Future Narratives is a strategic partnership supporting innovation in the field of youth. It is addressed to youth workers and to young people aged 18-30 years old, particularly those from migrant or disadvantaged backgrounds. The general objectives of the project are: to support capacity building for the youth workers; to promote the importance of young people's awareness in common values, civic engagement and participation, fostering their empowerment; to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation between young European people. The project will last 24 months and will reach these general objectives introducing youth workers and young people to the concept of “Futures Literacy”. The concept of Futures Literacy has been developed since 2012 by the UNESCO, seeking to understand “the frames people use to understand tomorrow.” The project will use storytelling as the key heuristic to activate the capacity to reflect on the past, the present and the future and to recognise different approaches to them and their interpretation, thus fostering the understanding of the power of culture, stories and visions in enabling a better future. This understanding will give participants not only the tools to work on a vision for themselves and for their community, but will also develop key competences such as cultural understanding, critical thinking, social media literacy, communication and active participation in civic and social life. The partnership is composed of Traces&Dreams, as Applicant and the young adults training center Möjligheternas Plats, from Sweden; Andalucia Agoce, Federation for the promotion of integration and interculturality, from Spain; Inter Alia, not-for-profit organisation in the field of education and youth, from Greece; Machart, youth training center, from Germany; Euro Project Lab, a company for European Project Management from Italy.Future Narratives is therefore the result of the collaboration between Traces&Dreams, expert in the development of paths and contents oriented towards the promotion of digital literacy, narratives and storytelling, and European organizations that work closely with young people who often find themselves in disadvantaged conditions, caused by structural inequalities, stereotypes, lack of inclusion, fewer opportunities. The specific objectives of the project can be identified as follows:•To provide youth workers with tools aimed at promoting young people’s key competences and active participation to civic and social life thanks to Futures Literacy;•To enhance young people's key competences, with a particular focus on literacy; personal, social and learning to learn; digital; citizenship; cultural Cultural awareness and expression;•To engage, connect, empower young people thanks to Futures Literacy, enabling their voice and their vision to reach out policy-makers, public administrations, civil society and other young people all over Europe. The specific objectives thus identified will be achieved through the following activities:1)A Short-term joint staff training event (C1) for youth workers, engaging all partner organisation. The training will enable project partners to commonly identify the needs of the young participants of the project and to exchange their experience and approaches;2)The realisation of European Guidelines for the innovative use of narrative and storytelling in the empowerment of young people (IO1). This Intellectual Output will allow dialogue between partner organisations and experts in the fields of narrative, storytelling, and Futures Literacy in order to systematize the tools and the methodological approach of Future Narratives. This methodological framework will then be modelled into Guidelines transferable at European level;3)A Digital Platform (IO2), which will: 1) collect and disseminate the project results and digital contents throughout the project, 2) enable an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach to Future storytelling, 3) connect and reach out young people all over Europe;4)The experimentation of Future Narratives approach with young people through: 1) Future Narratives informal innovative pathways (IO3); 2) a series of Transnational Workshops in Spain, Greece, Germany and Sweden addressed to young participants (C2-C5).5)The dissemination of the project through several Multiplier Events (E1-E3) and a final, highly transferable, Multiplier Event (E4) intended as a Future Narrative Exhibition online and offline (in Sweden). 6)The monitoring and evaluation of project’s results. Thanks to these activities the project ultimately aims to reach young people and youth organisations across Europe in order promote the importance of giving visibility to youth aspirations, desires and visions for the future, thus enhancing young people’s participation and engagement in shaping the Europe of tomorrow.

"<< Background >>TON implemented in the period 2018-2021 (February) the REGAL international project that was materialized locally in Moldovita commune (Suceava) by conducting 12 Focus Groups with women to raise awareness of the term WLB (Work Life Balance).TON realized in the project time how insufficient this term is known in rural Romania, how new the approach was for the participants and how stimulated the work was within the Focus Groups. During the National Conference held on March 22, 2021 (https://www.facebook.com/events/4475852259108449/) attended by many representatives and coordinators of women's groups members of TON Foundation, was realized that the impact in Moldovita it was especially great among the direct beneficiaries and that the groups of women who are part of our Foundation are eager for this kind of activities. At the same time, from the discussions TON had during the National Conference, not only the idea of developing this project on a larger scale emerged, but it was realized that the work within the project developed at Moldovita can be transformed into a new and efficient method of work in any women's organization. And so was sprouted the idea of this project and the development of an ABLE Curriculum through participatory methods; Drama; European Policies and women’s rights, Storytelling asa ""transferable Method"" at European level. BICAS - Building Intercultural Competencies for Ambulance Services was a transnational project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, including six partners from Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain, running from 09/2016-08/2019. The main objective of this project was answering a rising need for intercultural competencies of ambulance service employees throughout Europe triggered by greater awareness about cultural diversity in European societies and especially by the increased influx of migrants and refugees. The on-going European integration, as well as the growing numbers of refugees and migrants, make intercultural competencies a necessity in pre-clinical emergency services. In fact, ambulance services and paramedics, as well as other medical and emergency personnel, are confronted with situations where intercultural knowledge is necessary. If intercultural competencies are lacking, emergency services are increasingly overstrained, leading to inadequate communication with patients, massive complications based on cultural/religious differences, psychosocial challenges and high stress levels on both sides, which result in avoidable complications in emergency situations. To achieve increased intercultural competencies, the consortium, consisting of vocational training institutions, organisations working with migrants, providing intercultural competencies training, IT experts and evaluation experts, developed an intercultural training course concept and framework which was translated into a blended learning approach and supporting tools, such as a Quick Reference in Action mobile APP. The App, which summarizes important information and can be used on the job to support ambulance service employees in the fulfilment of their tasks by providing easy accessible and important cultural background Information has been tested in the partner countries. The intercultural training course concept has formulated learning outcomes using ECVET criteria. The format of this training course is blended learning, consisting of an e-learning pathway and in-class-training. The blended learning training course was piloted and thoroughly evaluated to achieve a sustainable high quality output, which will be used in vocational training and further training of paramedics throughout Europe even after the project has ended. The results of the testing phase have been thoroughly evaluated. The results have been formulated in the policy recommendations to provide other stakeholders with a blueprint for intercultural competence training and the BICAS project's lessons learned and derived recommendations for the successful implementation of an intercultural competencies training. The goal of the training course is to achieve the willingness and ability to change perspective and put oneself in the place of people with migration history and different cultural identities references, putting own views into perspective and broaden social skills and abilities to work more efficiently. Gaining intercultural competencies is a process, which takes time and where the outcome is difficult to measure or to be estimated, since this is dependent on the willingness to integrate this knowledge into one’s own thinking and acting. However, through the BICAS training course and App paramedics will be enabled to competently handle difficult emergencies in an intercultural situation. Achievements of the project:- training course on intercultural competencies available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish- trainer handbook for in-class-training available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish- course curriculum available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish- BICAS App available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish- Emergency support dictionary within the BICAS App available in 11 languages- training course evaluation report available in English- App evaluation report available in English- training Course Guidelines & policy recommendations available in English, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish- implementation of intercultural competence training in initial and further education for paramedics by Johanniter Austria and Germany, and in Poland.
