The following objectives have been outlined: 1) to create a foundation to build more caring, supportive and peaceful communities by developing the attitudes of empathy, compassion and solidarity in youth work 2) To support professional development of youth workers and improve the quality of youth work across Europe. In order to reach this objective, we will introduce youth workers with tools and strategies to effectively respond to the challenges of social issues in European youth work, especially concerning radicalization of youth and youth groups. This project will also create space to develop shared understanding to bring more trust, support and cooperation in local solidarity work, thus strengthening mutual support networks of individuals and organisations. 3) To facilitate personal development of the participants and their target groups. This project will provide a background for participants to develop their self-awareness, empathic communication and leadership skills well as understanding how wellbeing impacts the resilience and empowerment of youth, educators and organisations strengthening their ability to face the challenges emerging in their local communities. Participants will have a chance to experience these benefits for their own development and learn how to provide similar experience to young people and other youth workers 4) To provide impulse, know-how and networks for their organizations to create high impact activities. We believe that people and their choices are in the centre of every story of successful organization. Thus we explicitly work with enhancing skills of young people and creating opportunities for networking and further cooperation development whether in form of projects, knowledge exchange or mutual online support. With this course we would like to contribute to the improvement of professional competences of youth workers and educators, as well as improving youth workers and educators' compassionate leadership skills and abilities to make better connections with participants of their activities, with their colleagues and communities. Participants learned new methodologies based on work with body and movement, improved their toolkit with new approaches and at the same time enhanced their social and civic skills. Participants improved their leadership and teamwork skills, communication skills, including assertive and empathic communication, networking skills, ability to empathize and resolve conflicts, will learn how to inspire positive action, gain support of other people and institutions to their initiatives. Through dialogue, group and self-reflection, mindfulness, theater, voice work, bodywork, movement, dance and meditation participants learned from each other, develop the connection and open communication within the group. Our methodology is based on experiential learning, interdisciplinary exchange, embodied learning and non-formal education principles. Participants learned through testing their designed methods and reflecting upon the experience. With the new knowledge participants are able to suggest their organizations and target groups practices that help to build healthier, supportive and peaceful working environments and communities that foster innovation, inclusion and dialogue. As leaders, employees, or volunteers of partner organizations they are able to design new services, learning programs for young people, to facilitate learning process of others in a responsible, compassionate and efficient manner, which in turn will result in high quality innovative programs for youth in Europe. We hope that there will be more conversations around wellbeing, emotions, needs and compassion in youth work within these organizations and beyond. Since in order to create a strong civil society, we need organizations that are inclusive, resilient and able to welcome all kinds of people, offer them space to be understood, listened to and accepted. So that they are choosing democratic values over nationalism and radicalism.DAILY GRAPHIC HARVESTING: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vmL6x5e5X1Zzy4Q1haWGbTUQE21v3pYpBLOG BY PARTICIPANTS: https://compassioninaction.home.blog All Research products- arrow_drop_down - <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- document.write('<div id="oa_widget"></div>'); document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="https://beta.openaire.eu/index.php?option=com_openaire&view=widget&format=raw&projectId=erasmusplus_::a13bab594383af63b70fe692d9767766&type=result"></script>'); --> </script>For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.eu- more_vert All Research products- arrow_drop_down - <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- document.write('<div id="oa_widget"></div>'); document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="https://beta.openaire.eu/index.php?option=com_openaire&view=widget&format=raw&projectId=erasmusplus_::a13bab594383af63b70fe692d9767766&type=result"></script>'); --> </script>For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.eu

The population is isolated and faces a series of problems: lack of opportunities for professional development, difficult access to quality education and many other social services. One of the most vulnerable groups of inhabitants in rural areas is the youth, this is due to the many difficulties they face: limited job opportunities in different economic sectors, difficult access to information about existing start-up incentive policies and opportunities to apply for different European programs and in general a lack of awareness about possible support from the responsible institutions. Each territory has opportunities and comparative advantages that differentiate it from the others. The stimulation of active citizenship, combined with the provision of the necessary resources, will lead to the creation and development of small businesses and new initiatives in rural areas. Our organization detected the needs and problems of socially excluded young people in rural areas to whom this training is directed. These include:1. The lack of a common program and quality work methods for youth workers in relation to socially excluded and isolated young people.2. Lack of visibility and wide publicity of the best strategies and practices used to address the problem.3. The lack of effective methods to build joint partnerships between youth organizations and in particular, those that work with the target group.4. Lack of business focus for the use of resources in peripheral regions.5. Lack of knowledge of the digital tools available for working with young people. The objective of this TC has been to promote the active civic participation of youth workers and provide effective tools to encourage the inclusion of young people living in isolated regions of Europe. This objective corresponds directly to the policies and programs of the EU, aimed at guaranteeing equal opportunities for people living in rural areas. With the implementation of this project, our wish was to improve the sense of solidarity and tolerance of young people in the EU.The participation of youth workers from different countries has fostered intercultural dialogue focused on issues affecting people living in rural areas. The need for well-trained youth workers with strong knowledge, skills and opportunities in entrepreneurship and the lack of specific strategies for working with youth in rural communities, struggling with social obstacles, poverty and unemployment is a common and fundamental problem. . The TC was based on the specific needs of the participants and the organizations and was designed to reflect common problems in rural Europe.<< Implementation >>The training has been linked to building the capacity of youth workers who work or will work with young people from rural areas. The participants learned new techniques for working with young people, which included both face-to-face and digital work tools. Go Rural has been a Training Course that has been carried out in the municipality of Letur (Albacete), within the autonomous community ""Castilla-La Mancha"", which is one of the least developed regions in Spain. The target group for this TC proposal was youth workers who do or want to do their work with people in rural and suburban areas who struggle with challenges such as social exclusion, poverty and unemployment. The project involved 24 youth workers from 9 Program and Partner countries. IICL-International Initiatives for Cooperation Letur, through interactive methods of non-formal education, has contributed with this training to improve the business environment and stimulate innovative business-oriented thinking, mobilizing the intellectual potential of young people in rural areas.Supporting the acquisition of basic knowledge, skills and competences in the field of entrepreneurship is fully aligned with the key objectives of the Erasmus+ programme.Youth workers have been supported in the process of initiating and developing their own concerns, according to the details of the region in which they live.As an effective and sustainable method to achieve the objectives of the project, as well as the objectives of the Erasmus + program, IICL- International Initiatives for Cooperation Letur has offered workshops, role plays, debates, meetings with local and or regional entrepreneurs, presentations and others. Also a very important part of the course has been the work with digital tools, which youth workers have been able to use to increase participation opportunities for young people in remote areas, helping to recognize and promote the skills they obtain through activities to increase their employment and entrepreneurship possibilities. In the planned activities, innovative thinking, creativity and teamwork skills were encouraged, creating an environment conducive to sharing ideas and experiences.<< Results >>By the end of the project, 22 youth workers have been able to:- Develop different methods and tools to identify the needs of the target group in the context of the rural areas, highlighting non-formal educational approaches that facilitate the education of young people living in these areas.- Develop specific skills to plan, organize, direct and implement sessions with young people with less opportunities in rural areas. They have been able to learn how to develop a business manual in rural areas based on EntreComp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (2016), which is a selection of all the necessary competencies in the construction process of a young entrepreneur, identifying which are the basic qualities, knowledge and skills of each young person who wishes to develop their own business, what are the main steps and challenges in the construction process of a person with a successful business profile and what are the different phases and processes for grow and manage a new business.Impact on all project partners and according to their needs:- Opportunity for youth workers to be enriched with new tools in their work with the community local, taking advantage of the innovative methodologies learned from the project.- Develop cooperation with local institutions and companies that will contribute to the effective participation of concerned parties.- Understand the concepts of social inclusion, social entrepreneurship and intercultural awareness, developing activities with young people from rural areas."
