earliest stages of the LTTC and via Skype meetings. Fundacja Mlodzi dla Europy is an applicant organization and responsible for general project coordination, application and reporting as well as for hosting and overall logistics of the activity. The programme of TC was developed in consultation with all project partners and 2 trainers who will be a part of coordinating team. The role of coordinating team is to coordinate the process of application, implementation and evaluation with all the partners.Partners from (Poland, Lithuania, Spain, Greece, Slovakia, The Republic of North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania)will contribute with the feedback on educational sessions while the final programme preparation. If the project is approved by the Polish National Agency they were in charge for selecting participants (participants have been already preselected) and supporting them before coming to Poland. They should not only support them technically, by helping to organise their travel and obtaining visas, but also they have to explain them the background of the project, to share the expectations and to discuss possible follow up activities. Besides that, they are expected to be in touch with the project team at all stages of the project (preparation, implementation and evaluation). There are several considerations behind the methodology and activities that are planned for this TC.1 group dynamics process that is found at such kind of activities which means a lot of emphasis should be put on the creation of a safe and friendly environment, providing the space and time for people to get-to-know each other personally and professionally in order for them to enter the intensive group learning process.2 we structure the TC programme in a way to make participants understand the logical steps based on the learner–centered approach and experiential learning cycle theory, all the methods we used are experience-based.3 active involvement of participants and recognition of their expertise and experience in certain topics, active sharing and participation in the discussions will ensure diversity and complexity of learning process.4 permanent learning process awareness, trainers will organize daily reflection space groups where participants will share the most striking moments of the days, ask questions, write down important information, give and receive feedback.5 mixing the group as much as possible, to let participants work all the time in different teams in order to show them how challenging and at the same time encouraging diversity in a learning process can be, and how much it contributes to the personal growth and professional development. As for the methods, all of them will be non-formal, non-frontal and highly participative fitting different learning styles. All activities contribute to the projects objectives, as after intensive learning process participants will develop not only competences in outdoor education, but also competences linked to their professional profile. They will also get a concrete assessed and evaluated experience of outdoor education that will become basis for future joined work on the topic of youth participation and empowerment. It will contribute to professionalism and efficiency of youth workers working with the groups of different backgrounds, to strengthening international cooperation and to increasing of the level of youth participation at local levelThe training course is open for youth leaders, youth workers dealing with young people, especially youth workers dealing with young people from diverse background (marginalised, radicalised background, ethnic or religious minorities, refugees etc.) staff from NGOs and trainers. As participants have been already pre-selected by partners.<< Impact >>Thanks to the implementation of the project, participants will acquire new competences and skills contributing to their personal and professional development. Social and Personal development and enrichment, social interaction and a greater sense of self- worth and belonging is on of the main desired impacts on participants. First of all, develop competences in the area of outdoor education and experiential learning and non-formal education as this is strongly linked with achieving the project objectives. This training will become “a push” for long-term development process and long-term international cooperation in 8 countries involved in the project. The main impact outdoor educations has a lot of potential for self-development and self-awareness of an individual and strengthening the soft skills such as efficient communication skills, respect and trust for others, tolerance, non-judgment approach and appreciation of diversity, intercultural communication skills and appreciation of human rights. All these are extremely important nowadays in the situation of economical crisis that cause labor market crisis, refugees crisis, regional conflicts, extremism and radicalism that are flowed by such extremes as human rights violation and hate speech towards muslim people for example. Ability to use outdoor will strengthen their capacity to address those topics at local/regional/national/international levels and to contribute to building of culture of peace in general. As we have already mentioned, as a target group of the project is youth workers, leaders, and trainers– this mixture will ensure the sustainable impact on the local community when the participants will come back home. Moreover, the group will include young people with special needs with different backgrounds. There will be clear guidelines/recommendations developed on how to integrate outdoor activity to the local youth work and inclusion and integration of people with special needs and fewer opportunities. This information will be spread among project partners and will be available on their websites and social network groups in one week after the project. Besides that, we will send it out through our networks target the wide audience. Before the project will be created a group on Facebook, their participants and the team will be share information of the project, photos, and links. In addition, we expect participants to post information about the projects on the web pages of their organizations. Then, we will also upload it to the Salto toolbox, to make it available to the wider public. At the end of the project, we expect participants to create a video and the manual about using outdoor activities as a tool for the inclusion of people with special needs and fewer opportunities, which will be spread through social media and web sites and Facebook pages of participating organizations. After the projects, participants are expected to make a presentation about the projects and it results in their organizations, universities, youth group and so on.After the project, we plan that our participants implemented outdoor activity, including in them people with special needs, in their local realities. Participants will spread information about these activities in social media. We expect the participants to act as multipliers of what they have learnt and of course to stay in touch and share among the informal network that was created during the project (through social media), moderators of the social groups will be nominated during the project, they will be in charge of collecting feedback from the participants and supporting exchange among the participants after the project. At the organizational level, we expect the cascading effect to happen – that this activity will bring awareness about the importance of youth empowerment, participation and inclusion and will change the attitude towards these concepts, and of course that some concrete practical changes will happen afterward.
