The project le Créneau 2015 concerns the organization of an EVS long term project where 4 volunteers coming from Italy, Ukraine, Hungary and Greece will be integrated in a team of 6-8 french and international volunteers and involved in all the actions of the center. Following their skills we will give them different tasks in term of management of the activities.Le Créneau is a youth association born in 1993 and based in Montcombroux les Mines (Allier). The objectives of the association are: - to develop local actions connected with the territory and contribute to its revitalization: youth workcamps, educational workshops within the schools, cultural events with other associations, etc.- to manage an hosting ceter and its initiatives: the castel of Le Prureaux : hosting structures in the framework of intercultural stays, leisure time centers for activities in the agricultural domain, actions to fight unemployment and lack of participation. The volunteer will be sustained to put into practice their skills and into the process of taking responsibilities. This will be an enriching and formative time, that will help them to open up to the others and to better understand the context in which they live in order to help them becoming active citizens with less sterotypes and prejudices. Thanks to the energy that the volunteers will invest in the local level, sharing their ideas and cultures with a population that often do not have the opportunity to experience any intercultural experience, they will contribute to the local development and they will show a different way of being youth. With their participation to the local initiatives to promote international volunteering, the participants will be witnesses and promoters of the mobility opportunities offered by the association and by the European Union, giving them all the necessary information to take part into one of them.

This project is the opportunity to develop partnership with a country bearing much prejugments by other European populations as French. Together for Europe aim to give through intercutural meeting and involvment in solidarity actions to build link between youn Hungarians and orther europeans volunteers. Also, Solidarités Jeunesses has been proposing the Short-Term EVS to young people with fewer opportunities for years now.The participation of this public with fewer opportunities has a double purpose: - to enable disadvantaged young people to discover others, and so to discover themselves and also reinforce their capacity of commitment as citizens, and their capacity of european mobility- to implement a innovation project dynamic, where young people can involve themselves and get responsabilitiesFor two years now SJ has been sending groups from young people from its delegations in Short-Term EVS or individual. With its strong experience, and with the aim to strengthen its network and multiply, facilitate and improve short-term EVS group sending on European voluntary projects, we host volunteers from partners organization in our delegations. This project will give the opportunity to young people with fewer opportunities from Hungary to get involved in a european voluntary action. This project will also be the opportunity for these young people to participate in a project involving a european mobility. It is a personal development tool which will serve their social and profesional inclusion. The volunteers will be supported and accompanied on the project, who know them well and know their situation. This link is crucial to be able to adapt the project experience to the situation of each young volunteer.

All hosting places of Solidarités Jeunesses are open places, that enable diverses persons that stay there to learn to know themselves and to live together beyond the linguistics, socio cultural or socio economical barriers, and especially beyond prejudices.Through the values of solidarity, justice, respect for others and of peace, Solidarités Jeunesses' projects enhance the participation of all to local life and to actions in favor of an active and responsible citizenship. The projects encourage european interaction and intercultural dialogue in favor of an action and activities rooted in a local context.Volunteers were involved in all aspects of the project, they conributed to manual works et collective aspects of daily life, and also to the different activities of the animation in hosting places and in the neighbouring villages. The projects offer the possibility to young european volunteers to discover another face of France, the one of a rural France and to contribute to the local development and to the intercultural exchange. The different projects hosted in total eight volunteers on short term periods of time between july and december 2014.The choice for the length of the projects is made according to the expected profile of volunteers. Indeed a first experience of two months can already be challenging for some of them. Going abroad on a voluntary project with a specific frame, mentorship and follow up as the EVS frame offers, enable some youth to live a satisfactory first experience that gives them the will and the means to go on a longer project in the future. The youth that are hosted were youth without any diploma, and unemployed, with few or no qualifications, and with a social, economical and /or financial situation which is complicated. The idea is to participate to an international voluntary project and to take a step back , to discover new ways of doing, a new environment where the difficulties of daily lives are not anymore the elements that define the youth during the project. Thanks to the mentorship that was given before, during and after the project enable them to participate to the project the same way as anyone else.

EVS Iter 2016 was a project conducted by the City of Gothenburg. which gave 15 young people, with fewer opportunities – or undiscovered opportunities - a chance to do voluntary service abroad. The aim was to promote inclusion in society and employment, and create experiences in a European and a global context and empower the youth. The focus was young people at risk, youngsters who not completed upper secondary school and have no natural pathways into employment, young people who was unemployed and was at risk to get stuck in a permanent exclusion. To enable this the sending organisation City of Gothenburg and the unit Iter prepared the youth and further also captured the youth upon returning home by including the participants in activities and coaching. Through motivation- and a preparation phase and a follow-up phase funded by the City of Gothenburg we reached the target group and created more opportunities for young people to reach employment such as education or work. The volunteer activities was conducted in France and Iceland, within the partner organisations Solidarités Jeunesses and SEEDS. The target group had different interests and needs, which means that activities had to reflect these claims. Centre of attention was to jointly with the partner organisations create activities that felt meaningful and manageable for the youth. Methods used was based on non-formal and informal learning. The project promoted active citizenship, democratic values and human rights. The majority of the young participants in the project continued to studies and work employments after participation in the project EVS Iter 2016.

"This project will be based on the reciprocity of exchanges between voluntary associations which are long time partners. The knowledge of partners will enable a continuous exchange from identifying volunteers to final evaluation of various volunteering. The project will send young people with fewer opportunities to conduct a voluntary project abroad (young resident in France will go in another European country and, conversely, young people living in another European country will do volunteering in France). This project will enable French young and from other European countries: -to live an intercultural experience -to exceed their fears regarding a different environment -to engage in a dynamic project as a volunteer -to learn some technical in a particular field (education, construction / renovation, environment, social, etc.) / Faced with the resurgence of border controls within the European area, Solidarités Jeunesses wants to give the opportunity to young people 18 to 30 years to experience the concept of living together. Reciprocity with Solidarités Jeunesses is an essential element of the projects implemented. In this one, called ""Echanges"", we will strive to build mutual compréhension in the idea of contributing to the concrete construction of peace. Indeed, the encounter of the other enables to overcome prejudice and, thereby to appease the various tensions. As for volunteering, it supports a local community while providing voluntary confidence and desire to be an actor of his future."
