IFA organized internships in small groups during spring, summer and fall of 2018. Participation was open for apprentices from every profession and industry from all over Austria. The applicants were selected based on their technical, linguistic and personal skills. IFA organized the travel, stay abroad, internship, accommodation and insurance for the participants as well as accompanying language courses. IFA prepared the apprentices and companies organizationally, culturally and linguistically for the stays and ensured that the internships were recognized as part of the apprenticeship training in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BAG).Given that a majority of the apprentices were minors, the apprentice groups were accompanied by an IFA-counsellor during the first week abroad. The counsellors helped the apprentices get settled in the host country and visited all the participating companies to ensure that the content and processes fulfilled the objectives. Contact persons at the receiving institution and IFA were available to support the participants throughout their entire stay abroad.158 students from vocational schools and colleges also completed an internship relevant to their professional field that was suitable for their training and level of knowledge. The internships were organized in close cooperation with the sending schools in order to ensure they were recognized as part of the compulsory internship. Most student internships took place in the summer of 2018. The duration of the internship ranged between 2 weeks and 9 months. The content of the internships were defined in terms of the occupational and training profiles and curricula as well as the individual skills of the participants and were specified before the internship in a learning agreement between IFA, the participants and the sending and receiving institutions together with the learning objectives that were to be achieved during the internship.Furthermore, within the framework of the project, 73 training officers from companies and vocational schools as well as vocational training experts participated in 1 week-long workshop to exchange their experiences in order to learn about VET systems in other countries, compare them with the Austrian system and exchange ideas amongst each other and with colleagues from abroad. The goal was to promote the quality, innovation and the European idea in vocational education and training through cross-border exchanges. The participants were multipliers and could share their experiences in companies, schools and throughout Austria and thus contribute to a Europeanisation of the Austrian VET system. While abroad, the participants acquired technical, linguistic, social, intercultural and personal skills and expanded their personal and professional horizons. An internship abroad contributes to the strengthening of important key skills such as teamwork, personal responsibility, flexibility and much more. Experiences abroad promote career opportunities and ensure the future career of the participants and thus the competitiveness of Austrian companies. International exchange increases the overall quality of the Austrian VET.IFA is a non-profit association that has been organizing internships abroad since 1995 for apprentices, professionals and training officers. Since 1995, IFA has helped more than 7.500 people take part in an EU-funded stay abroad. As the applicant and co-ordinating institution, IFA was therefore responsible for ensuring the quality and proper organization of the project.IFA works with a network of experienced partners in the target countries with whom partnership agreements (Memoranda of Understanding) defining the conditions and quality criteria already exist. IFA has been successfully working together with most of the partner institutions for many years. Throughout the entire stay abroad, there was always someone from the receiving institution, the host company or IFA at the participants’ side to supervise their progress and ensure the quality of the internship. After completing the internship, all the participants received a “Personal Transcript” outlining the activities completed and knowledge and skills acquired with confirmation from the receiving institution and host company. All internships were recognized as part of the vocational training in Austria.

Education and training are a real tool for supporting the social and professional paths of young people and adults. For that, the challenge is also to allow an access to European mobility to the greatest number of young people and professionals. This mobility able to confront ideas and know-how for adults, support young people in the construction of their personal and professional backgrounds and support innovation in rural areas. After an individual carry from 2005 for FRMFR Grand EST (6 MFR), a lot of consortiums are set up: Objectives have been achieved both quantitatively and qualitatively with 97% to100% of performance. 16 MFR are now part of the consortium on 17 MFR Grand Est network, In september 2018, The MFR GRAND EST network has approximately 2030 young people, including 154 apprentices . These young people are in training service (35%), agriculture (37%), trade (2%) and orientation class (26%). 450 young people from CAPA, BAC PRO FPI or apprenticeship classes are eligible for mobility. For 3 weeks. 5 days for adults. The Covid pandemic decided otherwise since nearly 80 mobilities were canceled in the spring of 2020 and around forty in the fall of 2020. This halt in the beautiful dynamic has repercussions on this file.Indeed more than a third is impacted. The work in particular around the impact could not be carried out due to the constraints of the establishments to ensure pedagogical continuity. Mobility is no longer at the heart of the teams' primary concerns. In the Grand Est in the spring, many sick leaves due to the pandemic also had repercussions on the planned actions. The 249 beneficiary students were enrolled in BAC PRO FPI in the training sectors: agriculture, equine, vine, wine, management of natural environments and wildlife, technician in sales advice, agricultural equipment, mat maintenance, personal services. Note the departure of some SPAVER CAPA. There are 16 countries of destination but almost half of the mobilities take place in Belgium, there are 15 mobilities of staff or administrators including a team mobility (9 employees of the MFR of Saint Dié)Most of students are minors during their mobility ( 60 %), and some come from a disadvantaged socio-economic background and a geographic sector with an unemployment rate of around 10% of the working population. To avoid the degradation of professionalisation and the conditions of employment that should not be a lifelong burden, European mobility will help them to acquire openness, autonomy and openness to the world ; but also to share professional know-how, adapt, apprehend another culture and to find interest in learning a foreign language. Professionals will discover European educational, pedagogical and professional practices. They will be able to re-examine theirs practices in order to reinforce their personal skills. The actors of this project are ambassadors. They will encourage mobility by participating in mobility projects at the MFR. They will create an openness to Europe like developers. The ambassadors participate in the implementation of logistical and practical aspects, cooperation arrangements with European partners, pedagogical, linguistic, cultural and intercultural preparation, promotion and dissemination of impacts and results. Skills are assessed via Europass mobility (optional test). Press, social networks, events and meetings (testimonials); each action will be shared with the territorial actors and the general public. Several impacts are expected: Reinforcement of job opportunities for young people; professionalisation for adults; federation of the various actors around European mobility projects; sustainability of partnerships; improvement of existing practices; implementation of an innovative alternation; gratefulness of the GRAND EST MFR network at the sectoral, local, national and international to acquire skills assessed via the Europass and for some the optional mobility test for the professional bac. After the experience of mobility, communication and valorization of the actions are conveyed through the press, social networks, meetings (testimonies) and dissemination of the results with observation of the changes. events in the Consortium's MFRs with the presence of elected representatives at the ""month of Europe"" event in May 2019. And erasmusdays 2019 and 2020The ambition of the FRMFR Grand-Est consortium is the development of the quality of this European perspective.. So, the MFR join the European project: ""To act on one's own life and to realize oneself. To excel in his profession and to undertake in his environment with optimism and humanism. To create with others a world more just, with more harmony and more solidarity """

Contact persons at the receiving institution and IFA were available to support the participants throughout their entire stay abroad.123 students from vocational schools and colleges also completed an internship relevant to their professional field that was suitable for their training and level of knowledge. The internships were organized in close cooperation with the sending schools in order to ensure they were recognized as part of the compulsory internship. Most student internships took place in the summer of 2017. The duration ofthe internship ranged between 2 and 26 weeks. The content of the internships were defined in terms of the occupational and training profiles and curricula as well as the individual skills of the participants and were specified before the internship in a learning agreement between IFA, the participants and the sending and receiving institutions together with the learning objectives that were to be achieved during the internship. Furthermore, within the framework of the project, 37 training officers from companies and vocational schools as well as vocational training experts participated in a 1 or 3 week-long workshop to exchange their experiences in order to learn about VET systems in other countries, compare them with the Austrian system and exchange ideas amongst each other and with colleagues from abroad. All internships were recognized as part of thevocational training in Austria.
