The project promotes the practice of sport among young people with a particular attention to the values that make sport an critical moment of personal growth, to be (in the game and above all in life) reliable players, ""great workers"" and able to play not just for themselves, but above all for the team. Sport is a tool for non-formal education to promote European values and principles of unity in diversity (respect for fundamental rights, awareness of European citizenship, the culture of peace and intercultural dialogue). The project intends to offer young athletes a training experience that allows them to be aware European citizens and people who lead a healthy and positive lifestyle, being able to be so respectful of themselves and others, regarding both culture and identity. It applies to both- the environment and society. For the matter of knowledge, skills and critical abilities that embrace know-how they can also be used in the professional and labour market. Moreover, they have relevance in everyday life, concerning others, to every level and in every area. Sport is ""a passion that is born of very young never leaves and allows them to learn, through lots of fun, to stay in a group, to be disciplined, to concentrate and to be aware of their abilities and their limits."" (Michele Miani)The Eu T@P-in project is consistent with the general objectives of the Erasmus + program such as European cooperation on youth, the development of the European dimension of sport and the promotion of European values. The project becomes an opportunity to initiate or strengthen forms of collaboration to organise and implement successive sports activities of European importance and dimension, promoting European values and principles of unity in diversity (respect for fundamental rights, awareness of European citizenship, culture peace and intercultural dialogue). The project will involve the universities sports associations in its activities; therefore, young people from different countries. The project aims to promote and develop forms of cooperation between the students after its expiration date although development can trigger new ways of collaboration between them. The Eu T@P-in project is characteristic by the practice of empowerment in sport and pursues the following specific objectives:1) In sport and life- provide athletes with useful tools to improve themselves on a technical and athletic level with the acquisition of new specialised skills;- improve the level of skills and critical competencies of the individual participants, also concerning access to the labour market;- develop critical thinking and the spirit of initiative,- increase the active participation of young people in sport and everyday life- Offer young people a healthy lifestyle model, with an emphasis on the benefits deriving from sports activities thanks to practical team activities and workshops focusing on the benefits of sport on the body.2) In intercultural coexistence- creating the conditions for the future development of transnational cooperation among the participants- develop skills, acquire new knowledge and experiences of living together- improving foreign language skills and promoting linguistic diversity and intercultural awareness- promoting diversity and intercultural dialogue, common values of tolerance, solidarity and respect- to overcome prejudices and stereotypes rooted in the mentality and culture of young people;- establish new contacts<< Activities >>The Eu T@P-in project aims the university students who practice basketball within the sports associations of their respective universities. It consists of a residential stay of several groups of students from Italy, Poland and Ukraine who will live together with a specialized experience of non-formal education which, starting from sport, will enrich them on a personal, cultural and civic level. They are 18 basketball players for each national group, accompanied by the coach and leader. All this will take place in the tourist village of Lignano Sabbiadoro, a structure with sports facilities located in the Pineta, in a unique environmental and territorial context, particularly suitable for such initiatives. The program of activities will include all the groups of university students/athletes from the various countries and universities involved. Although the project offers professional training and technical updating and tournaments it means other techniques such as the quality of life in terms of both psychophysical development (health , healthy life, nutrition and conscious consumption, self-awareness, self-esteem, empowerment, relational skills) that of cultural and civic education (promotion of unity in diversity, respect for fundamental rights, awareness of European citizenship, culture of peace and dialogue intercultural).SPORTS ACTIVITIESBasketball is a complete sport, which requires strength, speed and good strength in the arms and legs. Proper physical preparation is essential. Participants will be able to perfect their technique and fundamentals. They will participate in work sessions and training sessions, with activities of individual specialisation and by role, video analysis, in-depth analysis both on personal fundamentals and on the strategic level of the game, with theoretical technical/tactical lessons in the classroom targeted for this age group.INTERCULTURAL WORKSHOPS The purpose of the workshops is to understand the motivations that guide people in their actions, and therefore the understanding of reality different from mine, to know new, different values, which can enrich relationships. The educators will invite participants to a profound reflection not only on their own hierarchy of values and principles which are inspiring motives for the actions that we believe are right for us and on the basis of which we establish our priorities and take decisions, but also and above all those of others which may be different from ours. Participants will have the opportunity to look within themselves, not only in terms of what they are but also how they stand in front of a national and international group. Young people with different origins, languages and cultures will participate in the exchange. By using the methodologies mentioned above we want to draw young people's attention to multi-level communication, and therefore conscious communication: verbal, non-verbal and emotional. This way, participants will be able to turn on their imagination, the development of individuality, creative abilities, to express feelings and desires and be understood despite the use of different languages.EUROPEAN CONSCIENCE The purpose of this experience is to contribute to the development of the awareness of European unity based on the values of pluralism, peace and cooperation among peoples, and the need for tolerance in knowing other youthful lifestyles, the acceptance of other, open views, learn about new cultures and enhance different countries. The young participants will be able to develop a deep integration between the representatives of various European cultures and favour of the cultural collaboration and the traditions coming from other countries. They are offering young people A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE MODEL, with an emphasis on the benefits of outdoor activities. Various practical exercises in which young people work in teams, competing in different types of sports, supplemented by workshops focused on the benefits of a holistic approach to the sport as a tool to the healthy body and mind. Moreover, the boys will participate in the national evenings: Italian, Polish and Ukrainian. Each group will present its own country, its peculiarities, accompanied by visual presentations and tastings of typical dishes. Its planned an organisation of the intercultural evening, during which participants will prepare games and quizzes about their countries. There is also a formative assessment in all phases of the project which constitutes the essential and integral part of the project activities, enriched by the reflection on the non-formal structured learning process and the acquired competencies and for the development<< Impact >>The Eu T@P-in project (European Training @ Pineta) will have an impact on both participants, organisations and youth organisations outside the circle of project participants, implementing and transferring innovative practices at local, regional, national and European level. It will be able to sustain positive and long-lasting effects even on individuals not directly involved. The expected effect of the activities carried out with the youth mobility project will undoubtedly have a substantial impact and expansion of the capacity and quality of cooperation among the young participants. The result will be more personal and civic awareness; better will be the participation of individuals in social life and overall social cohesion. The experience and daily contact, with other athletes, will allow to benefit from inputs and supports in English and to acquire essential tools, for a European opening and to face future multicultural projects. The improvement in language skills and relationship with other realities will make human relations more alive, genuine and engaging. Young people will become the spokesperson for multiculturality that will expand to multiple points of view, attitudes and different ways of asking themselves that only coexistence, albeit temporary, with people of different cultures can bring. Participation in the program will allow them to develop and improve basic and transversal skills related to multilingualism and multiculturalism. The result will be intercultural dialogue, indispensable for living in a multicultural society which has now become the European reality of the Member States. Cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity will perceive as a source of wealth. The project offers young people a wide range of opportunities to increase their cross-cultural collaboration on an international level. It also allows them to improve their motivation by participating actively in issues of active European citizenship that respect cultural differences, commitment to democratic values and respect for fundamental rights, awareness of European citizenship, the culture of peace and intercultural dialogue. The young people, who will train and live together, will know and experiment with new organisational models of sport. The expected effect of the activities carried out with the youth mobility project will lead to a substantial increase in motivation and active participation in sports activities by children: the achievement of self-awareness and control over their choices, decisions and actions, both in the field of personal relationships and in social life. It will have a direct impact on the development of ""key competencies"" of young people as the spirit of the initiative and the vital protagonist in the path of personal growth. It also expects the improvement of the level of critical skills and competencies even with access to the labour market. This experience will undoubtedly favour the improvement of the linguistic competences of the procedures in organisational management related to all the project activities of the European dimension. It will strengthen the management capabilities in the international sphere of the participating organisations, leading to quality improvements in youth work. The expected effect of the project will undoubtedly have a substantial impact and expansion of the capacity and quality of cooperation among the participating organisations in the international field, leading at the same time to quality improvements in their youth work. There will also be an indirect impact on sports clubs. The project will develop motivation for the growth and expansion of professional skills, bring wealth and higher professional and cultural awareness, increase the sense of belonging to the sporting community. The project involves university sports associations from several countries and, at least indirectly, also the respective universities of reference. The collaboration between the associations themselves can also favour that between universities and other subjects in Europe and internationally. Individuals participating in the project, under the specific training course that concerns them in the light of this experience, can be protagonists and promoters of relations between the university structures in which they participate as students. The project undoubtedly will spread a sense of curiosity in the other students' clubs, the coaching teams and the administration departments. Many of the proposed sports activities carried out by the participants will be recognised by their qualities, values and will drive the desire to participate in a next opportunity and therefore will have a direct impact at the local level."

HETMAN,Lviv UniversityFunder: European Commission Project Code: 574124-EPP-1-2016-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JPFunder Contribution: 625,625 EUR"In the field of vocational education and training (VET) quality has become one of the most relevant issues. Besides regulation patterns, curricula that fit the demand by labour markets and reliable and efficient organisations for the delivery of VET, one crucial ""input variable"" is the professionalisation of teachers working in the field of VET. For the quality of teacher training the mode in which teachers are trained has become more and more complex since teachers need to be (1) experts in their vocational field (2) pedagogical/didactical experts who know how to teach effectively; (3) and they also need to know what young people to be trained expect when they start their career. The project addresses these issues and wants to contribute to establishing a profound didactical understanding and underpinning of VET teacher programmes/courses in the Ukrainian universities taking part in the project. Didactical and organisational inputs come from three EU countries with strong experience in VET teacher education. The project aims at newly created or revised curricula for VET teacher courses taking account of modern didactics, the importance of pedagogy in general, and also internship regulations that ensure that future teachers also can gain practical experience in schools and companies before they start their career. Hereby, the involvement and commitment of vocational schools/colleges and companies will be a crucial objective of the project. It is intended that the project can contribute to raise awareness of securing a modern VET teacher education system in Ukraine, that it will underline the general social and economic importance of this professional group and that it will contribute to raising the status of teachers in the Ukrainian society in general. Besides, long-term impacts can be seen in a more functional and quality-minded approach to VET delivery in schools and companies."
