"<< Background >>Based on the experiences of a previous KA1 project in the action ""Mobility of educational staff in adult education"", which was also evaluated as ""best practice"", the interest of both the previously participating organisations and additional partner institutions to actively participate in mobilities grew. The STVG sees its responsibility firstly to pick up on this interest, secondly to strengthen and expand it and thirdly to take concrete initiative to extend, deepen and strengthen the successful approaches to mobility in adult education of Styrian institutions. The request was made by all consortium partners to take on the role of coordinating an extended, broadened, deepening mobility project, The expansion of the consortium from 3 partner organisations to 8 in the present consortium proves the motivating effect of the previous project and the effectiveness of the communication and dissemination of the results. The STVG used this commitment and motivation to contribute to a sustainable strengthening of European mobility in the field of adult education with preparatory, organising and coordinating activities.<< Objectives >>In preparation for the application, the goals in the project were agreed upon together with all partner organisations. The overarching common approach in the consortium for the European exploration was the theme ""Analogue - Digital"". This aimed at improving innovative approaches to the use of digital, virtual, ICT methods in AE in connection with real experience in the living environments. This applies to methods for teaching and learning, but also for communicating in general, in management, training, of people, organisations, at local, regional, national, European, international level. The objectives were specified with regard to the needs and requirements of the institutions. Depending on the tasks of those involved in teaching and learning in AE, the objectives were formulated for guidance, for inclusion, for communication and for the innovative combination of traditional analogue methods with digital-virtual formats, in urban or rural environments, in the natural environment, etc. The objectives were to be achieved through the use of the AE tools. The aim was to make the knowledge gained usable both for the people involved in their field of activity and for the institutions at different levels of responsibility.<< Implementation >>The activities that had already been prepared and organised for March 2020 had to be postponed for the time being due to the pandemic and could only be carried out in part. Due to the different lock-down regulations in the participating countries as well as the travel and quarantine regulations, also caused by situations, illnesses and failures in sending and receiving organisations, mobilities could only take place in the extension period in May 2022.Specifically, 2 job shadowings were carried out (Sweden, May 2022, 7 persons; Stuttgart, May 2022, 3 persons) as well as one course (Berlin, May 2022, 4 persons). The sending organisations were STVG, Stadt Graz ABI and Amt für Jugend und Familie, NOWA, and Berg- und Naturwacht. Host organisations were Tomellila kommun, SE; VHV Baden-Württemberg, DE; Marco Schroeder | msc+, Berlin DE. Furthermore, the job shadowings for s'Hertogenbosch, NL March 2020 (6 pers.) Stuttgart March 2020 (12 pers.), November 2020 (6 pers.) were planned, organised, flights booked etc., but had to be cancelled at short notice due to lockdowns. The other planned activities could not take place for the reasons mentioned above.<< Results >>Even though the quantitative goals of activities and mobilities could not be achieved due to the pandemic, the 8 sending organisations with all participants as well as receiving organisations from 6 partner countries were intensively involved in coordination until the first lock-down in March 2020. The activities carried out - 2 job shadowings; 1 course - resulted in lasting impressions for all participants. In SE, good practice analogue and / or digital for reaching target groups in the population, partner organisations and with volunteers on communication and methodological skills should be highlighted. In Stuttgart, DE, the focus was on intensive networking in education and counselling as well as analogue and online counselling and innovative virtual services. In Berlin, DE, there was a high level of interest in teaching and learning in the urban environment, community education, analogue - digital and communication, cooperation, coordination. What all activities and mobilities had in common was that they led to rapid and intensive exchange both within and between the sending organisations and beyond.Insights and motivation for European engagement will remain effective."

"<< Background >>YSGE 3.0 was the internship abroad project for the entire vocational training in Styria, which offered Styrian students and apprentices the opportunity to complete an Erasmus+ funded internship abroad. With YSGE 3.0 we continued our Erasmus+ internship abroad projects YSGE 2.0 & YSGE, whose offers were very well received by Styrian young people, schools and companies.YSGE 3.0 aimed at getting as many Styrian young people as possible to embark on the ""adventure of an internship abroad"" and complete their compulsory or voluntary internship in a company or institution abroad. We were and are convinced that European practical experiences can contribute to increasing learning motivation in VET, to recognising the relevance of learning opportunities for one's own professional future and thus to increasing the educational success of young people. ""Last but not least, with YSGE 3.0 we aimed to promote the spirit of a common Europe among all participants, individuals, schools and institutions involved. Nothing promotes this understanding and a positive attitude more than personal experience.<< Objectives >>THE STVG PURSUED THESE GOALS WITH YSGE 3.0:- that the largest possible number of Styrian young people complete an internship abroad and strengthen their European awareness.- that the largest possible number of Styrian schools and companies can offer a supported internship abroad.- that the preparation for, the support during and the follow-up of the internship is optimal.- that Styrian schools and enterprises build and maintain European partnerships.- that with YSGE 3.0 there is a central Styrian Erasmus KA 1 project for all young people, for all BHS and all companies. GOALS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE: - Practical application of the acquired professional knowledge and skills abroad- Insights into new working methods and techniques and into new corporate cultures- Increased motivation of young people for further vocational training - Strengthening own initiative & entrepreneurial spirit - Improve foreign language skills - Strengthen intercultural competences- Strengthening social and personal competences- Building personal networks (friendships and employers) abroad - Increase opportunities in the labour market- Strengthen EU awareness<< Implementation >>We were able to achieve the YSGE results under the extremely challenging conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.YSGE 3.0 supported 350 young Styrians in their ""adventure abroad"": 297 pupils & 53 apprentices. These mobilities contributed to the European orientation of 31 Styrian schools and 27 Styrian companies. We motivated all these young people, their parents, their teachers and trainers of the companies and institutions to carry out their internship with all its challenges. One result of these internships was that from 2020 onwards, in times of ""distance schooling"" and ""distance working"", the young people worked in real life and in presence and also in a foreign country. YSGE 3.0 thus also helped these young people to strengthen and further develop their social and communication skills plus their intercultural skills through personal on-site experience. For all those young people who could not complete their internship because of COVID19, we were able to minimise their financial losses through the support of the EU and in cooperation with the National Agency: This prevented the development of negative feelings towards the EU.<< Results >>As our main activities, we supported 350 Styrian young people in their internships abroad:- Mobility of pupils: 297- Mobilities of apprentices: 53The mobilities were carried out by the participants as individual internships - the participants organised their internship themselves - or in a group internship organised by the STVG with its supporting foreign institutions. The apprentice mobilities were usually carried out as group placements. We were able to carry out the group mobilities for pupils and for apprentices to the planned extent in 2019 and from spring 2020 onwards through COVID-19 and related measures. As part of the preparation for the internships, we held our preparatory workshops for apprentices and students, as far as possible in presence and if necessary as an online conference. A highlight for our project was the ""Hello Europe"" preparatory workshop on 16.5.19 with around 70 participants and political VIPs and representatives of important stakeholders and partners.YSGE 3.0 also spread the Erasmus+ idea at the conference of the Styrian HAK directors on 7.3.19. on site or digitally at parents' evenings of different project schools."
