With this project we will address issues of rising tensions threatening the peace and stability in region of WB and EU by involving youth work in promotion and active participation in peacebuilding, solidarity, understanding and respect. What we have concluded as two important aspects of working with young people on peacebuilding is recognising them as huge potential in the transformation and using youth work practices as way to ensure sustainability and long-term impact of that work. Namely, youth work is one of the main mechanisms that, through its programs, can provide constant promotion of peacebuilding, solidarity, respect, and understanding, but also active involvement of young people in peacebuilding practice. Youth work brings change through diversity of its approaches and provides young people with space and empowerment to express. Youth workers are the key element of this process and they are the first to be addressed. They are ensuring active, systemic, and meaningful participation of youth in issues of peace and security is a demographic and democratic imperative. The main aim of this project is framework competence building which aims to support youth workers in innovation and creativity in developing peacebuilding education and practice within youth work and non-formal learning in Europe. Youth workers are the key element of this process and they are the first to be addressed.
