<< Objectives >>By mobility of youth workers, we wanted to offer new knowledge and competences for working with young people in an international environment and thereby contribute to the development of youth workers and organizations. We wanted to bring the participants closer to other cultures, work with young people from different backgrounds, work with young people with fewer opportunities, get to know and understand different work practices, and acquire and recognize competencies that they could record in Youthpass.Through the project, we encouraged young people to be active (European) citizens, participate in civil society, voluntary associations. With using nonformal work methods we educated participants about democracy, political systems in individual countries and in the European Union, opportunities for young people in their home countries and the European Union, about functioning of the media and to encourage them to engage in intercultural dialogue and solidarity.For changes, we need an educated and aware society that will know its rights and fight for them.<< Implementation >>The goals of the project are, in addition to education about European countries, European values, European laws and opportunities, drawing attention to the issue of youth passivity, involving young people and thus encouraging them to become active European citizens, establishing dialogue between young people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, longer-term integration and cooperation of participants and organizations and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and new organizations.We carried out the mobility of youth workers and youth exchange. 15 youth workers were involved in the mobility of youth workers, two youth workers without age limit from each organization.32 participants aged between 18 and 30 participated in the youth exchange, motivated for active involvement in all areas of life. The project involved young people and young people with fewer opportunities who want to play an active role in society and strive for positive changes. They are interested in problems in other countries and how to deal with them. Most of the participants are active in local non-governmental organizations, do volunteer work and want to upgrade their knowledge and get new ideas for work.<< Results >>The project participants gained new competences and opportunities for working with young people and experience working in an international environment. They learned about the political system and the state of democracy in Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Poland, Portugal and Hungary. We learned about the process of integration of individual countries into the European Union, challenges in the participating countries in recent years and good practices of voluntary work and individual initiatives in all countries. The participants learned a lot about organizing campaigns, civil initiatives and about the good changes that were the result of voluntary organization and work. Youth workers got new ideas and skills for working in local organizations, as well as recognition and partners for working on the international market. We have created a brochure with a description of our workshops, which are available on our website in English and in Slovenian, Serbian, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese and Hungarian. Young people were given additional impetus for positive changes and ideas for carrying out campaigns and voluntary activities.With the participants, we explored European values, the rights of European citizens and the priorities of the European Union. We talked about the operation of the EU and individual countries, their policies and operations. We reviewed EU priorities 2019-2024 and European opportunities for young people with a focus on the Erasmus+ program. In the final evaluation, the participants reported on new competences, gained self-confidence and motivation for active work in an international environment.

"<< Objectives >>The project SAHS will take place in Ragusa (Sicily, Italy) with the partake of 28 participants plus 3 coaches to be held by 7 associations from as many European countries. The project is designed to host youth people(18-35),and it will deal with journalism, defense of human rights, media, youth working and local impact on political issues. The project SAHS was planned for 7 participants with fewer opportunities, one for each association. The project aims to involve; volunteers and members of NGOs, aspiring journalists, youth workers, media trainers, immigration experts and humanitarian law, staff who work closely with refugees and victims of human traficking ,minorities group rights and fight against discrimination. By implementing the project and developing the various activities, Generation Zero wants to give to SAHS participants tools and knowledge to recognize a fake news. In order to reach this goal the project wants to tech to the participants which news can be defined as false or inaccurate. We intend to provide participants with a series of experiences on ethnicity, race and safety in order to analyze and understand them at best, all this with a series of non-formal education activities. The project focuses on specific objectives that aim to achieve competences . The first objective is to diffuse among participants awareness of the critical use of the media, to understand their power and manipulative use. Ideally we intend to support integration and counter the false myth of the immigrant seen as a social danger. Another of our specific intention is to combat the myths about religions in order to promote the idea of diversity and pluralism as a cultural richness for every EU country. Following this idea, we want to accomplish another specific purpose, that is to give to the participants the requirements of non-formal education that, better than others,allow us to filter and understand the news that often goes in a generic way by the media.This is the way in which it is possible to promote the spread of ideas of solidarity and pluralism between different cultures, which is linked to the development of a sense of belonging to the European community. Our project is strongly linked to the founding objectives of Erasmus +. In particular we share with the program the macro-objective of pushing young people to active participation, as reported by European cooperation in the youth field (2010-18). We share specific objectives, such as the participation of young people in democratic dialogue through the sound and punctual use of information resources within the EU. From our point of view, young people who are more aware of their role and of the responsible use of information source, may be less vulnerable to manipulation for purposes, other than informing European citizens correctly. As general objectives, the SAHS project aims to develop the capacities of the participants with a view to improving; participation in social and civic life, inclusion, the fight against racism and stereotypes, improving the social and social skills of young people. In this context, peer education activities will help learners who will also be allowed to experience the anguish of a migrant traveling the path of the sea. This will allow us to tackle current and deeply felt issues in a controlled and mediated way, even within the countries of which the organizations are a part. The idea of welcoming the participants of some specific areas of Europe will allow us to broaden the spectrum of visions and ideas in order to best combat the most disparate stereotypes about Jews, Muslims, Sinti and migrants. The choice of organizations exactly follows the search for a partnership of associations that have been implementing actions and projects aimed at the active participation of young people aimed at the fight against discrimination and hate speech.<< Activities >>The activities to be implemented during the project are a symmetrical alternation between cognitive activities of facts and myths, combined with dynamic activities, that will involve the participants about the ideal re-elaboration of the phenomena addressed. The expected number of participants is 28 participants divided into 7 associations, to which 3 trainers / facilitators must be added, made available by the GZ host organization. In the very first hours of the project, we planned to set rules and regulations that will help us during the activities and divide participants into working groups, according to the dictates of peer education. ""Come and meet us"" will permit ourselves to ""leaving the box ""in order to build a joyful and relaxed environment. This moment allows us to outline a collaborative, healthy and profitable discussion. This activity will be fundamental for the facilitator considering the aspects of interest participants, taking an overview of groups and dynamics: the activity ""Expectations, fears, contributions"" will allow the participants to talk about their concerns regarding this project, their fears about the various activities of the project, the expectations of the participants will be analyzed in this regard to the educational results of the project. The facilitator will ask each participant to define its fears and expectations at a group moment, they will be asked to define their uncertainties anonymously. The purpose of the activity will be to pass the participants from mere users to active participants, interested in the themes and educational purposes of the project. Certainly the heart of the project begins with the composition of the Learning buddies and family groups; The vision of the Mockumentary will allows us to enter the topic of information manipulation and the importance of the conscious use of the media. The fake documentary will deal with the myths about stereotypes on Muslims, Jews and immigrants, presenting everything as verified and manipulative news. Here will begin the guided discussion activities among those present. Immediately afterwards the perspectives on facts and myths begin; dividing the participant into stabilized tasks of the answers to the questions proposed by the facilitators into 7 groups. Among these myths we will talk about media, politics and various forms of discussion. The discussion will be reduced to 5 points before defining the basic knowledge needed by an interlocutor when it comes to deal with media. The project also includes a lab/visits for cultural and cognitive purposes, such as visits to the old part of Ragusa and moments of relationship and cultural exchange. With this in mind, the ""City game of Ragusa"" activity is aimed at allowing participants to discover the beauties of the capital of the iblei. Remember that each activity includes moments of final analysis and guided re-proposal to the participants, which will gradually allow them to establish a communicative growth and to define more contact among the participants. In the following days of the project a guided tour is inserted to a reception center for migrants, where participants will be shown the vicissitudes and dangers that migrants face in their Mediterranean journey, as well as obviously showing the discrepancies between media coverage of the phenomenon and data and entries real and verified of the phenomenon. Through the technique of the Living Library the most complex part will be touched; that is the emotional relationship of the participants with the direct suffering of a migrant, this will serve us to feed the debate and to ask those present about the relationship of the media in terms of political choices on immigration and human rights. The following day, a moment of analysis will help us pass to the dynamics of the ""seven veils""; or a guided exercise of reaction to discrimination. The dynamics will allow us to make participants understand what it means for a young person to be discriminated . The activity aims to give those present a series of practical tools, arguments and information aimed at fighting a process of marginalization and discrimination in the bud. In the last few days, other dynamics will be addressed, such as the ""mechanisms of oppression"" and ""four quadrants"", which will introduce us to the point of view of a young man at risk of radicalization. This cognitive process on discrimination will end with the final activities aimed at ""healing"" the wounds of hate speech by implementing activities such as; ""strategies to break the mechanisms"", ""letter to a person I have discriminated against"", three things I would do again and three things I would not do "". These will allow us to close the circle on the goal of making the participants aware and able to distinguish the messages distorted by true information. After that will follow the explanation of the follo- up activities and the moments of delivery of the youth passes, and the final greetings.<< Impact >>The project aims to give participants tools, information, and media skills, news on hate speech, propaganda, myths about ethnic, racial and religious discrimination, human rights and minority defense. The package of perviste activities allows participants to start in non-formal education and peer education. The primary objective of the project is to understand the role of youth workers in the field of information, and to understand and improve the ability of young people to discern false news from true information, avoiding that these give rise to discrimination phenomena. The project will mainly focus on the category of refugees and migrants, with the related religious and racial problems that often accompany the discourse on the phenomenon. Participants will be guided by non-formal education methods that will allow them to understand how manipulated news leads to, more or less direct, forms of discrimination. The expected impact regards, first of all, the organizations themselves, which will have the opportunity to try their hand at a formative moment, where they will be able to know even better the possibilities of the Erasmus + and SVE program. The organizations will test their organizational and managerial skills in contributing to the implementation of the project. Another significant result is to build lasting and profitable partnerships and forms of informal contact also for the future, especially in order to implement projects concerning these issues, to establish forms of friendship and operational solidarity and to strengthen contact between members of increasingly diversified and efficient partnerships , in achieving the Erasmus + objectives. The training activities will put the associations in a position to create, in the countries of origin, opportunities and moments aimed at involving young people on the problems of discrimination, racism, defense of minorities and active citizenship on political and media issues. This will allow the group leaders to improve their knowledge on the topics covered, allowing them to raise awareness among young people. By becoming aware of new methods and information on the fight against fake news and discrimination for second or third generation foreign citizens, organizations will be able to activate networks and implement projects capable of creating effective dissemination processes. The impact on participants aims to provide ""soft skills"" concerning the exaltation of feelings of altruism, pluralism, intercultural and interreligious dialogue and on the founding values of the United Europe. These abilities aim to make the participants more active and more aware in order to make them more inclined to make themselves available to activities aimed at positively influencing society, fighting hate speech and racism. SAHS intends to provide the less experienced participants with elements of understanding of the media and the migratory phenomenon of the Mediterranean trafficking, as well as promoting Youth working projects on project themes, often treated in a way that is not very responsible by traditional and non-traditional media. The activities will allow the Youth Workers to expand their baggage in terms of tools, dynamics, project types and training of young people. The expected local impact aims to give visibility in frontier territories, such as those of partner countries, to projects on social issues and to make known to new associations new methods and solutions. The aim is to spread the European implementation and design methodologies and to make known the activities and the application methods of the Erasmus + program, providing a concrete example to the local third sector realities,in each country represented in the partnership. SAHS wants to make local media aware of a correct and responsible use of the media and a more constructive reading of immigration and its complications. The aim is to provide the various local plans with a moment of encounter and contact between different locations on the continent in order to ideally bring them closer together, strengthening the role and visibility of associations through the benefits of volunteering, while promoting intra-European knowledge of the associations involved. At European and international level, with the help of the other partner organizations of the project, the impact that the project will have at the local and national level will be extended to the communities of belonging, through the network of participating partners that will be created at the end of project. This will happen in order to allow the debate around the participation of young people in society and the fight against extremist ideologies throughout Europe, this will be possible through the organization in the countries of workshops, meetings, articles, online information material, connected to the project; so as to further strengthen the impact and dissemination."

<< Objectives >>Creemos en el poder de las nuevas generaciones de crear sociedades más sostenibles, más inclusivas, más tolerantes, y creemos que el mundo de la educación y del trabajo juvenil en general tiene un potencial igual de grande en impulsar, promover, apoyar y velar para que estos cambios pasen. Con el potencial viene una responsabilidad: trabajar temáticas globales y siempre cambiantes de forma inclusiva y con un contenido de calidad, manteniendo la motivación y el interés en los participantes.Nuestra comunidad sufre las consecuencias de tensiones sociales cada vez más altas, donde la diversidad cultural no se termina de apreciar como una riqueza, sino que se ve como un peligro, y las desigualdades ya existentes van empeorando. Algunos sectores de nuestras poblaciones han explotado el COVID-19 para atacar a las minorías que ya están sujetas a niveles espantosos de discriminación y crímenes de odio. La rápida propagación de la desinformación corre el riesgo de socavar la confianza en las medidas e instituciones esenciales para contener el virus. Las mujeres han asumido una parte desproporcionada de las responsabilidades de cuidado de otras personas debido al cierre de escuelas y servicios de apoyo...”. Es un gran desafío lo que nos plantea el presente, que se vuelve más complicado por las consecuencias psicológicas de la pandemia y del distanciamiento social, pero no es imposible abordarlo.En los últimos 5 años nos centramos en investigar, adaptar y probar elementos de la Cultura Pop como fuente de aprendizaje dentro de la ENF y la ed. global, sin por ello parar de trabajar en el concepto de racismo invisible: con este proyecto queríamos compartir este proceso con trabajadores juveniles, centrándonos en el concepto de interseccionalidad (K.W. Crenshaw, 1989) y su valor dentro de las actividades de participación juvenil.. Este concepto ofrece un buen marco de análisis para personas que quieran entender el presente y quieran participar en la sociedad, ya que es necesario entender las repercusiones que diferentes tipos de discriminaciones tienen en nuestra existencia y en las de los demás. Aprender a ubicarse en el mundo, entendiendo su complejidad, es un buen punto de partida para aprender a comunicarse con personas diferentes y a entender la riqueza de la diversidad humana. El conocimiento que queríamos desarrollar representa un recurso para cambiar actitudes racistas y discriminatorias, un abanico de herramientas, una fuente de empoderamiento para profesionales y un espacio para reconocer sus propios privilegios y aprender a utilizarlos para apoyar a los/as demás. Creíamos que estas herramientas podrían ayudar a remodelar nuestras actividades, fomentando el debate y el crecimiento dentro de las generaciones más jóvenes, siendo al mismo tiempo cautivadoras y divertidas.Con esta formación queríamos alcanzar los siguientes objetivos: - definir el concepto de interseccionalidad y las diferentes formas de trabajarlo a través de la metodología de la educación no formal; - dar visibilidad a las conexiones entre diferentes luchas sociales y las consecuencias de las mismas en nuestras sociedades; - dar una visión general respecto a la cultura POP y analizar el potencial de los elementos que la componen como herramientas educativas versátiles y eficaces; - introducir perspectivas interseccionales en el trabajo juvenil, capacitando a profesionales para que puedan trabajar el tema a nivel transversal, durante sus actividades; - generar enfoques y metodologías accesibles a los jóvenes, centrados en los procesos de aprendizaje y acción sobre el tema de la interseccionalidad utilizando la cultura popular;<< Implementation >>El curso de formación Connect the dots fue un curso que tuvo lugar del 28 de marzo al 3 de abril de 2023. Dichas jornadas constaron de 2 días de viaje y 5 días de actividades. Al curso asistieron 27 participantes. Cada socio envió a 2 participantes a la formación. Los países participantes fueron: Polonia, Macedonia, Italia, Portugal, Grecia, Lituania, Eslovenia, Países Bajos, Rumanía, Hungría y España. Entre los y las participantes había: profesores, trabajadores y trabajadoras juveniles, empleados y empleadas de las organizaciones de envío. El abanico de edades era amplio: la participante más joven tenía poco más de 20 años y la de más edad, cerca de 50.<< Results >>Teniendo en cuenta el cumplimiento de los objetivos fijados, el equipo ha conseguido definir el concepto de interseccionalidad de una manera asequible para los participantes. Hemos trabajado esta definición desde dos perspectivas. A nivel etimológico, hemos conseguido que todas las personas participantes tengan un buen entendimiento del concepto. Además, hemos trabajado el concepto mediante actividades colaborativas para que los y las participantes lo entiendan teniendo en cuenta los matices de sus propios países. Al final del proyecto, fueron capaces de explicar qué significa la interseccionalidad en general y en sus países, dando ejemplos claros y concretos. En cuanto a la definición de la cultura POP, hemos conseguido marcar las sutiles diferencias entre subcultura, cultura de masas y la misma. Además, los y las participantes usaron la cultura POP para crear actividades de educación no formal que tienen como meta introducir temas actuales que tienen que ver con la interseccionalidad. Como resultado tangible, estas actividades quedaron registradas en un documento en GoogleDocs.Gracias al background y la edad de las y los participantes, las herramientas creadas para trabajar con jóvenes son muy diversas y fáciles de entender para trabajadores de juventud de cualquier edad. A nivel de networking, este proyecto ha servido para generar ideas para futuros training courses e intercambio de jóvenes.El impacto del proyecto se verá reflejado a nivel organizacional, ya que todos los participantes pueden usar las actividades creadas en las organizaciones de envío. Además, la presencia de personas que trabajan tanto en la educación formal como la no formal supone una mayor visibilidad para la interseccionalidad en entornos donde normalmente no llegaría este concepto.

"""Civic Involved Alliance of Organizations - CIAO"" Civic Involved Alliance of Organization (CIAO) is a network project to be held in Modica from 10 to 16 October 2018 and will be attended by 32 participants coming from 15 countries and representing three continents and different regions, involving organizations from Italy, Greece, Hungary, Estonia, Spain, Romania, Sweden, Bulgaria, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Tunisia, Lebanon and Jordan). The central topic of the project concerns the ability of youth organizations to be involved in the fight against radicalization and discrimination. Therefore, in order to effectively combat the phenomena described, the organizations involved should create an alliance that makes available to all the organizations, best practices and methods that have been developed by each partner over the years. For this reason, we have used the acronym ""CIAO"", which on the one hand reflects the nature of this alliance and on the other side CIAO is the Italian word best known abroad that at the same time, expresses a feeling of welcome, unity and brotherhood. The project aims to create stable partnerships between the organizations involved, in order to support local projects and activities that counter the social exclusion of young people in society, their limited participation and prevent their radicalization towards jihadist or racist and xenophobic ideologies. At the same time, the project is aimed at developing alliances between youth organizations and the community to which they belong, a follow-up phase being envisaged which will include at least 30 young people, following the planned activity in Italy. The aim is to make every single organization, an institution capable of influencing society and making young people who are often the subject of social exclusion ""critical mass"". Because of social marginality, the greatest risk for young people is profiled in the form of radicalization, especially for young people. In recent years, the phenomenon has returned to the spotlight with the explosion of the jihadist galaxy and growing of the extreme right and xenophobic (white suprematism, neo-fascists and neo-Nazis). The report ""Preventing the radicalization of children by fighting the root causes & quot; of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, shows that ""young people"", including many children, sensitive to the ideological discourse and the apparent ""social purpose"" offered to them by radical Islamist organizations, are attracted by extremist movements involved in violent conflict, for example in Syria and Iraq, and the implementation of terrorist acts, including in Europe, invoking the role of NGOs and other civil society organizations as a remedy, encouraging the active participation of young people radicalization or already radicalized. Therefore, the goal of CIAO is to allow the organizations involved to improve their ability to have a greater impact on the society where they work, meeting to discuss the phenomena of participation (or non participation) of young people, the risk of young people's political or religious radicalism, the importance of caring for one's community through international projects that can be effective, inclusive and quality. Great importance will be given to the possibility of producing other initiatives in the context of Erasmus Plus, with the aim of exploiting the methodologies that emerged from this project also in other project areas. The project will involve the partner organizations, not only during the dates scheduled for the Contact Making activity, but also during the follow-up phase: taking advantage of the acquired technical methods and knowledge, the youth workers with the help of their organization, they will be able to experience what they have learned and become a point of reference for young people in the local community, such as the new methods of peer education, stimulating the curiosity of their communities of belonging. The objectives of the project will be achieved through creative workshops, simulations, peer education workshops, discussions on participation and group activities that allow young people and operators to encourage participation in the social life of their community. The methodology that will be applied will be largely non-formal, especially linked to ""learning by doing"" and group activities that will be used by the participants to work in contact with different cultural backgrounds."

Context:According to the statement by the Council of Europe Anti-Racism Commission on the current humanitarian crisis in the Mediterranean (http://www.coe.int/t/dghl/monitoring/ecri/Library/PressReleases/195-9_06_2015), Strasbourg,19.06.2015,’ ’there is a deep concern at the current humanitarian crisis in the Mediterranean region regarding thousands of people risking their lives, and being exploited by human traffickers, trying to escape various tragic situations in their home countries.” This situation has led to a xenophobic tendency since migration has been part of the common experience of all our countries; thus, European values have been greatly influenced by this. As a consequence, youth work must show solidarity with these vulnerable groups and to accommodate their needs in an urgent matter.
