"The project "" Vacuuming the house of culture vol. 2 "" was a continuation of the project completed in 2017. The idea for the second part emerged as a result of evaluation activities and a diagnosis conducted in the team of Poleski Art Centre. The institution was in the process of change, which concerned both the situation in the team and the program strategy. In the year 2018 the institution expanded with another branch, which intensified the need for integration and deepening of linguistic, social, substantive and managerial competences of the employees. As the job shadowing method proved to be successful in the first edition, this project also assumed its use. In the framework of the project, three mobilities to three European countries were organized: Germany, Sweden, Portugal. A fourth institution from Finland also shared its experience. The strategic aim of the project was to observe good practices in four areas in which we diagnosed the need for development: outdoor activities, organization of film screenings, digitalization of archival materials, and creative evaluation of activities in the field of culture and non-formal education. The indirect aim of the project was to develop soft skills among cultural educators, build relationships within the team and improve communication in order to conduct consistent and effective promotion and audience building. The project involved professional staff and volunteers cooperating with the Centre. Mobilities were attended by groups of 3, 4 and 5 people. After the mobilities, events were organized to implement the newly acquired working methods and to use the developed competencies. As a material result of the project, based on the overall experience gained, we have developed educational cards, including selected ""case studies"". These cards are an auxiliary tool during workshops for employees of cultural institutions. In addition, the second part of the e-brochure was created, which is a showcase of the center and a summary of the entire process of changes that have occurred in recent years. The result of the project is the further development of the institution and staff, which translates into the quality and attractiveness of our offer to a larger number of regular customers. The effect of intellectual exchange during the project are new perspectives and proposals for the competitive functioning of the cultural center in Lodz, which is becoming an institution at the European level. As of November 1, 2021, the Poleski Art Center, under the name of Art Center, became by the decision of the City Council one of the branches of the newly established local government cultural institution – the Municipal Culture Zone in Łódź."

Distribution at the final conferencesThe Reports to be submitted to NA is supported by Interim and Final Reporting of Dissemination & Exploitation, Sustainability and Impact, with input from all partners. Summary of all the evaluation activities, as well as the results achieved, will be made.<< Results >>R1 - Course / curriculum – Design and developmentThe project curriculum is a methodological document and guides the development of Course (R2), and Platform( R3) activities. Its development is preceded by knowledge transfer, literature review and target group survey. It supports the understanding the associated problem through theories, frameworks and other structures that exist in the literature and that allow the practical implementation of the course (R2) and platform (R3) that will support it.R2 – CourseThe course is an excellent and innovative opportunity to empower and develop the capacities of adult educators and trainers to ensure their role in linking the needs of learners from diverse social backgrounds to share key values such as their contribution to social cohesion and the preservation of heritage and culture, and to prevent and combat depopulation in rural areas. Based on a participatory, holistic and learning-centered strategy, adult educators will have the opportunity to participate in a unique learning experience in a diverse and supportive environment in a creative process, enabling them to learn by doing, through new methodologies mediated by documentaries of good practices, well adapted to the target audience needs. Documentaries will be used to break down stereotypes and inspire new life stories. The subject of this result is divided in 2 parts: the content-based part, including opportunities to learn from best practices in the field. The second part is activity-based, combining the interactive tools provided on the platform, allowing participants to create new ideas and work collaboratively.R3- PlatformThis intellectual output provides the development of the ENTRUST platform and the programming of e- tools (self-assessment, collaborative network, creative lab). The platform will be built from an open-source platform, such as Moodle, which allows the creation of custom learning environments. It will be user-centered, offering the creation of management and personal profiles through a simple process of sign-up and supporting the evolution of the learning process. The platform should use gamification techniques, which make the learning experience more appealing, involving the participants more. Some of these techniques include:- Progression: moving gradually to more complicated learning material, from theoretical content through analysis of documentaries to the development of self-assessment and job creation actions; - Challenges: problem-based exercises, which the learner should resolve to progress towards training completion; - Meaningful choices: give participants the possibility to create their own trail/pathway; - Social interaction: collaborating with peers for solving common problems using the interactive tools, exchanging ideas in a forum or at the collaborative network; - Achievement: collecting points for the completion of certain learning paths, culminating in the award of a completion certificate path.R4 – Guidelines - Learning / teaching / training material – Manual / handbook / guidance materialGuidelines for VET Providers introduce the ENTRUST rationale / approach for the target audience and illustrates how to use the assets in the ENTRUST pack (Curriculum, Course, e-tools within the e-platform, etc.). It also presents the session plans for the modules and units of the training program to be applied in full and suggestions of activities that adult educators/trainers can use in their training activities, taken from the Course. The requirements for receiving a Certificate of achievement on the training end will also be presented. These guidelines aim to explain the nature of the ENTRUST training material and to encourage VET providers to use them. It will explain how trainers should guide and support learners throughout the blended learning course. It will also give recommendations for adopting the ENTRUST material to face-to-face training sessions if needed.

<< Background >>Climate Change is unarguably the most complex issue that humanity has ever faced: its origin is linked to the very early stages of human impact on the natural environment, and the social, cultural and economic disparities it has sprung over the last few centuries. Even though it is a global issue, the responsibility and negative impacts are not globally distributed: the most ecologically fragile landscapes will suffer the most and earliest, furthering the vulnerability already existing and enhanced by the last few centuries of history. Mediterranean-type ecosystems are particularly fragile regarding agricultural activity and food production: long and dry summers followed by autumns of intense rainfall create maximum erosivity rates on soils that, due to recent tectonics and pedogenesis, are already poor in organic matter. In southern Europe, especially Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey, there are clear environmental disparities when compared to their norther counterparts. On top of that, many of these countries shared economic and environmental policies in the last century (especially Portugal, Spain and Italy) that in the name of autarky promoted agricultural intensification in poor lands, leading to increased degradation and furthering their innate fragility.Adding to the equation the industrialization of the food sector, and there is the perfect equation for chaos in the livelihood of smallholder farmers across Mediterranean Europe. In the face of climate change, smallholder farmers are to expect enhanced desertification and loss of agricultural productivity (decreased yield and higher maintenance costs), and these problems will only get worse according to the latest IPCC scenarios. However, there is hope: climate-smart agriculture allows smallholder and new farmers to implement management practices that have the simultaneous effect of increasing yield, enhance soil properties (such as water retention capacity and organic matter), and effectively capture atmospheric carbon dioxide and store it underground. The soil and climate types of Mediterranean Europe combine both the opportunity and the need to apply such changes, and due to their important but fragile activity, smallholder and new farmers are the perfect place to start. This project allows to respond to the targets of The Paris Agreement to enhance soil carbon at a rate of 0,4% per year (as proposed by France in the COP21, 2015, https://www.4p1000.org/ ), The IPCC Guidelines and Scenarios (AR5 from 2014 and SRCCL from 2019, and with the newest AR6 to be released in late 2021) to limit global warming to 1,5/2 degrees, the sustainability, smallholder and technological challenges of the new Common Agricultural Policy (2021-27) and the European Green Deal (2020), as well as various nationwide rural development plans in southern European countries. We are applying for this project because we want to empower smallholder and new farmers across Mediterranean Europe to rethink or change their land management practices to effectively combat climate change and desertification, increase their economic sustainability and be a valuable step towards a sustainable and fair future, where no one is left behind. We believe in the actual impact we may have, and the partnership was established with that in mind: there is the scientific background, the institutional validation, the technical know-how and the willingness to act local in order to tackle our common global issue.<< Objectives >>The main objective of the Project is to provide the CarboNostrum HUB with educational/training resources to empower potential end-users, Target-Group1 (TG1) smallholder, young and new agricultural producers, and stakeholders and policy makers, Target-Group2 (TG2): Agricultural Cooperatives, Local Development Associations, Rural Areas Municipalities, with the best possible tools and knowledge to apply climate change mitigation and adaptation solutions in poor and degraded lands of Mediterranean ecosystems, by attending courses and access research and educational material. This way, our target audience will have the capacity to design their proper land management practices to ensure a sustainable use of natural resources in total balance with local knowledge and the sustainable challenges of the near future.<< Implementation >>The activities were designed to increase and maximize the development and transferring of know-how and skills between partners and users. The feasibility of the project, it relies on an interdisciplinary approach to science by environmental disasters in the Mediterranean region and the ways of facing, data collect on specific practices of use/occupation/management of land in partner countries. The main activities correspond to the preparation of the results of the project: PR1 – Consist of the creation of a theoretical framework on sustainable agriculture (fieldwork, desk research, networking). PR2 – Collection of a battery of case studies that meet the challenges posed by climate change through climate-smart agriculture (fieldwork, desk research, networking). PR3 – Creation of an innovative blended course and learning package following practical methodology that allows a rapid transfer of knowledge and skills that empower learners with knowledge and skills that have stifled their role in offering a more sustainable agriculture that preserves the transfer of fields (brainstorm, desk research, critical thinking, networking, course design, dissemination actions). PR4 – Creation of a Web-GIS platform that integrates the different dimensions of the project in an interactive and user-friendly environment, designed to promote the contents that are more personalized, motivating, collaborative and engaging for self-learning and present all the results of the project. The CarboNostrum project will implement the following activities: - Overall project management and project workflow; - Organization and hosting transnational project meetings between the partners; - Organisation and reporting Learning, Teaching, Training Events: definition of the agenda, logistics, drafting of minutes/reports and other follow-up activities; - Organizing and hosting Project Pilot Course; - Preparation of presentations for meetings, multiplier events and other opportunities for dissemination; - Organizing and hosting Multiplier Events (workshops, webinars, final conference); - Monitoring and quality control of processes and project deliverables; - Issuance of regular progress and financial reports; - Creation and the CarboNostrum marketing campaign and communication strategy; - Translation of communication and learning materials into national languages; - Design and continuous updating of CarboNostrum website and social networks; - Supervision of partnership dissemination activities; - Design and deliver newsletters at crucial moments of the project; - Implementation and supervision of CarboNostrum's Exploration, Sustainability, and Impact strategy; - Exploitation actions to transfer and assure sustainability of project results to target groups, policy makers and stakeholders; - Networking activities to be carried out by all partners; The activities of the project follow the principles of responsibility, interdependence and accountability, the group's creativity technique and critical thinking, interdisciplinarity and complementarity. These activities will ensure the development of the project in a balanced manner, according to the respect of timings and responsibilities.<< Results >>The CarboNostrum project results will integrate:1)CarboNostrum Handbook (ebook) that will systematize a theoretical framework regarding sustainably agriculture which reinforces resilience to climate change and reduces and/or removes greenhouse gas emissions It will also integrate a Best Practice Guide with a wide variety of land use and management practices to enhance soil properties, provide carbon capture and adaptation measures to climate change and enhanced desertification. The CarboNostrum Handbook will be designed from desk research, focus-group, and interviews with experts (video recording), made by the partners and will be delivered in an e-book format to be more sustainable. 2)CarboNostrum Battery of Case Studies (ebook) is a collection of 2 prospective case studies per partner country (desk research, interviews and field trips – video recording) that meet the challenges posed climate changes through a climate-smart agriculture, which is “an approach that helps to guide actions needed to transform and reorient agricultural systems to effectively support development and ensure food security in a changing climate. The Battery aims to collect the strategies and practices implemented in the context of a climate-smart agriculture, the practical impacts, the advantages/disadvantages, and the alteration in processes approaches applied on the agriculture business models.3)CarboNostrum Course is an innovative blended course (e-learning, synchronized sessions, and face-to-face meetings) following a theory-practice methodology that allows a rapid transference of knowledge and competencies (theoretical framework; exemplification, peer learning, application to real problems, and discussion of real cases) that will empower learners with knowledge and competencies which assists their role in providing more sustainable agriculture that actively preserves the fields. The course will be designed around the following themes: i.Climate change and desertification in the Mediterranean region (expected effects in susceptible areas and vulnerable communities).ii.the carbon cycle of land-climate and plant-soil feedbacks: soil carbon sequestration in a smallholder environment.iii.mitigation and adaptation tools in poor and degraded lands (land use/occupation, management, and valuation) under climate change.iv.Back to basics: the role of traditional knowledge in climate-smart agriculture in a changing world.v.Assessment of soil parameters and designing a baseline scenario with readily available tools.vi.creating value from ecosystem services, carbon cycling and land restoration. The course will also integrate a learning package with a diverse set of learning resources that will be used during the course implementation but can also very proficient for distance learning, including multimedia videos, to enhance the learning path.4)The CarboNostrum HUB, a Web-GIS platform that will integrate the different dimensions of this project under an interactive and user-friendly environment; CarboNostrum HUB will be designed to promote the content in a more personalized, motivating, collaborative, and engaging for self-learning and present the tools, resources, and all project results. There will be two areas of the HUB one for professionals and one for learners. This platform design will complement visual, audio, and text-based features and the learning products developed in previous phases. The CarboNostrum Handbook and the CarboNostrum Battery of Case Studies will provide a mapping guide to the partnership to have a clearer understanding of the climate-smart agriculture approach and its processes, and the challenges that the CarboNostrum Course has to answer during the designed process. The CarboNostrum Hub is the web platform where all things CarboNostrum will be hosted.

<< Background >>The project seeks to promote equal opportunities and access, inclusion, diversity and fairness across all its actions and is being developed against a background of unprecedented challenges and opportunities facing the world such increasing globalisation in order to end stereotypes. Our goal is for adults to understand the stereotypes that can lead to discrimination, improving the availability of high-quality learning opportunities for adults at the same time that will help the inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sports. In this interconnected world increasingly globalised, most people come into contact frequently with people of other cultures and from other parts of the world, are affected by events in other countries, have multiple global relationships (at work, in business, socially, through family ties, travel etc.), and will have to negotiate and collaborate across age, gender, social, cultural, ethnic, racial, political and geographic differences. We want to reach the largest number of adults, giving resources to their educators so that, when they are trained, they can send the message that making this discrimination is wrong, with a view to increasing accessibility and outreach to people with fewer opportunities and that had some barriers occurred as a result of discrimination. Our project will support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of people in Europe and beyond, thereby contributing to sustainable growth, quality jobs and social cohesion, to driving innovation, and to strengthening European identity and active citizenship, while promoting values of inclusion and diversity, tolerance and democratic participation, knowledge about shared European heritage and diversity. On the basis of the 2019 Eurobarometer on discrimination in the EU, age discrimination remains one of the most prevalent forms of discrimination. (40% of individuals in the EU consider that age discrimination is widespread in their country). Age discrimination in the field of employment, but it is also widespread in access to goods and services. Discrimination in access to health care is a particularly worrying area for people aged 55+, which was brought forward in the context of COVID-19.Gender is one of the most form of discrimination at work and at home (housekeeping chores, and children and elders care). Based on the 2019 Eurobarometer on discrimination in the EU, the majority of answers report that that women have children and have less time for work so they are not as available as they should, and there´s also thinking that women have worse leadership than men. Discrimination based on gender and age are present at work, at accessing services, everywhere, and it prejudices not only the people victim of this discrimination but the entire society, since it is a way to deny human rights to a part of population, and when not everybody has the same rights, it usually leads that more rights will be removed eventually; and also prevents people with opportunities to act in behaviours considered outside the stereotypes. Therefore, this is a need of adult society, which we want to attend with our project. We considered that providing training to adult educators is the fastest way to reach most of adults; and also having good presence in internet and social media, to reach adults directly. Also, adult educators expressed they need activities, resources, tools, created with adults as target, for help them to provide better education to their adult learners.<< Objectives >>We have several aims with EASY project.Increase the quality of formal, informal and non-formal adult education, improve the quality of the adult education offer through professionalisation oi its staff and building capacity of adult education providers to implement high quality learning programs, and this way develop the quality of teaching and learning in all forms of adult education, and making it relevant to the needs of the European society at large. We want that adults understand what is the process of creation of stereotypes, how they can lead to discrimination, namely in gender and age discrimination, in different sectors of society (work, home, health services, etc.); and how they can be aware of this phenomenon and prevent discrimination; increase critical thinking in adults. We hope this would help to promote equal economic independence for women and men, closing the gender pay gap, advancing gender balance in decision making, ending gender based violence and promoting gender equality beyond the EU, and at the same time it would promote the equal treatment between persons irrespective of age, which would ban discrimination in the areas of social protection, education and access to goods and services making inclusion and diversity more accessible, for all, at all the levels. Create resources targeted to adults for adult educators.<< Implementation >>The project results will be achieved through a number of activities. The project results represent the main activities of the project: all partners are involved in producing all project results, and each PR includes guidelines, creation of the results, testing / evaluation of the result, improvement according to feedback collected in the previous step, finalisation, translations into partners languages.Aiming to have the target group engaged from the start, and therefore having the target providing feedback on the results, we need to have dissemination activities: we will have a project website where everybody can access all the project results, social media presence through Facebook and YouTube page, flyers and newsletter distributed online through mailing lists. Exploitation activities, in which we include the Exploitation sustainability and impact plan and the workshops in each partner organization region, to show the target group the advantages in using EASY Tool Kit results and how to use them. Quality Assurance and Evaluation activities, aiming to guarantee the project results have the quality desired. This includes feedback from the target, and from participants on the framework and pilot action. Project management activities necessary to the project to be implemented smoothly, according to schedule, and following the Erasmus+ rules, and within budget approved.<< Results >>Project Results:-PR1: EASY Course Framework. Includes the modules, learning outcomes, content and resources of course targeted to Adult Educators, on age and gender stereotypes.-PR2: EASY Films and Comic Strips Catalogue. Includes a minimum of 12 films (feature and short) and 12 comics (cartoon and/or comic strips), which portray the stereotypes addressed in the project-PR3: EASY Toolkit - Creation of activities to adult educators use on their adult education sessions. The activities will be based on short films, cartoons, comic strips – appealing stimulus – included in the catalogue. Minimum, we will select 5 films and 5 comics, and for each one selected, we will create 3 activities (minimum) to be monitored in adult education sessions-PR4: EASY Educators Guide, with suggestions on how to use the activities, how to embedded the thematic on other subjects.Other outcomes of the project are:EASY image and brand, so the Results are easily identified, and in order to be more appealing to target groups and stakeholders.EASY website, with information on the project and with all Results available to download for free
