LAB. - Entrepreneurship And Self-emploYment by real experiences in LABour market” has allowed 60 young graduates residing in Basilicata Region to carry out a 4 month training period abroad in the sectors of food and wine, tourism and hotel hospitality (20 in France, 20 in Spain and 20 in the United Kingdom). The project, raising from the cooperation among the members of the National Consortium led by EuForMed Srls, aimed at promoting employment and entrepreneurship in the strongest sectors of regional economy, supporting a development model that was able to respect its economic-productive vocation. The objectives of the project regarded the beneficiaries and partners’ perspectives of development, can be considered widely achieved in consideration of the following analysis:-the greater knowledge of job opportunities coming from tourism and food and wine industry has been achieved not only by the realization of the 60 mobility programs abroad but also through the information and dissemination actions implemented by the members of the Consortium;-the increase of hard skills in the project sectors involved the 60 participants who, through their work experience abroad, were able to acquire, in accordance with the Regional Framework of Qualifications, knowledge and skills associated with specific units of expertise;-the development of interpersonal, communicative, organizational and management skills of the participants who, thanks to the mobility experience, have been able to acquire a great deal of information on the culture and economy of the host country, as well as on the modalities of interaction within a professional context;-the development of the skills recognition systems was prompted by the use of the Europass and ECVET tools. Albeit without having an operative recognition system at regional level, the need to certify the experiences abroad has allowed the Consortium members to acquire a methodology that will facilitate a wider use of the European certification and validation systems. The National Consortium and the individual members have been able to reach objectives that concerned a better knowledge of the professional figures and related competences of the tourism and food and wine sector; the strengthening of language skills; the empowerment of transnational cooperation tools necessary to increase European mobility; the enhancement of the link between school/training and productive sectors. The project has reached impacts on the beneficiaries and the organizations involved, as well as at local, national and European level. With reference to the participants, some of the impacts could be observed immediately at the end of the mobility period:-achievement of a greater awareness of their professional opportunities (100% of the participants);-acquisition of professional skills related to their field of study (88% of participants);-acquisition of soft skills related to the ability to work responsibly and professionally (100% of participants);-strengthening of foreign language skills (95% of participants). The impacts on the participants’ competences and the support action carried out by EuForMed and the partner organizations are also producing positive impacts on the participants’ employment opportunities. EuForMed has already been able to assess that the 32% of the participants received a job offer from foreign companies (against the initial expectation of 10%).Furthermore, the project action represented an important tool for consolidating collaborations within the Consortium and with foreign partners, responding to the internationalization need that was at the basis of the project action. Through the development and sharing of collaborative skills/competences within the partnership there have been impacts on the capacity of management and coordination of joint activities and projects, including future ones. Thanks to the skills acquired, the Consortium has been creating the conditions to act at regional level by proposing a training and employment strategy meeting the specifics needs of the labour market.

Agri-food and Tourism, Trade and Marketing, represented the reference sectors of the project and its VET actions. The project actions were aimed at 111 young graduates from school curricula related to the sectors above mentioned: Agriculture, Agri-food and Agro-industry; Administration, Finance and Marketing, Tourism, Food and Wine Services, and Hotel Hospitality. The mobility experiences promoted were long-term (4 months - ErasmusPro). In total, 52 male and 59 female candidates, aged between 19 and 22, were selected, coming from different Italian regions: Campania, Veneto, Tuscany, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Liguria, Sicily, Molise and Marche. The training activities developed under the form of an internship in host companies chosen on the VET learners’ specific features (aptitude, as well as professional needs). The objectives and impacts achieved by “S.E.E.D.S.” were the following:- consolidation of an organized and defined VET cooperation made up of the right social actors (VET schools, public authorities, trade associations) capable of supporting young people in their accessing the labor market.- implementation of 111 mobility experiences in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Malta, and Spain, for the enhancement of technical-scientific skills relating to the professional sectors of reference (100% of internships, in fact, were perfectly in line with the profile of the selected participants).- growth in the employability level of the young graduates who took part in the mobility (15% of beneficiaries entered the labor market following their Erasmus internship by securing a job position either in their host companies or new businesses belonging to the same professional sectors).- enrichment of linguistic and managerial skills for the Consortium members and all the representatives engaged in the project design and implementation; improvement of the language skills of direct participants through the OLS platform (more than 95% of learners declared an improved language knowledge in a second European language).- acquisition of more in-depth knowledge about the European funding mechanisms (many consortium schools, during the months of management of ""S.E.E.D.S."", participated in the Erasmus+ Program for the promotion of initiatives related to Key Action 1 - Mobility for school staff; UNCI Agroalimentare itself has obtained the Accreditation to the new Erasmus 2020-2027 Program under the Key Action 1 to continue supporting the mobility of VET Learners.- greater integration of the operating systems of different organizations related to VET with the aim of increasing the quality of training courses and feeding pedagogical research activities (the foreign receiving organizations were able to better investigate the management dynamics underlying the Learning Outcomes monitoring, evaluation and recognition mechanisms; on the other hand, the companies hosting the internships gave its internal teams a crucial contribution towards their internationalization)."

This general objective, in line with the ET2020 strategy is pursued through a mobility experience that consists of a learning mobility internship abroad of 1 month for 132 students/learners (including 20 disabled or with special needs students) and a 3 month internship for 110 recent graduates from the 11 participating VET schools. The training programme includes an internship in selected companies in the viticulture and wine production fields, to acquire knowledge and skills within the sectors and compare the various professional techniques, and activities aimed at the inclusion and integration in the context and for the improvement of language skills and to better know the culture of the hosting country. The main expected results from the project include: the rise of the personal and professional skills of the participants and the promotion of key competencies related to the real exercise of active citizenship; increasing the employment potential of the participants, the introduction of innovative training methods as a complement to existing practices and pathways and the improvement of the educational level of technical and vocational schools, the development of relations between the transnational partners and the promotion of processes of cooperation and exchange of good practices between the partners involved, with a significant impact in improving the educational and vocational guidance. The construction of a permanent network of transnational public-institutional organisations and not only, therefore, is one of the main objectives of the project and allows the exchange of experiences and best practices at various levels (technical excellence, best practices in educational policies and governance of the system). The Consortium, with this proposal, therefore, aims to give momentum to the internationalization of institutional relations and cooperation at European level. The opportunities for economic and social growth cannot be separated from the desire to create strong interdependence and synergy between educational and training institutions and strong partnerships with local and foreign business realities. The project is, besides, implemented in an European context considering the European priority and thematic approached such as ""ECVET for transparency and recognition of learning outcomes and qualifications"". The development of ECVET began in 2002 after the Copenhagen Process emphasizing the need for a credit transfer system for VET. ""InTerra"" is a project based on the concrete responses to the questions of developing ECVET in the European member States and corresponding to the 2009 EU Recommendations on the establishment of the European Credit system for VET. The project works in particular to realise an European area for Lifelong Learning in the viticulture and wine production sector. The whole activities are implemented by regarding a strong European perspective which is reflected in all project activities and results. The project aims to increase the knowledge of ECVET and its technical specifications and ensuring that the added value of ECVET is understood and perceived all over Europe. To represent knowledge, skills and competencies acquired by the participants during the mobility, the Consortium, shall adopt, finally, the OPEN BADGE STANDARD (OBI-Open Badges Infrastructure), which is a technological open source standard, defined by the Mozilla Foundation, to identify, collect and enhance persons' knowledge, skills and competencies. The Open Badges are essential as the labor market and the training systems need more and more dynamic and innovative systems that recognize knowledge, skills, competencies and quality of human capital."
