It is a multi-site and comprehensive University welcoming each year 26 000 students, of which 3000 are international, and employing 1400 teaching staff and 1000 administrative staff. It offers over 150 courses from technical university diplomas to PhD Degrees, in 5 major academic fields: Science,Technology and Health; Law, Economics, Management; Human and social Sciences; Arts, Humanities and languages and Educational Sciences and Techniques for Physical and Sport Activities. Its 31 recognised research units cover 4 scientific centers: Agro-sciences, Environment, Biotechnology and Bioeconomy; Digital and engineering Sciences; Health; Humanities and Social Sciences. It has more than 250 partnerships with international universities. The URCA has developed a policy of internationalization on every level and is strengthening its integration in cross-border and international scientific networks to fully support the internationalization of teaching and research. Its Internationalization strategy is based on three main actions:- Reinforce our integration in international cross-border networks to increase our attractiveness.- Give all our students an opportunity to get an international experience.- Attract high quality students, postgraduates, teachers and researchers. The actors of internationalization within the URCA are well structured:- the International Relations Office implements the internationalization defined by the President of the University thanks to 4 units: the Mobility/cooperation unit, which is in charge of the organization of the mobility and the implementation of the cooperation policy; the International research projects unit, which help teacher-researchers to set-up European and international collaborative projects (H2020 for example); the International communication unit, which promotes the University at the international level, encourages international mobility and organizes a series of integration events for our international public.- Exchange programs coordinators, who guide the students and are responsible for the development of international relations in each department of each Faculty.- International Relations correspondents in each of our 8 Faculties and 31 Research Laboratories, who are in charge of promoting international cooperation and mobility within their unit.- The Commission for International Relations, which is composed of elected internal and external members, which statues on strategic orientations and activities, such as international joint diplomas. The URCA provides its international students and lecturer-researchers with personalized hosting, integration and support, in particular with its Euraxess service platform. Its House of Languages strengthens and promotes multilinguism at the URCA, offering certification in several languages.Today, 600 students benefit from an outgoing mobility, 200 as outgoing students in academic exchanges (100 with the Erasmus + frame and 100 outside Europe) and 400 as outgoing students for an internship abroad. We welcome 130 incoming students, of which 100 within the Erasmus + frame and 30 outside Europe.About 15 teacher-researchers benefit from outgoing Erasmus + teaching mobility each year, as well as 5 administrative staff. The URCA wishes to increase outgoing mobility for students, teacher-researchers and staff in the coming years. To do so, it has developed several tools and activities: creation of quality charters for international exchange programmes and International Joint Degrees, in addition to the Erasmus + Charter, as well as the credit mobility recognition in the student’s curriculum. The URCA has also created several mobility guides and established well defined procedures, especially as far as language requirements are concerned. Thanks to its International communication unit, the URCA has also been developing for many years numerous events and activities aiming at welcoming and integrating our international students in academic exchanges: Integration week for all international students, Welcome ceremony, Ciné-club for students, Students’ Welcome Day, International Speed Meeting and regular friendly activities organized throughout the year (picnics, cultural events…).This pro-active and qualitative policy has helped to increase the number of outgoing and incoming students as well as raise awareness amongst teacher-researchers of the importance to supervise correctly the mobility periods and to guarantee academic recognition in all the curricula offered by the University.

"The origins of the partnership: The proposed project is based on an initial partnership initiated in 2009 between the ESPE (Higher School of Teacher and Education) of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and the Pedagogical University (UNIPE - Argentina) after a study visit to France of professors and students from this university. AUCA and UNIPE collaborated on a Master degree curriculum cofinanced by the Ministry of Finance of the French Embassy in Buenos Aires from 2011 to 2015 as part of the ""Saint Exupéry"" fellowships. From this first experience of international collaboration, they extended their relations to the universities of San Martin (UNSAM - Argentina).Partnership structuring:Since 2011 a strong partnership has been organized between URCA, UNSAM and UNIPE to create a double degree in the field of education and training. From 2013 to 2018, various mechanisms were implemented to enable teacher mobility. Funding was obtained through the PREFALC program (2012-2015) and the Erasmus plus Credit Mobility program (2016-2018) and later through the Argentinian Misiones program (2018), but also from the equity of each university. The agreements between the partner universities involved in the first PREFALC project have been signed between URCA and the Universities of San Martin and UNIPE in Argentina. In addition, a joint degree proposal has been signed between URCA and UNIPE (Argentina). The objectives assigned to the project were:- To develop dual master's degrees in education, in accordance with policies implemented in participating universities.- To train teachers to prevent school failure. Taking pupils 'academic difficulties into account in teachers' practices is at the center of both public policies and the daily work of trainers. The cooperation between the URCA and the partner universities focuses on the training of teachers who are able to adapt to the needs of students and ensure their academic success whatever their particularities or difficulties.- To develop collaborative research on the issue of inclusion of all students and the fight against academic failureNumber and type / profile of participants:In the framework of this Erasmus + project, mobility focused on teacher mobility from URCA to Argentine partners. The profile of the participants in master level training courses, which are the subject of this project, is similar in the two Argentinean universities and at the URCA (France). The courses carried out within the framework of this project concerned the first and second year ofthe Master degree. The number of students taking these two-year courses is 60 students at UNIPE and 80 at UNSAM.Description of the activities carried out:- Courses and tutorials for first and second year students in education on issues related to the analysis and practices of teaching work, preventing school failure and inclusive education.- Research seminars for students who are doing their master thesis.- Research seminars with researchers from both universities.- Participation in the organization of the international symposium held in Buenos Aires in October 2017.Long-term results and benefits:- The project has strengthened cooperation between French universities and partner universities in Argentina, increased the internationalization of university education courses related to the project and mobilize teachers from all participating universities to international cooperation .- The objective to develop institutional agreements and double degrees of Master in Education has been developed.- During two years of the project, the training of teachers in the partner universities was oriented towards the prevention of school failure and the inclusion of all students in accordance with the needs of Latin American societies.- Synergies between partner universities in research on inclusion issues and student learning difficulties have been achieved. In particular by organizing an international colloquium and joint publications. The cooperation established for the last 9 years between the two Argentinean universities and the URCA has been strengthened thanks to this project and it has taken a new boost which should continue in the future."
