The project Assistant trainers sharing knowledge (ASK) focused on a group that had not received much attention before: the assistant trainers in youth circuses. Some of the partners had created their own training courses for assistants and were willing to share their expertise and develop their program through the common exchange where as in most of the countries there was absolutely no training available for the assistant trainers. This was the main focus of the project: to create a curriculum for a assistant training, as well as learning material (videos) and guidelines for a circus school in order to support the assistant trainers in their role. In the project the 11 partners organised five training modules for assistant trainers, circus amateurs interested in becoming assistant trainer, as well as youth circus professionals and trainers of trainers. Together, in a facilitated process, the participants shared their knowledge, gained new skills and created the project outputs. They also made contacts to their colleagues in other European countries. After the project, a European model curriculum for an assistant trainer course is available. A team of three facilitators finalized the curriculum based on the work by the participants during the masterclasses. In addition, a booklet of circus schools was published in 10 different languages: English, Estonian, Finnish, Flemish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Slovenian and Spanish. 13 videos for assistant trainer training are available on Youtube. All materials can be found at https://www.eyco.org/resources/assistant-trainers/ The project results were disseminated through social media, newsletters, printed materials, different seminars and network meetings, and even post cards with information about each masterclass. Five multiplier events were organised, one of them online, and they gathered more than 210 participants altogether.

"Under the title of ""Stategic Partnerships for Vocational Education and Training,"" the Turkish Basketball Federation, applied to the Erasmus + Programme Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices for funding. The title of the project is ""Creating a More Effective Referee Education and Training System"". The present situation with regard to the referee classification, evaluation and education system is explained in detail within the relevant sections of this Project application. The advantages and disadvantages, and most specifically the needs of this sector have been analysed and the importance of creating an updated system which answers to the needs of modern basketball has been outlined. The education and training of top level referee instructors has been situated as the core goal of the Project, after which wider circles of the education system will later be adjusted accordingly down the hierarchial ladder into grassroots officiating levels. In order to train referee instructors, a referee training system must be created. In order to create an effective, sustainable referee education system, quality input from the top organisations of Europe are required.Taking this necessity into consideration, the Turkish Basketball Federation set out with making a short list of the top countries in Europe with regard to the most developed referee systems, after which the French, German and Italian National Federations were incorporated as partners. The project begun with a detailed analysis of the present systems in these 4 top countries in European basketball - the methods, principles, implementations, advantages, disadvantages and also any possible shortcomings or problems. This detailed analysis used as a basis towards creating the best applicable system the Project can come up with. All four partners carefully worked on project reporting and national research templates to gather relevant data, and accurately evaluate the reports and research within each respective country. The outcome contains strong guidelines on 3 main questions: “Who to train” ""What to teach"" and ""How to train"". The answer of “who to train” give us a clear definition of characteristics of potential referee instructors and also detailed job descriptions. The answer to ""what to teach"" later constitute the curriculum of referee and instructor training, and the answer of ""how to train"" the methodology of referee and instructor training. The developed curriculum and its related methodology attached together and a training manual referee training and training for instructors was created. After the training manual has been created, the referee instructors – the core target group of the Project – come together and be trained according to this modernised manual (Training of Instructors Phase 1). The total number of the participants of this training would be 44, comprised of 10 referee instructors and 1 trainer of instructors from each respective country. Upon completion of this training, the referee instructors sent back to their respective countries to test what they have learned within their working local systems. This is done by organising national referee education (refreshment) clinics in each partner country within the designated period of the project calendar. These same referee instructors then brought back together to report on their findings and test results, and to discuss their experiences - which methods worked well, which did not, what should be improved, etc. (Training of Instructors Phase 2) At this point our draft training manual revised according to the feedback obtained from the instructors. A Project Handbook prepared to disseminate the new Referee Education and Training System. This was translated into the French, German Italian and Turkish and printed for local usage in all partner countries. The handbook consists of a ‘The Training Module for Referee Instructors’ (O3) including the ‘Curriculum’ (O3-A1), the ‘Training Methodology’ (O3-A2) and the ‘Training Manual’ (O3-A3)The ‘Set of Competences for Instructors’ (O2) is another output that was circulated and put into use in all partner countries. At the completion of this project, the new system officially will be used by the Turkish, Italian, German and French Basketball Federations. Upon successful usage and within a certain period of time, the ultimate goal of the project could later be to disseminate this innovative referee education and training system to a larger number of European Basketball Federations - specially those countries who might be a little behind and could really benefit from it – in order to create a single referee education system unifying all national basketball federations of Europe."

The Scottish FA Erasmus+ project engaged 78 mobility participants selected from 3 areas from our coach education structure: 1. Scottish FA/UEFA Pro Licence Coaches candidates (27 places – Italy) 2. Scottish FA/UEFA Youth Licence Coaches candidates (13 places – Portugal) 3. Scottish FA/UEFA B-Licence Coaches working within the development of Women’s/Men’s game (38 places – France) The Scottish FA European mobility projects are a key part of improving the Scottish FA coaches competencies, knowledge, skills and experience which is an integral part of the strategic development of the organisation with regards to quality development and internationalism. The scale of this project, potential learning opportunities and the number of participating organisations, notwithstanding the knowledge and skills gained will have had a major impact on the Scottish FA coach and player development pathways. Resulting in new innovative and improved ways of cooperating towards key development areas by providing more attractive programmes at the Scottish FA. Our proposed objectives intrinsically linked with the continuous development of our coaches gaining accredited qualifications, CPD, enhancing employability and quality and quantity of opportunity, they were as follows: - More of our coaches gain UEFA accredited coaching qualifications recognised across Europe and World - To provide reality based training and learning which favours learning in game and club context, using knowledge, skills and attitude to deal with realistic situations and problems in football - Stimulate an attitude of lifelong learning and develop competence through knowledge transfer during practical sessions; work experience (individual and collective learning); the learning cycle (activity, reflection, theory building and planning) and new concepts - To expose our coaches to high quality European Football Associations and club structures, coaching methods, philosophies and practice - To provide further opportunities for employment within the UK and Europe for our coaches through shared learning, skill acquisition and qualifications - To support the Scottish FA career development employment monitoring tool for participants engaging in mobility projects - To disseminate European coaching theoretical and practical learning at a National, Regional and Local level through our coaches - To enhance our player development programme through dissemination of European football structures best practice The Scottish FA carefully chose the project partners through a proven established relationship and indication of their ability to deliver mobility through EU funding and their current membership of UEFA. In addition, it was essential that the host partners would meet the objectives and outcomes of the Scottish FA mobility project and possess the appropriate expertise required when working with the specific target groups, notwithstanding providing additionality and further benefits to their own organisation. It was also fundamental that the host partner organisations showed extensive experience in European development planning and collaboration but had a similar ethos and value base as that of the Scottish FA. The Scottish FA engagement in European mobility projects and cooperation with international partners aligned with our strategic plan and subsequent objectives to forge long lasting European partnerships for the development of our 'Home of World Class Coaching', the planning as a host city for Euro 2020 and to increase the qualification, skills and knowledge of our coaches through the education of football development practices and structures across Europe. The Scottish FA identify the needs of our coaches through continually reviewing their practice but also the practice of European Football organisations. The Scottish FA have an ethos of continuous improvement in everything we do and this is achieved and reviewed with our coaches through their CPD planning, evaluation surveys, appraisals and gaps in coaching provision. Through this process identifying key learnings from other European football organisations became very apparent as an important aspect for our coaches to engage with. The impact European mobility projects on our coaches is multi-faceted but fundamentally and formed part of the assessment criteria of our UEFA licensed coaching qualifications and CPD hours, notwithstanding improving our coaches skills, knowledge and capacity to integrate good practices and new methods into their daily activities. This will transcend into improved employability and experiences for our coaches which engaged in the project but also benefited our regional structure and local communities through dissemination of European practice. The project will benefited ?of our coaches directly but through dissemination it also benefited our players, volunteers, students and clubs.
