The radicalisation of young people is on the rise, on all levels of the spectrum - left, right or religious. Youth Work therefore plays an important role as the radicalisation of many young people could be successfully prevented if youth work would better know the different mechanisms and motivations behind the different forms of extremism. In order to successfully prevent the radicalisation of young people youth workers need to get to know the different steps, codes and motivation for the process the young person is going through. During our TC for Youth workers have tackled the following agenda: - Study Visits to prevention programs in the Bremen area - Terror comes with many faces - Exploring Europe’s history with terrorism - Current forms of radicalization, special focus on Islamism and right-wing extremism - Religious and Racial theories for extremism - Youth Workers Role - Skill-set for recognizing tendencies in young people and how to address them The Trainings Course has been implemented nearby Bremen in November 2018.

Many people feel a sense of commitment to their neighborhood and are actively involved in activities to improve the quality of life there, thus being an active citizen for their community. And the more citizens feel that they are able to contribute to their public spaces, the more vibrant their communities will be. As the idea of Placemaking is not yet so widely spread among young people and their communities, the organizers decided that they will need to develop skills and knowledge on Placemaking generally and especially on Creative Placemaking, which is directly connected with the concept of active citizenship and social inclusion. Placemaking inspires people to collectively reimagine and reinvent public spaces as the heart of every community. Placemaking is a collaborative process by which people shape their public realm together and it is fundamentally about inclusion and shared community ownership. An effective Placemaking results in the creation of quality public spaces that contribute to people’s health, happiness, well being and how it makes the people who use it feel about themselves. But if there is no active citizenship, there will be no Placemaking, as active participation of citizens is always in need for new initiatives. Creative placemaking is a powerful idea that can increase civic engagement of young people in the community life and thus bring changes, redefine public spaces and contribute to the development of healthy sustainable communities. Objectives of the Youth Exchange are: -to empower young people to be active citizens, to develop a sense of European citizenship and identity -to bring the idea of Placemaking to young people -to promote Creative Placemaking -to encourage creative and critical thinking among young people, to empower sense of initiative -to encourage involvement of young people in decision making processes that affect them directly and indirectly -to raise awareness on importance of Placemaking in community designing process -to improve leadership skills of young people -to support the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities -to develop intercultural dialogue This YE is designed for young people, youth workers, who are really interested in active citizenship and want to improve their community and the environment they live in by being active citizens.and networking between EU and Neighboring countries Participants for youth exchange project were young people from age 18 to 30, except the group leaders who had no age limit restrictions. The main aim of this project is to educate youth workers in the field of entrepreneurship with a focus on SE. We aim to equip the participants with knowledge of entrepreneurship that they would then pass on to youth. We would also focus on SE so that with the information on SE and with knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship itself, these youth workers could open their own SE and/or help their organisation follow the SE path. The objectives of this project are: -To help the youth workers to get hands on thе ‘Dеsign Thinking’ process, by creating business ideas inspired from prе-dеfinеd challenges in theirw local communities.-Show what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to manage risk taking.-To tackle the topics of leadership, Self-empowerment, time management, risk assessment and team work which are all essential in the area of entrepreneurship. -To help the participants to get an experience on the Canva business model and how to adapt the Canva business model for the planning of a social enterprise. -Up-skill youth workers to foster the employability and sense of initiative with the young people that they work with. Through this project we will be giving competencies to youth workers on how to educate young people in starting a business. One outcome is that once the knowledge is transferred from the youth workers to the youth, the youth will have better support system and guidance towards the right support needed to start up a business venture that has the possibility of growing more in the future and thus employing more people within the same society. This will have a multiplying effect.Furthermore, as the youth workers will be empowered and given skills on how to effectively open and run a business with a focus on SE, they will have all the knowledge to open a SE themselves, which will benefit them, and the whole community. Also, these entrepreneurial skills that will be given to the youth workers, could be used by the youth workers themselves, in the running of their organisations.<< Activities >>The Social Entrepreneurial Youth Worker is a 7-days training (+2 travel days) which will be held in Zagreb between the 10 – 17th September 2020 with participants coming from Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Greece and Malta. The sessions will be using methods like energizers, team building, simulations, workshops, on-site visits outdoor activities and discussions amongst others. All the activities involved, will include non-formal methods of learning. The programme is divided in a way that one session leads to another, thus creating a flow that keeps the participants learning and also keeps them motivated and always ready for the next step. The training will be divided into three main parts. In the first part, the participants will get more skills and knowledge on entrepreneurship and the traits of an entrepreneur, more knowledge on the different types of entrepreneurship and also knowledge on social entrepreneurship. In the second part, they will start thinking on the need that they want to address and then they start developing their business idea. During this time, they will have the opportunity to meet successful social entrepreneurs and also to visit a successful social enterprise and a local incubator centre. After they pitch their idea to the sharks, the project will pass on to the third and final stage that is where the participants will learn more on funds that they can make use of to kick start their idea. The selected participants for this training course have to be one of these categories: - Yоuth wоrkers whо are empowering young people, and regularly соnduсting lосal aсtivities with young people in the areas of employment and entrepreneurship.- Youth workers with more than 2 years’ experience and active in the youth field so as to make sure that they have some experience of youth work and that they really work with young people - Nоn-fоrmal education trainers/facilitators: Who had faсilitated previоus aсtivities aiming to drive the entrepreneurial learning of their participants and who were interested in the Design thinking methodology and creative thinking methods in general.Apart from that the selected participants have to have: - An interest in the topic of entrepreneurship - Working knowledge of English although if they do not have we will help them to achieve this so that they do not miss on any learning. - Able and willing to disseminate learning outcomes on a local level - Availability for the Online preparatory meeting with the trainers and with their local sending organisation.-Ready to read the preparatory material that the trainers will send.It is important to note, that the selection process will be transparent and will be made available for all the partners to see so as to make sure that as the selection process was fair, and all applicants had a fair chance of being accepted.<< Impact >>This training course is aimed for youth workers who are working with young people. The main aim is to equip the participants with knowledge of entrepreneurship that they would then pass on to youth. In return, they will be in a better position to equip young people (their target group) with competencies that will help them to acquire an entrepreneurial mind-set, while equipping them with leadership skills to be capable to run their own business. Although they will not be physically present in the project, these young people, will gain from the learning and experience that these youth workers got from the project as the youth workers will start implementing the learning, they got in their youth work practices. As we would also focus on SE, the participants will be equipped with knowledge and information that they will sue to either open their own social enterprise and/or help their organisation follow the SE path. Furthermore, the participants will: -Get hands on thе ‘Dеsign Thinking’ process, and learn how to create business ideas inspired from prе-dеfinеd challenges in their local communities.-Learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and how to manage risk taking.-Learn on the topics of leadership, self-empowerment, time management, risk assessment and team work which are all essential in the area of entrepreneurship. -Get more experience on the Canva business model and how to adapt the Canva business model for the planning of a social enterprise. -Up-skill their skills and ability to foster the employability and sense of initiative with the young people that they work with. This will have a multiplying effect. The new skills gained, will not only benefit the youth workers and the young people they would be passing these skills to, but also the sending organizations will be benefiting a lot. With the skills gained there will be a ripple effect through the sending organizations and some of the skills like time management, leadership skills and risk management skills will surely benefit the sending organizations. The participating organizations will benefit even more from this. One has to remember that the skills that a company needs to be run are the skills that any other organisation needs to be managed. Apart from that, as we will be focusing on the topic of social entrepreneurship, these participating organisations can take this opportunity to learn more on this area and then when they go back home, learn more on it and see if maybe this is a model they should follow. Also, partners, apart from having better skilled members, will have the opportunity to meet new partners from different groups. If the interests of these groups match, they can agree on future cooperation. This will help them to expand their list of trusted partners with whom they can cooperate in the future. Furthermore, these organizations will have youth workers/leaders with added skills, knowledge and attitudes in entrepreneurship. They will be spreading their knowledge in the local community and disseminate the results of the project in that way.
