II” (lasting two years) carried out by a Mobility Consortium composed by FP Centers of the Valencian Community, which offer the GM degree in Clothing and Fashion, Aesthetics and Beauty and Hairdressing: IES Sivera Font (Coordinator), IES Serra Mariola, CIPFP Ciudad del Aprendiz, IES Francesc Tàrrega and IES La Vereda. To these are added the Spanish intermediary partner organization, Atheneajob and the Italian receiving organization, Essenia UETP, both with long experience in transnational mobility programs. The other partners in Italy have been: companies and schools that operate in the reference sectors of the project. The project has continued the previous “T.R.E.N.D.Y.” and has given the sector a new boost incorporating new ways of work. Following the guidelines of the previous project, which was considered an example of good practice by Sepie, TRENDY II has been addressed: 1) to students and recent graduates, and to their need to expand their practical experience, enhance their personal qualities by facing to a different environment than usual that makes them do their best to get the best out of themselves and thus know the satisfaction of personal autonomy, leave their city and country to the European framework to which belong and which will expand their professional horizons; 2) to teachers, to offer them the opportunity to renew and update their competences; 3) to schools, which are given the opportunity to update and enrich their training programs, pedagogical methods and the training of their staff and their students. The destination country selected for this purpose has been Italy, the cradle of fashion, personal care and styling and a benchmark in the sector. 62 mobilities have been carried out, 46 intended for students to carry out 4-week raineeship abroad (of these mobilities, due to Covid, 15 were suspended and continued and ended virtually; 1 was canceled and performed virtually); 5 aimed at recent graduates, who did the 4-week internship in companies in Italy; 11 mobilities to do job-shadowing aimed at teachers, who have spent 1 week in Italian companies/schools (of these, due to Covid, 5 were canceled and virtually performed). The virtual mobilities were organized in a short time and successfully, thanks to the commitment and active collaboration between the Consortium, and the host partners and the host companies/schools in Italy that proved availability to take to virtual mobility. The impact on the Consortium has been: Improvement of the ability to organize and manage international activities with local and foreign partners, as well as the ability to solve problems, due to the need to face the Covid emergency, identifying immediate and ad hoc solutions (eg. virtual mobility), which had a positive impact on the development of digital skills of all participants, whose mobility was affected by Covid; consolidation of alliances with VET institutes, companies, expansion of the network of European contacts; strengthening of internationalization strategies; Increase in the number of participants in transnational activities. The results will be added to those of the previous project: improvement of the training offer in the Valencian Community that will mean a long-term boost to the Fashion, Aesthetics and Hairdressing sector. The impact on students and recent graduates have been the strengthening of: soft skills (relational, communicative, organizational, problem solving), technical, intercultural and digital; improvement of practical and operational skills. Knowledge of: other job markets and the Italian language; familiarization with the Italian socio-cultural context, which has increased the sense of European citizenship; updating and integrating the CV with new skills and experiences. The impact on teachers was: improvement of technical, professional, digital and intercultural skills; updating of pedagogical, didactic and working skills; development of Italian language skills; growth of the sense of European identity; improving the knowledge of the value of lifelong learning, practices, policies and systems of VET in Italy; Improved ability to interact with colleagues and foreign organizations to plan collaborative activities."

The T.R.E.N.D.Y. project (Trends in dressmaking, design and beauty), is about pushing the sector, moving it closer to the European market, to make it possible to incorporate knowledge, materials, trends, working methods and any other innovations. It is mainly focused on the students and their need of increasing their hands-on experience. It also aims to promote their personal skills via self development by letting them face different environments and get the best out of themselves; they will harvest the fruits from their efforts and achieve personal autonomy. Getting them out of their country will help students to place themselves in an European context and to expand their professional horizons. It is also focused on vocational education schools by offering them the opportunity to update and enrich their vocational programs, their pedagogical methods and the qualifications of their teachers. The destination selected with this purpose is Italy, cradle of fashion, personal care and styling and referent of the sector. Two mobility activities are defined:1. Student mobility for placement in companies abroad. Focussed on the following two groups of students that will carry out a 4-week placement: - just graduated: 23 grants are requested for students to carry out their placement within 12 months of their graduation; no later than September to allow them to continue higher degree studies. - students on 2nd course: 27 grants are requested for students who will carry out this placement in March, such that these 4 weeks will be the first ones of his obligatory FCT. 2. Mobility for training teachers. 3 grants are requested for teachers in the sector of professional training in textiles and fashion (GM en Confección y Moda) to learn from teachers in a similar vocational education school in Italy for 1 week, and 3 grants for teachers of GM Aesthetics and Beauty (GM Estética y Belleza) to learn in a Companies in Italy as Job-shadowing for 1 week.In the project development stage, members of the consortium meet to define the project and to introduce it to the students and teachers of every school. The mobility stage needs meticulous preparation and an exhaustive follow-up from the consortium. In the final dissemination stage, every school announces its results, and works at internal level to incorporate the lessons learned to the methodology and training contents of the school. For all this activities, the consortium has defined the following network:- Consortium Coordinator: IES Sivera Font acts as consortium coordinator; it centralizes the management of the project, relationship between partners, calendar of activities for pre and post-mobility, as well as for placements (mobilities), trip organization, dissemination seminars, etc..- Sending partners: IES Siver Font, IES Serra Mariola and CIPFP Ciutat de l'Aprenent will send participants of the professional degree on fashion and textiles (GM en Confección y Moda) and CIPFP Ciutat de l'Aprenent and IES Francesc Tàrrega will send participants of the professonal degree on Aesthetics and Beauty (GM en Estética y Belleza). Every centre is individually responsible of publishing the summons of grants, selecting its participants and of the assignment of grants according to previously published common criteria. During the mobility, the person in charge of every school will realize a follow-up of the placement development.- Intermediary hosting partner: Essenia, with its experience in training and in European mobility projects, will contact the consortium and Italian hosting partners, will collaborate in the assignment of companies according to the profile of every student and it will carry out an exhaustive follow-ups of the placement development. They offer daily support both to students and teachers on mobility.- Hosting partners: ISSIS ""GB. Novelli"" Marcianise is a vocational education school with degree in textiles and fashion, will host teachers on job-shadowing and will contact the consortium with well-known companies working in this sector; And companies as La Fonte del Benessere di Pulignano Ilaria will receive our participants of the professional degree on Aesthetics and Beauty. The expected mid and long term results are, in summary, from one side the integration of the students in the European market via upskilling and improving their personal and professional development; and in the other side, the improvement of vocational educational training offer in the the Valencian Autonomous Community; leading to a long term in boost in both sectors (textil and Fashion and Aesthetics and Beauty)."
