We continued in cooperation with foreign partners from England, Ireland and Spain. The project was designed for 18 pupils of the 2nd and 3rd years of our school, who completed four-week internships as a part of their compulsory professional practice. The other two participants went abroad for 13 weeks as a part of the ErasmusPro activity. The participants were specialized in modelling and design of clothing, interior design and multimedia creation. In total, we sent 20 participants and 4 accompanying persons. The professional content of the traineeships was determined by using the ECVET system. Participants worked in advertising agencies, press studios, photo studio, theatre, fashion boutiques, dressing room and in interior design studio. Thanks to their participation in the project, the participants gained quality professional experience abroad, which brought them new professional and language experience, skills and knowledge, personal development, experience with living abroad, cultural enrichment and increased their mobility and adaptability. The aim of the project was that the internship should help participants in further studies and then lead to their better employment in the labour market. The results of the project are mainly in intangible form, namely in the competencies of the participants in the professional, linguistic, personal and intercultural areas. Material results include design proposals, participant products, certificates (Europass Mobility, certificates from intermediary partners), ECVET evaluation from employers, photo documentation from internships and dissemination outcomes. The impact of the project on the school is in the area of exchange of experience, professional growth of project team members and accompanying persons, improvement of teaching and building the prestige of the school. The project increased interest in artistic vocational education and study at our school. We also consider the contribution of the project to raising awareness of Europass Mobility and ECVET to be important. The long-term benefit of the project is the development of relations with foreign organizations in the field of expertise, which will enable us to further cooperate on European projects and contact with European practice.

The final shape of the project was created during a personal visit of the project coordinator in Omnia where she had the opportunity to have a look at the school facilities and to discuss forming the units of learning outcomes. The aim of the project was to improve knowledge and professional skills of our students, increase their chance to find a better position in a labour market, motivate all the students of our school on one hand, but also our future applicants on the other, to take part in similar projects, to encourage students carry on their studies and to be involved in extracurricular activities. What is more, the project contributed to growth and improvement of the knowledge and professional competences of our teachers, enlarged the offer of optional seminars , helped our school closely cooperate with organizations and companies in our region. The aim of the project was not only the practical training of our teachers and students itself, but also exchanging ideas, classroom methodology and making people being aware of the branch in Europe – wide context. The project became a significant move to establish a wider international cooperation with other schools and companies in EU.There were four students from 3rd and 4th classes participating in the project in two consecutive cycles. The two of them were the students of Modelling and fashion design and the other two study branch Multimedia. The choice of the students was based on the strictly stated criteria consisting of: evaluation of their professional skills, level of English and showing their interest in the studied branch. The teachers who took part in a practical training were chosen from the experts of the two previously mentioned branches. Also in their case the criteria included level of English, professionalism and their interest to work on the project tasks. The main activity our students did was working on the project tasks in the environment of the partner school, the purpose of which was gaining an internationally accepted qualification according to the European system ECVET. Concerning the teachers, they did the job-shadowing of their Finnish colleagues. Besides visiting the school workshops and special classrooms, they also monitored the teaching techniques and became familiar with the school documents. An integral part of the project was an informal familiarization with the Finnish working environment, the education system and the culture as a whole. The progress and coordination of the project was all time supervised by the main guarantor, Mgr. Alice Švalbová. The staff arranged technical material, the contract and content conditions of the journey. The students´ job content was based on ECVET methodology, and the Finnish partner supervised to complete all the objectives which results from the contract. Finally, the Finnish school signed the Europass mobility to our students and the results were the confirmed units of learning outcomes.Besides the direct impact on the direct participants the outcome of the project was mainly gaining other possible types of teaching techniques, the introduction of another innovations, making valuable labour – study international contacts, improvement of the students´ and teachers´ orientation in a labour market in the countries of EU, making our school as a whole being involved in progressive activities which could improve a general position of the school in the local area. The benefit of the project is a wider impact of activities such as exhibitions, lectures, recruitments and open days, the information publishedshed on the school websites, Facebook and in the local media not only on the students and teachers, but also on sister companies, institutions and other schools with which our school keeps in touch . Our school has become the centre of spreading innovations, new experience, skills and teaching techniques, and has had a positive effect on its region in a broader context. A long – term benefit means having positive international relations in the field of professional training, and thus allowing repetition of professional projects and mobility, visits of foreign teachers and students, and gainig all– European wide cultural range of knowledge to enrich teaching process and extracurricular activities.

Omnia's partner network grew with Portugal and Lithuania in this project. These countries were added in the partner network, because in Lithuania Omnia started co-operation in property maintenance field, where it was lack of co-operation partners elsewhere in Europe among Omnia's partners. Two property maintenance teachers carried out staff mobilities in this project to initialize field's co-operation in Lithuania and in the following project: Omnia Around Europee 4 two first property maintenance students did their internships in Lithuania as the result of these staff mobilities.Hotel- restaurant- and travelling field students and one teacher from the same field were sent to Portugal, as planned, to carry out their on-the-job learning periods and working life period. Experiences were so promising that co-operation with Portugal was continued also in the project, following after Omnia Around Europe 3. Co-operation within safety and security field was also started in this field, by one active safety field teacher, with a staff mobility in Malta. As the result of his staff mobility, 4 first Omnia students from the field of safety and security did their internships in Malta in two security comopanies in the following project, funded by EU.In this project Omnia offered an opportunity to carry out an international mobility for students from 16 different vocational fields including technical fields. 37 % of all participants were male and 63 female. Field equality was good, gender equality could have been better. The network of receiving partners in this project was wide. 42 organisations (mainly vocational colleges of differnt sizes) and 24 small or medium size companies without pic-code acted as receivng organisations for Omnia. Participants in staff mobility activity were with many different staff profile. In addition to vocational teachers, there was one digital tool expert, 2 foreign company representants, 3 participants from Omnia library services, one headmistress, three sector heads, the leader of Omnia youth workshops, 2 special teachers, a house construction site coordinator, and one assistant for electricity field teaching. By giving opportunities for this wide selection of different profile staff members, Omnia enhances positive attitude towards internationalization among its staff and also adds their courage to market mobility periods also for students from different vocational fields. Finnish working life representants were not sent for staff mobilities in this project, because project funding was not sufficient for it. In stead of this project (Omnia Around Europe3), in the following Project: Omnia Around Europe 4, 11 work life representants were sent for staff mobilities in Germany and Spain. International study unit has now been two years a formal part of Omnia curriculum. Its name is "" To be a professional internationally"". With this study unit Omnia recognizes its students international internships vocationally and also the informal know-how, which is gained, when preparing for, carrying out and documenting the on-the-job training period abroad. The majority of Omnias student participant in this project carried out either the whole of this study module or parts of it by participating in an international mobility. Each of 102 students also filled a Training Agreement and let an evaluation certificate be filled by their work supervisors during their internships according the the principles of Ecvet. On basis of this certificate each student got formal recognition of his/her international period when returning back to Finland and Omnia. A few group mobilites were also made in this project. They were for instance 4 students' mobility (from the field of social and health care) to Scotland, six students' mobilities (from many vocational fields) to Bilbao and 4 travelling students' and 5 technology students' mobilities to Canary Islands. The majority of the mobilites were still made in smaller; 2-3 students' groups. A group mobility in business and admin field, which was planned for this project, was carried out by Omnia own funding and media field group mobility was carried out within this project's period, but by the funding of the following project, Omnia Around Europe 4, because funding of this project was then already used. The biggest impact of this project is that internationality was enhanced at Omnia as one of the main attraction factor to apply to Omnia. Although the number of student mobilities from Finnish Vocational colleges abroad was decreased at national level during past years, Omnia's mobility numbers have constantly been growing. Good experiences in this project encouraged Omnia students apply more for mobilities and the number of student participants grew from this project's 142 to 166 in Omnia Around Europe 4."

These mobility projects will be continued and developed in the new Erasmus+ Programme. Newly graduated people who are in the labor market can also participate in the new Omnia Onni project. Internationalization is one of Omnia’s strategic development areas. In this project especially those fields were there aren’t a lot of international activities will be encouraged to participate. Over 100 students and 6 newly graduated will participate in this multi fielded mobility project. The participants will be selected in cooperation with the international coordinators, teachers, heads of departments and students’ welfare services. The student mobilities will be carried out in the final year of the studies.Omnia has good experiences of PLM mobilities from previous projects. In this project there will be mixed groups of Omnia students and newly graduated people. The mobilities will be promoted to the students who are going to graduate from Omnia. The selections will be made based on the applications and recommendations of teachers. There are in total 26 mobilities for Omnia staff members and for business life partners who will carry out the mobilities together with Omnia’s staff. Especially those staff members who haven’t been involved in international activities will be encouraged to participate to make international activities more known in the organization. In order to offer more possibilities for the staff members the length of the mobility can be chosen to last 3 to 14 days. The program and content of the mobilities vary depending on the objectives of the participant and the organisation. The focus can be for example on ECVET, benchmarking, guiding students or supporting the evaluation process of student’s skills. For students and graduates there are 14-80 days’ on the job learning periods in the project. Each participant will take part in the preparatory activities like cultural course, language course and meetings about practical things. The on the job learning period will be carried out in a relevant company. Participants have learning agreements which include the work tasks and skills and competences to be acquired during the mobility. After the mobility the acquired skills and competences will be recognized in the studies. People on the labor market can get this period recognized in their future studies.Omnia’s mobility team is in charge of the project from planning and implementing to reporting. There are the head of international activities, 3 coordinators and two assistants in the team. In addition all the units in Omnia have teachers who participate in the implementation of the project. The project will be executed following the internationalization strategy and the mobility processes of Omnia. As Omnia has long experience in mobility projects all the necessary tools (application forms, students’ information files, material for preparation etc.) for project management already exist. The mobility experiences during and after the studies improve the students’ possibilities to get further study place and are considered as an advantage in the labor market. The language skills, cultural competence and vocational skills improve. The experience makes it easier to work or study abroad later on. The documents in which the acquired skills and competences are clearly described give good information to the employers and educational organizations. The staff mobilities improve the cultural and language skills of the staff. Using a foreign language in different contexts gets easier. Also the knowledge of the European educational systems, work culture and methods and ECVET system is very important. The certificated mobility project gives the organization excellent possibilities to develop the mobility activities and processes in the long term.

Omnia’s partner network will be widened by new project countries and organizations: Austria, Latvian and Czech Republic are the new project countries in relation to Omnia Around Europe’s project countries. In addition to these, new partner organizations will become from Scotland and Slovenia. The most important point to implement mobilities is to continue co-operation with known, responsible and trustworthy partner organizations. An important aim is to provide internationalization possibilities evenly to students and experts from possibly many vocational fields from Omnia’s wide international co-operation network. The length of student mobility periods varies from two to twelve weeks and expert mobilities from one to two weeks. Accompanying person mobilities will be applied for a two-week-group-mobility periods to France. The aim during this college mobility period would be to plan and implement a wooden product under supervision of French and Finnish teachers. In addition to this another group-mobility-period will be applied for a ten-student group for the cooking and baking field students. Two support person mobilites would be applied even to this period. These group-mobility-periods would be done for two different co-operation colleges in France. Omnia has a clear aim to combine internalization strategy to curriculums, develop the studies of internationalization pathway and implement the internationalization strategy. Home college internationalisation will be improved by developing activities with tutor students for intenational activities. This work will be a strategical aim in Omnia’s international development work in 2016. In connection with it we have started a workgroup working with representants from Omnia’s different vocational divisions, persons from international office and pedagogical heads and some persons from other national vocational sister colleges.( Hyria and Vaasa Vocational College). One aim would be to create a time-bound part of study entity concerning key competencies of lifelong learning, which would be achieved during international mobility periods. International project work, including international mobility periods, will be handled both in the applying phase and during the actual working period of a project, in Omnia’s pedagogical development team. There are representants from Omnia’s different divisions in this group. The members of pedagogical development team are working as contact persons between the students and personnel of their own vocational field and management of Omnia and between project services and international team. With this interaction we try to ensure common interests and lines in different project, development and mobility activities. Good practices will be described in Omnia’s pedagogical program and will be presented in the pedagogical group’s meetings. In Omnia’s result card the aims of student and expert mobilities will be described and these aims would be followed and controlled regularly in Omnia’s management group and on the level of administration. The number of applied mobility periods is based on numbers of mobilities done during the school year 2015-2016 and on the plans that are done for next project year.
