The seven countries involved in developing this youth exchange on mental health and wellbeing were Norway, UK, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and Hungary. At the APV in Cardiff, Wales in April 2019 the leaders and participants who attended decide on which countries would deliver which workshops. The exchange then was held in May 2019 with each country providing 1 leader and 4 young people aged 18 to 30 years. The young people in each country had been chosen through a selection process open to all but with a focus on young people with fewer opportunities and each country chose the topics that they would like to work on and deliver on the exchange, doing this with each other through discussions and video conferencing on social media. They devised an innovative programme of activities to cover mental health, yoga and meditation, fitness and exercise including sport and dance, healthy eating, nature walk and rambling and use of technology and gamification for exercise, they were taught general coaching skills and excerise with a range od gym equipment is a beautiful outdoor fitness park in Barry Island. Each country has a range of problems and brought different skills and experiences to teach each other how to combat these problems in their countries. We devised a unique and innovative way of dissemination and confirming achievements, outcomes and results and also will award all participants from each country who complete achievements a nationally recognised accreditaion in Sports and Fitness from the UK. This has had an enormous impact on the participants and on the partners who now have a motivated and skilled (qualified) group of young people to help develop their provision back in their countries and also the potential of a dramatic impact of new ideas for health and fitness on the young people in the communities that the partners operate in and as wide across Europe or even the world that our dissemination and impact can take us. The range of activities, workshops and non formal learning skills were a fantastic credit to the young people involved.

<< Objectives >>We all have our unique characteristics and personalities that make us different from each other. Those characteristics, qualities and attributes – which are the bases for the betterment of society – are in fact most important and of great significance, whether it be loyalty, sincerity, love or gratitude. Tolerance is one of those qualities that forms the bedrock of society. The world is a much smaller place today. Globalisation has blurred borders throughout the world. More people from different nations, cultures, religions and lifestyles are working together and living in the same neighborhoods than ever before. Tolerance of each others’ differences is a very important key to keeping peace among young generation. Youth exchange programme aims to promote tolerance, respect and mutual understanding through cultural, religion, ethnic diversity between youth from different countries, will be achieved by each activity planed during the youth exchange. By gathering youth from different countries together to discuss and to share their experience, ideas and work together for being source of spread gained information in their community, project will support to unite youngsters from different background, nations and culture. Cross-cultural learning and dialogue between the participants from different countries, with a view to promoting mutual understanding and tolerance. By interacting freely and opening their minds through specific games and tasks, young people will together find out elements of multiculturalism, tolerance, partnership, social volunteering and dialogue, discuss the importance of being involved in local community in friendly and supportive atmosphere and outline issues of social inclusion. << Activities >>The project covers main activities: preparation, youth exchange in Poland, evaluation and dissemination. Youth Exchange is the core activity of the project. Exchange days will become a special space created due to non-formal educational methods and wide NGOs' experience of social work for communication between youth Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Italy and Slovakia. Before project application, Participants from each NGO discussed the ideas for the project, their specific needs and expected contribution. All the participants had the opportunity to share their ideas and visions with the other project members in a common project Facebook group. It was decided to place core project activities proposed and created by participants to the programme. Facilitators will support their preparation activities and will be ready to contribute. Partners will be represented by 5 participants (4 participants and 1 team leader). << Impact >>The impact on participants that will take part in this youth exchange will be the most relevant one, as they will acquire new skills, will develop new competencies and behaviours; apart from the impact that the Youth exchange will have on them directly, when the activity will take place, by interacting in an inter-cultural context, by experiencing a different learning environment, the impact will be sustainable as they will implement in their local communities their new competencies and abilities by organizing different community-based activities. We expect participants to change their attitude and welcome the tolerance in their everyday life, share this attitude with friends, family and within local community. Participants of this youth exchange are expected to become multipliers of results of the project. << Objectives >>For young people, online life is becoming an increasingly important part, and we, as youth workers, cannot ignore this situation. Moreover, the topic of information technologies is increasingly being introduced into the youth work, as this is effective way to communicate and interact with young people. Thus, we believe that interaction with information and digital technologies in youth work has two important aspects:1)Information and digital management of NGOs, in particular, competences and needs of youth workers, informational and data literacy, communication, digital safety, etc.2)How digital technologies affect youth and how youth workers can help young people, especially vulnerable youth, to find a balance between real, offline life and online life (including how to prevent cyber bulling, grooming, sexting and exposure to content they find upsetting or shocking).Aim and ObjectivesSo, the aim of the training course is to empower youth workers with information and tools, which will help them safely manage digital technologies in their organizations, as well as effectively interact online and offline with young people, especially with young people from vulnerable groups. The specific objectives of the project then will be following:-to strengthen capacities and knowledge of youth workers about using digital technologies for increasing social inclusion and participation in society;-to exchange the experience, best practices and initiatives, in which information and digital security can be maintain (protection of young people's privacy, personal data, etc.);-to develop Guide for NGOs on ensuring digital security in youth work, which will be uploaded on SALTO Toolbox for Training & Youth Work.-to raise awareness how digitalization has influence on societies, including its impact on youth work and on young people;-to empower youth workers’ understanding about the role of youth work in preventing cyber bulling, grooming, sexting and exposure to content youngsters find upsetting or shocking;-to reinforce critical thinking of youth workers towards informational technologies, which they will transmit to youngsters, especially to young people from vulnerable groups;-to know how to react to hate speech, cyber bullying and other unwanted behavior online, and to encourage young people to do so;-to share best practices among youth workers, how to expand the horizons of young people regarding the offline life, informing them about the various possibilities of Erasmus + Program. Our project will increase the competences of the youth workers and capacities of the organizations from different countries working in youth field, will equip youth workers with competences and methods needed for transferring the common values on local, national and international level.Through this DSYW Training Course (TC), we want to remind youth workers that they need to consider their daily work deliberately. Every day, working with young people, having their personal data (e-mails, passport data, other personal information) needs a very responsible approach for organizing their working space. At the same time, it is the youth worker who can help vulnerable youth cope with the consequences of the expansion of digital technologies and take a step towards social inclusion.<< Activities >>Our TC will take place in Wroclaw, Poland from 2nd till 9th October 2019 and will gather together 31 youth workers (4 participants per country + 2 Trainers from Poland and Lithuania + 1 Coordinator from Poland) from 7 different countries: Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia. We understand that this is a fairly large number of participants, but given the profile of the partner organizations and the fact that we have already chosen motivated participants, a large group in this training course will help expand the results, make the work more efficient and exchange more experience. Two professional trainers will be able to facilitate all the processes, as well as the participants are able to manage themselves and contribute to the project. This project is collective initiative of the organizations developing projects in the framework of Erasmus plus. With all the organizations involved in the project, we already had the opportunity to work together, being involved in different KA1 and KA2 activities. For us, the most important thing is that we share the same values and have a vision of how youth work can and should be developed in the modern world. With some organizations we have a similar profile and target audience, with some there are differences, that is why we believe that participation in the project will be beneficiary for all organizations involved in the Training Course as it will allow looking to the problem from practical experiences and expanding the partnership network. The methodology of the TC is based on the fundamental principles of non-formal learning, also we will use the basic skills of self-work, IT business and psychology. The TC aims have specific outcomes as giving participants new skills and competences in working with youth with different social background; communicating and cooperating with youth workers from different countries, developing the common sense about the qualitative youth work between all the parties involved. The methodology in the project is the result of a common discussion among the project partners on the base of the objectives, the values and ideas that the project is intended to promote. During the project participants will acquire communicative skills, self-presentation skills, cultural awareness, mutual understanding, solving problems, trust and respect towards different cultures and working styles. They will become more aware of the essence of youth work from the psychological and sociological aspect; will learn how to manage their own abilities and how to help others in this sphere. We will try to create a space to learn and share about analyzing our previous experiences and then create a learning environment in which we can practice and test the best way to include learning in every part of the project cycle.Among the partnership of DSYW project, we have already selected participants depending on their motivation, as well as the opportunity to transfer the acquired knowledge within the framework of their organizations, as well as to other interested target groups. Participants will be youth leaders, youth workers, social workers, representatives from youth NGOs department of public sector who work daily with youth in non-formal education, trainers who would like to develop their training competences in the field of digital youth work.As agreed by all organisations of the project, some of the participants are people with fewer opportunities (educational obstacles, economic obstacles, cultural differences, geographical obstacles). We are ready to provide additional assistance and support to the participants with the fewer opportunities. We also understand how much they need it, as digital youth work is a space where they feel equal with all other youth workers. Our target group are people directly or indirectly working with youth. Partner organizations understand that this TC is a serious step for future cooperation. The project is a response to the needs of youth workers and their organisations as such; in order to improve their work and therefore improve the quality of the European projects. At the same time the project will help youth workers to explore others’ styles of interacting with youth and managing the projects, as well as to reflect on digital differences and the project will be a great chance to meet and work in the intercultural environment.<< Impact >>For us, one of the main tasks and values is to obtain a sustainable effect and not be limited only by short-term project results. Therefore, we want to strengthen the impact of the project at different levels, thus, the project will have an impact on the local, national and European/International levels. Thanks to active participation in the project, participants will strengthen capacities and knowledge about using safely digital technologies in youth work, will raise awareness how digitalization has influence on societies, including its impact on youth work and on young people; exchange the experience, best practices and initiatives, in which information and digital security can be maintain (protection of young people's privacy, personal data, etc.); discover how to react to hate speech, cyber bullying and other unwanted behavior online, and to encourage young people to do so.Moreover, they will reinforce various of skills and attitudes, including the critical thinking towards informational technologies, which they will transmit to youngsters, especially to young people from vulnerable groups. Each participant will bring a multiplying effect of their local societies– sending organization, youth with whom they are working, family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances and local media. In this way, the project objectives will be disseminated to the personal connections. The main value lies in the fact that participants in the TC will receive effective mechanisms and tools that can be used in various spheres of life, so they can help not only their colleagues who specialize in youth work, but also broader target groups. An important result will be that youth workers will be able to include in their work more young people with the risk of social exclusion, цho very often lives only online life and who can be reached using effective digital management mechanisms in youth work. Specifically for this category of young people it will be given a workshop after returning, and in the future it is planned their active inclusion in the social life of the organization. In addition, organizations will be able to share the acquired knowledge with other organizations working with young people (social centers, minority’s communities etc). Through contact of the organization’s and national media resources, participants will be able to broaden their public. Since organizations working in one country can also get to know each other and start cooperation, the knowledge gained can be spread beyond each sending organization to other organizations, operating in that country and they will also have the opportunity to strengthen their sustainability and social inclusion opportunity. The project is expected to provide reliable network of organizations for further cooperation and development. Knowing partners who share their values, it will be easier for organizations to cooperate and implement projects of a qualitatively new level in future. We believe that we need to move systematically, so we decided to start to establish cooperation with the countries of our region, and then move on.At the same time, through social media and distribution of project’ materials (Guide, photos, short video, articles of participants etc) the public of the project will not be limited only by the participants’ countries. Our Guide on Digital Security in Youth Work will be uploaded on SALTO Toolbox for Training & Youth Work. The impact of the project will be felt at the European level by promoting European values, youth activities through the Erasmus+ Program and recognition of youth work among different stakeholders. Also, after the mobility activities, all participants will receive Youthpass certificates, which confirms their participation and contains information about their achievements and competences gained during the mobilities, which can increase their chances on the labour market.Outputs and tools created during the project (including the Guide on Digital Security in Youth Work) will be uploaded on Erasmus + Projects Results Platform and Salto toolbox where they will be available for big amount of youth workers. Youth workers will use the project outcomes in their work and practice; to ensure that the impact is transferred, they will have the meeting with their colleagues and other interested parties (social workers, parents, teachers) to give the inputs of the project, as well as to conduct a workshop for local youth on topics of preventing cyber bulling, grooming and sexting. Besides the expected outputs directly related to the objectives and activities, how to manage digital security in NGO and how youth worker can help vulnerable youth cope with the consequences of the expansion of digital technologies and take a step towards social inclusion, this project will allow to promote and multiply best practices, increase youth workers competences and improve quality of European projects.
