In this way this project tries to give a step towards the achievement of the emblematic initiative ""Youth on The Move"" under the Europe 2020 Strategy. As you can see by the topic of the project, the needs we are seeking to address are of those of NEETS (youth out of the labour or education/training contexts). We intend to satisfy such needs by supporting youngsters in the acquisition of competences in the areas of entrepreneurship, new techniques to better take advantage of their learning paths, improve their self esteem, capacity to adapt their training to the labour needs and improve their abilities in what respects the achievement of a job and ultimately their personal and professional development. The project “UN-EMPLOYMENT+” is meant to be a bilateral youth exchange. This project will allow 40 youngsters from Portugal and Italy to meet and live for 10 days in Azores, Portugal in order to achieve measurable and tangible results so to improve employment for youth. The project aims to guide, train and encourage young people in career decision-making in the field they choose to assert. During this project, the participants will take part of a work programme, which activities are in line with the methods used in informal and non-formal education, where in different occasions and situations youngsters will be invited to take part and to be the prosecutors of the objectives set above. For such, we will offer participants with a mixture of activities such as workshops, getting to know each other games, outdoor activities, cultural and linguistic exercises, debates, simulations, role play in different professional scenarios, including companies and institutions, in order to have a practical experience and further knowledge of different professional paths. We think such mixture of activities will help participants to be more conscious about youth unemployment and more important of all to know how to take action to improve their own situation, discover new cultures and nationalities by working in multinational teams and above all to strengthen the values of solidarity, democracy and friendship, which we think are vital for the European Project. Together we will explore the impact and importance of choosing future careers, by involving the young participants in long-term development of the community and therefore open their horizons for different professional and educational opportunities. Besides that, we want to present to the participants the current context of labor market in Europe and by the compared analysis of the different systems we will try by the sharing of best practices between both countries to incorporate in each of the participating countries the best examples of each one of them.As stated above the main impact we wish to deliver is to improve the young people’s starting point, what means they will have to do an analysis of their current situation in what regards employment and education/training paths.Together with the facilitators of the project we will identify weak points they wish to address. In order to achieve such ambitious results we intend that the youngsters own experience and opinions to be translated into tools to be applied in the political scene at European level. In order to do that we intend to create a reference manual as an electronic guideline at the end of the project, which will include the solutions presented by the participants during the project about building a career, their personal experiences in employment derived from their practical experience in different professional paths during the project, how to create a Europass CV and the other transparency and certification tools provided by the European Union. This will enable to take into account the acquired skills and talent gained by the youngsters. This manual will take fully into account the participants expectations and therefore will be addressed to their specific necessities. This will be served as a final product and distributed online so as to serve as a guidance to the general youth population. To reinforce this tool we also intend to create a european wide community - a social online network, counting at least 300 young people from all over Europe who are interested in career development. This will happen In order to facilitate communication, interaction in sharing ideas of common interest, experiences and information. Besides that, is we also will Promote Erasmus+ Program and create a context for the development of new partnerships between participating organizations."

Research confirms that these are the 21st century skills needed at work that are currently not consciously developed in schools or by parents. At a time when the world is becoming more open and jobs are mobile and international, young people need to not only be able to communicate with peers and adults, but also to consider the specificities of international communication and collaboration. Young people today have more opportunities in the labour market, but also more communication difficulties to overcome. We are designing the project so as to provide the most relevant and universal skills to help people understand, manage and solve a variety of communication situations. The design of the material is innovative, based on the latest knowledge of the functioning of individuals and groups. It incorporates many elements of neuroscience and relies on the involvement of young people in both content creation and implementation. We aim to create tools (educational films, activity descriptions, group work, games, elective modules for schools, and classroom lesson materials, including lesson plans) to develop young people's communication and problem-solving skills. Essentially, we will create materials for youth workers and teachers to develop communication and collaboration skills among young people through informal learning. In the design of the study materials emphasis is put on situation analysis, discussion, role playing, group work, practical tasks, critical analysis of information and situations, etc. The project is cross-sectoral and international - we want to involve and bring together youth workers and education specialists from Estonia and Italy. The main output of the project will be written materials for youth workers and teachers and educational films (10) to improve communication and cooperation skills among young people. The activities include cooperation with young people and production of educational films, as well as learning mobility for youth workers. The target groups of the project are the youth workers and teachers who are working with primarily high school students, but also more broadly young people aged 14-19. At this age, young people are already thinking about future choices and making important decisions both in terms of further education and entry into the labour market. They have a broad social network and complex communication situations with many people.Project lasts 2 years, from February 2021 to January 2023.

The project successfully fulfilled its goal to have the participants overcome their disadvantages and gain learning and intercultural experiences of a lifetime as volunteers by the support of the EVS program. They enriched from such voluntary activities like communal creation of wall paintings in kindergartens of Szeged and in elderly houses. Activities were supplemented with presentations and additional craft activities related to their own culture and folk music. The content of the communal work went far beyond of a simply aesthetical work, either the volunteers, the involved target group and the partner organizations could actively experience an open and receptive attitude in an intercultural environment. During the 2 months, the volunteers made their learning experiences conscious and real, participated in language clubs, got to know cities of Hungary and other neighbouring countries, and during this period they were surrounded by safe environment with the help of professional mentors being able to speak their mother tongue.

Being different from mainstream societies, many are being excluded and marginalized. This is why 13 non-profit organizations led by JUB and APY have developed “Managing Diversity” - a long term project working with youth workers, youth trainers and educators, trying to develop their diversity management skills and support them in learning how to implement a culture of diversity in their working environments. The project targeted specifically those youth workers and educators who are eager to professionally work against structural discrimination and under-representation of marginalized groups. 26 youth workers from 13 countries joined this multi-layer project in August 2017 in the Netherlands. The group has undergone a series of trainings and capacity building workshops in the Netherlands which were followed by implementation of small local projects back in home countries of the participants. Following the Introductory Training in the Netherlands in August, participants have implemented 19 community projects back to their countries during September and, finally, traveled to Armenia in the end of October to present the impact of their projects and their learning achievements. For about 2 month between August and October, participants have developed and executed 19 local projects reaching about 500 young people in 13 countries ranging from East to West of Europe. The local projects have worked and empowered young refugees, LGBTQI people, Roma youth, youth with disabilities and many other vulnerable and marginalized youth. Through different types of projects our participants have worked on very sensitive topics. The activities ranged from an improvisational theater involving Roma youth in Romania and Human Library in Macedonia to career orientation courses for youth with disabilities in Armenia; from a surfing workshop for people with disabilities and a multicultural football tournament in Portugal to a Forum Theatre with refugees in Germany. Many of the projects have targeted the most vulnerable youth, such as a movie projects promoting LGBTQI rights in Moldova or speaking up about domestic violence against women in Armenia. All the projects were exceptional having in mind that they were implemented with zero funding, purely organized through the resources of participants, networks of partner organizations and in kind contribution and support provided by local stakeholders in each respective country. The projects took place in home countries of the participants: Armenia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Romania. All the projects were implemented through diversity glasses and tackled issues of minority groups living in participating countries. From 6-14 of October participants from Armenia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Romania have gathered in Yerevan. Following the successful implementation of small projects, the project results were evaluated and presented to public during a Closing Event. The public event was attended by young people, representatives of NGO’s and international organizations, media and partners.
