    The tool - Comics, which we used on our project is an impressive and useful tool for self expression, it combines literature and visual arts and for this reason is an effective, powerful, influential and impressive storytelling among all kinds of literary creations. This combination awards to Comics the possibility to be so fascinating and loved for a huge number of people. The target audience of comics is not limited and a lot of people like it. This short, easy, and simple drawing story is most effective and influential for different people in different age and social position. The humor presented in comics makes a story simple for perceive and memorize. Also, anyone can portray own story online or by their own just with some drawing skills. furthermore, to draw and create comics is a funny, fascinating and exciting activity for a huge number of people. We experienced what we believed that comics can be very effective tool to show own attitude, own opinion, a position about things to influence to people and consequently generally to the society.The aim of our Youth Exchange was to combat youth marginalization and discrimination through creating the comics, using it as a tool to express our own views publicly in a creative way and encourage young people for more inclusion and participation in civic life.Our Participants implemented their thoughts, opinions, attitudes, expressions and sayings into their comics and this way reached to a very vast society. Their main direction was combating the existence of youth marginalization and exclusion. Everything they put into their comics were real and coming from their own experience. The objectives of were: - to provide youngsters from rural areas with opportunities for involvement in the international and intercultural environment - to equip them with skills, knowledge, and techniques of creating comics - to improve their basic competencies in comics plot development and make them understand how to use comics as a tool of self-expression - to create the comics frames about the problematic social issues of young people in rural areas - to support youth’s initiatives in the field of Erasmus+ concentrating on active youth participation - to support the development of future Erasmus + projects with full involvement of youth Our Youth exchange took place during 7 - 17 October 2019, in Bakuriani, Georgia and there were involved 42 participants from 6 countries.During the project, different workshops and activities will help participants to rise up their skills of leadership, tolerance, self-awareness, and self-expression.We used different kind of non-formal education methods: games and icebreakers, warm-ups, simulations and interactive role-playing games, demonstrations, discussions, work in pairs, small group discussion, presentation, peer learning, drawing, team-building activities, workshops, forum theater, intercultural and other parties, daily evaluations and etc. We created a digital comics book with the comics which were drawn by our participants on the youth exchange.

    The Earth and the environment call for help but not enough people take it seriously. Nowadays not only European countries but countries all over the world are facing many global challenges and environmental issues. This is the period of overproduction and overconsumption which has a great negative effect on our environment such as climate change and pollution, which negatively affects the quality of life. According to European Commission information, Europeans are currently using 16 tonnes of material per person per year and 6 tonnes of this amount becomes waste. Despite the fact that the waste management is improving in EU, Europe still loses a lot of potential secondary raw materials that could be recycled and used again. In 2010, the total amount of waste produced in EU was 2,5 billion tons and just 36% were recycled and reused. In spite of the fact, that most of the waste is recyclable, substantial amount is sent to landfills, which results in methane emissions and thus are contributors to climate change (source: Eurostat). Apart from landfills, significant amount of waste ends up in the oceans and islands of waste are created. One of the most serious problems of modern society is waste pollution that negatively affects quality of people´s lives. Young people are becoming more aware of the need for environmental protection but usually they do not know how to transfer it to their everyday life. In our opinion the most of what we can do in favor of environment is to live consciously and green in our communities, in our household. For this reason the 9 day long exchange - in which 30 young people aged 18-30 + 1 leaders from country from Estonia, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Romania and Croatia take part - aims to show the youngsters what is their ecological footprint and how big is it, that with the lifestyle they live how big part of the planet is needed to provide them with food, energy, fuel, etc. Further aim is to make them realize that everybody can do something to protect the environment, to slow down the climate change. We will calculate their impact then they can discover during the activities what they can do to help our earth, to reduce their footprint. By encouraging them to do so, we would like to make them active citizens. The program is a combination of different activities which are connected to the questions of the ecological footprint quiz and in such way they touch 5 topics: housing, meal, transport, shopping, waste. During these activities young people can gain new experiences, acquire new skills, then make new friendships, contact and have an impact on local people and get to know each other’s culture. A lot of different non-formal learning methods will be applied: games, workshops, outdoor activities, group work, debate, role-plays, round-table and brainstorming. We paid attention to provide them many possibilities not only to discuss the topic but also to learn a lot of things by doing. We want to raise awareness with all the young participants of the project about the environmental protection, ecological footprint that is why a short film will be made at the end of the exchange to call upon the people to live green, save our planet. The film will be presented on the local activity, but there will also be a leaflet edited about the comparison of the ecological footprint calculation's results of the participants/countries & the participants' ideas about how to reduce their footprint and posters made by the participants which will be spread and exhibited on the local activity as well. Other Objectives of the project are: - to raise awareness about environmental problems; - to encourage and motivate young people to become active citizens in their society; - to improve participants´ media and promotion skills to be able to have impact on wider community and to share project results on international level; - to promote Erasmus + opportunities, intercultural cooperation and non-formal education; - to enable participants to work in intercultural environment to discover new cultures and countries and hence increase tolerance and acceptance of diversity; - to improve participant´s ability to work in a group and to cooperate. - to create practical results to reduce mankind's irresponsible environmental facts in an international environment to see the things from big picture and spread the awareness, - Kicking off local, regional and international positive effect area by social campaigns regarding environmental facts such as recycling, food-waste, sustainable way of living, green energies, conscious consumption, composting etc.- to encourage European NGOs to take an action and lead environmental positive vibes that will make change in their community,Here is the available link for monitoring the pictures and videos during implementation: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yfiPOP7CZfmp7ej2QI7rXOKboZydoJVE

    "<< Objectives >>In the youth exchange project titled ""The Visual Storytelling of Replacing 'I' With 'We'"", which took place in Istanbul between June 23 - July 01, 2022, we aimed to increase the awareness of young people on ""social inclusion"" problems and to provide our young participants with media use competences with the ""visual storytelling"" tool. . Throughout our project, we used different methods such as photography, video and collage, which are visual storytelling tools, in order to improve non-formal education methods, especially the processes of knowledge about social inclusion. At the end of our project, our participants contributed to this field with some concrete suggestions and creative visual outputs that will help in social inclusion.Our youth exchange project titled A Visual Story About “WE” Not “I”, Turkey (InslusYouth), Italy (ORIEL ETS), Romania (ASOCIATIA TINERII 3 D), Bulgaria (TI MOZHESH LI), Greece (Youth Empowerment Center) and Germany (KULTUR & ART INITIATIVE EV) brought together 38 young people in Istanbul.As a result of our needs assessments, such as problems related to social inclusion, lack of awareness of social inclusion among young people, insufficient involvement of young people in decision-making processes related to social inclusion, and the use of visual storytelling tool in the field of social inclusion is not being evaluated, visual storytelling has been covered in order to produce solutions to problems related to social inclusion. Different communication methods are used. We can define our aims of realizing the project, primarily based on which needs it addresses, as follows:Needs:• Problems related to social inclusion• Discourses that marginalize rather than include cultural diversity• Problems faced by refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants• Judgments that hinder social inclusion• Lack of awareness of social inclusion among young people• Inadequacy of social adaptation studies• Young people are not sufficiently involved in decision-making processes in the field of social inclusion.• Lack of resources supporting the field of social inclusion• Inadequacy of activities on social inclusion• Language communication barrier in activities carried out to raise awareness in the field of social inclusion• Failure to evaluate the use of visual storytelling tool in the field of social inclusion.Purposes:• To bring solutions to the problems related to social inclusion• Producing discourses that increase intercultural awareness• Developing solutions to the problems faced by refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants• Reducing prejudices about social inclusion• Young people come together to identify problems in the field of social inclusion and support the development of solutions.• Creating resources to support social inclusion• To produce activities in the field of social inclusion• Using alternative communication methods to overcome the language barrier in the social inclusion process (eg visual storytelling, discourse naratology)• Using the ""visual storytelling"" tool to solve problems in the field of social inclusionThe reason why we chose visual storytelling as a tool in our project; is the potential for visual storytelling to be used in youth work as a tool that young people use to tell and express their stories. During our visual storytelling tool project, by helping young people tell their own stories by using their imagination and creativity, it contributed to the development of young people's ability to express themselves and to learn about current issues. During our project, young people addressed social problems through visual stories and took steps to bring these problems to a wider audience. This has contributed to raising social awareness of young people and promoting social change.<< Implementation >>Our youth exchange project titled ""The Visual Storytelling of Replacing 'I' With 'We'"" brought together 38 young people in Istanbul from Turkey (InslusYouth), Italy (ORIEL ETS), Romania (ASOCIATIA TINERII 3 D), Bulgaria (TI MOZHESH LI), Greece (Youth Empowerment Center) and Germany (KULTUR & ART INITIATIVE EV). Our participant profile is primarily young people between the ages of 18-30 who are volunteers in our partner organizations and/or who want to work on social inclusion and/or suffer from this situation. Adopting the inclusive attitude of the Erasmus+ program, our participants did not expected advanced English. This is because our project also aimed to provide a space for our participants to improve their English. Only the group leaders were required to have an advanced level of English in order to avoid situations that may arise due to a possible emergency or communication. In addition, considering the inclusive attitude of the program and the subject of our project, we also included participants with certain opportunity constraints in our project. These limitations can be listed as follows:• Cultural differences• Economic obstacles• Social obstacles• Geographical obstacles• RefugeesWe aimed to reduce and eliminate the opportunity constraints by including young people with fewer opportunities in our project. It was among our primary priorities to reduce and, as much as possible, eliminate the limitations of the culturally and socially disadvantaged youth in our project. Since our project topic was social inclusion, it was among our priorities that the participants be individuals in the social inclusion process and the individuals • Refugees who are limited to living their own culture in a different culture• Individuals with economic limitations• Minority of innate or acquired social identities such as gender, religion, language, race, ethnicityWe also would like to mention our project activities; In our youth exchange project, which we realized by using the visual storytelling tool and non-formal education methods for the theme of social inclusion; activities were carried out to meet the needs such as problems related to social inclusion, discourses that marginalize rather than include cultural diversity, problems experienced by refugees, judgments that hinder social inclusion, and insufficient awareness of social inclusion among young people. Our flow in these activities, in which the concepts of social inclusion processes are defined and discussions take place, has progressed in a way that completes the knowledge-skill-practice triangle. During the realization of all these, it is aimed to gain 8 basic competences in Youthpass by including the stages such as getting to know each other, creating a dynamic, introducing the Erasmus+ program, creating new partnership and project ideas.In order to make our knowledge-skill-implementation activity flow efficient, attention has been paid to the following elements:• Definitions on social inclusion, which was our theme, and activities where information is shared• Studies on visual storytelling, which was the tool to be used to transform shared and discussed information into skills.• Applications where knowledge about social inclusion was transformed into a skill with the use of visual storytelling tool• Post-skill applications and application outputsIn this context, we gave importance to the construction of our activities that took place during the project on the basis of experiential learning theory:• Participant-oriented events• Group work• Mobilizers• Ice breakers• Discussion groups• SimulationsWe carried out a learning process that included interactive studies by revealing both observation and information exchange. Our activities have been designed and carried out in a way that will increase the knowledge, skills and learning outcomes of all participants in our project. Activities aimed at developing knowledge, skills and approaches that will have a long-term impact, such as social inclusion and inclusion, intercultural learning, self-confidence and mutual understanding, creativity and self-knowledge, were carried out among our participants. Throughout our project, it is aimed for the participants to discover their own learning methods and both their individual and European identities through different methods such as individual and group work.<< Results >>The reason why we needed and acted on the youth exchange project is; violence increased rapidly as the internal turmoil that started in Syria in 2011 turned into war, and as of 2018, 119,200 civilians and 185,980 conflict-related casualties were recorded. In addition, 1.5 million people were exposed to obstacles due to the effect of the war, at least 6.1 million Syrians were displaced from their homes and 5.6 million people had to leave the country. Turkey is one of the countries that open its doors and support Syrians.According to the current data published by the Refugee Association, the number of registered Syrians in Turkey is 3,571,030 people as of December 25, 2019. The basic needs of these people, such as health, accommodation, education, are met with the support of the state and through various associations, and it is necessary to develop solutions to social inclusion problems as young people. The main social inclusion problems in Turkey can be listed as; communication, conflict management, lack of intercultural learning, cultural shock and cultural diversity. Within the scope of our project, we aimed to support the issue of social inclusion, which is among the priorities of the Erasmus+ Program, by producing solutions using the visual storytelling tool and raising awareness.With the relations established in the project, our participants had the opportunity to get to know the partner organizations, and an environment was provided for them to produce future project ideas with the new relations developed. A sustainable knowledge about each other and the subject was created in the participants with informative presentations for partner organizations to introduce themselves and presentations on Erasmus+. Thanks to our tool, visual storytelling, all visual outputs such as photographs, videos and collages continued to be shared after the project through our social media accounts opened during the project. By creating a group spirit, encouraging and motivating the participants and participating organizations to promote and promote our project individually and organizationally, our project was not only limited to local impact, but also gained visibility at national and international scales and expanded its sphere of influence. With our project, awareness of social inclusion, which is our subject, and paving the way for the formation of new partnerships through solidarity, cooperation and understanding among the participants, has been increased. Since our partners are already working in the field of social inclusion, our project also served as a tool for them to get to know each other.Our project activities have also been shared on our project's Instagram page and its visibility has been increased: https://www.instagram.com/inclusyouth/In addition, the effects of our project on our participating organizations resulted in:• It was ensured that the partners working in the field of social inclusion got to know each other• Increased visibility of partners working in the field of social inclusion• An environment was provided for the participants to create new project ideas in a common area• It was ensured that individuals who did not volunteer in the organization they represent got to know the organization and so that they can be motivated to be a volunteer as wellIn addition, we can list the impacts of our project according to scale can be listed as follows:Impacts at local level:• Steps have been taken to solve the problems of social inclusion in Istanbul and to contribute as much as possible to the gathering of young people• In addition to the metropolitan's problems, increasing awareness of the problems that make the lives of refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants more difficult in Istanbul.• Preventing the judgments and stereotypes that hinder social inclusion in the local area of Istanbul by breaking them• Enabling young people to internalize an inclusive approach through dissemination efforts against the inadequacy of awareness of social inclusion among young people in metropolitan life, where individuals are increasingly estranged from each otherImpacts at the national level:• Raising awareness of young people through sharing supported with visual content that will create an inclusive and national effect against discourses that marginalize rather than include cultural diversity• Raising awareness through national channels and social media in order to break the judgments that hinder social inclusion across the country• Preventing the obstacles caused by young people's insufficient involvement in decision-making processes in the field of social inclusionImpacts at international level:• Raising awareness on our theme with a visual language by overcoming the language communication barrier in the activities carried out to raise awareness in the field of social inclusion• Evaluating and revealing the use of the visual storytelling tool in the field of social inclusion"

    The Council of Europe defines that gender equality means identical level of responsibility, visibility, autonomy and participation of both sexes in all the public and private spheres of life. Sexual and gender-based violence is defined as the violence applied against a person because of his/her gender or sex, including sexual abuse and harassment, rape, domestic violence, etc. Although everybody could be equally affected, women are the prime victims of this type of violence. In times of globalization, we are more interdependent to these extraordinary but dangerous tools called internet and social media. The easy accessibility to them nowadays comes associated to a non-controlled ambiance where a wide diversity of people can enter and share a huge range of opinions and ideologies. It is in this context where the hate phenomena raise as a result of different ways to understand life and, with this line of thoughts, the hurtful cyber violence appears as well. As reported by the EIGE, 1 out of 10 women in Europe have suffered some type of cyber violence.Talking about discrimination based on sexual orientation, a lot of people from LGBTIQ+ communities all around Europe cannot even expose or express themselves because they often suffer violent attacks. It was reported by the EU LGBT survey that 47 % of people from this community have felt discriminated or harassed because of their sexual orientation in the previous year. Migrant women face challenges as both migrants and women, suffering a double disadvantage. In the case of conjugal violence, women tend to be more reluctant to denounce her partner when her legal residence status is dependent on him. In addition, often conjugal violence is not treated as a critical case by the authorities, as they could be attributed to cultural differences. We all are regularly exposed to everyday sexism without being aware of it. We are extremely used to these situations or set phrases that are simply seen as social constructs that we usually acknowledge as being normal. The headlines in the media are often condemning the crimes that end up with a dead body. Nevertheless, they do not analyse the base of this phenomena, established over a society that see everyday sexism as “normal”.Research carried out by Foundation of Knowledge (FK, Hungary), Permacultura Cantabria (PC, Spain), Olemisen Balanssia ry (OB, Finland) and Oriel (Italy), in which alarming figures were found regarding gender inequalities in their counties, has motivated to create a Strategic Partnership and to give life to the project “AMORE: Adults´ MicrOmachismo ReEducation”. Its purpose is to face everyday sexism of those who suffer the most (adult women, adult people of the LGTBIQ+ community and women with an immigrant background) in various media, especially in the digital world.The goals of this project are to build awareness and to empower adult people to start recognizing everyday sexism and to prevent it. Participants will gain information, abilities and tools to notice everyday sexist situations and they are going to learn how to change them.AMORE is directed towards 4 adult trainers from each of the 4 organizations, who will transmit through internal workshops the knowledge and tools acquired to the adult learners in their organizations and communities. Each participant organization will also count with a project coordinator and a dissemination manager. The project will consist of:Participatory Visit to Hungary: FK will transfer its best practices (BP) for the recognition, prevention and confrontation of everyday sexism in adult women, as well as tools to prevent gender-based violence and social problems based on prejudices and stereotypes. OB will transfer its tools and BP related to everyday sexism towards immigrant women, people from the LGTBIQ + community and adult women in general. Oriel will transfer its tools and BP regarding everyday sexism in the media, with a special focus on the internet and social networks. They will also transfer inclusive and non-violent communication tools in social networks.The course organized by PC will compile all the knowledge obtained during the project and will incorporate the BP and tools gathered in the participatory visit. The aim of this course is that the adult trainers of the participating organizations would be able to reproduce it within their adult learners, empowering them with helpful tools to face sexist practices.To summarize the expected impact, we strongly believe that the participants will improve their perception about everyday sexism, and will have a good collection of methods to empower adult learners to confront everyday sexism practices in different contexts and communities. We expect to promote the inclusion of adult people from the LGBTIQ+ communities and immigrant backgrounds pursuing real conditions of equality among adults, with a special emphasis on combating everyday sexism in the media.
