How young people are not sufficiently represented in the political sphere, during the youth exchange we put them to research where they can express themselves, their problems and desires. During the youth exchange, in a intercultural and creative environment was the best place were we enable young people to participate in debates and local community development and give them a chance to express themselves using art.Since today more young people are ready to participate in politics and decision making in their local communities. All they need is an opportunity to make them actively participate directly in their communities. There are many different ways to make their voices heard today, however not all young people are aware of it or think of it as an option. Also many youngsters who have a disadvantage due to their place do not have enough space, viewers and courage to introduce their arts and express their identities and cultures. In particular, young people from rural areas, with a limited number of organizations, have fewer opportunities to participate in social life and to express their messages on social and cultural issues. Young people need the opportunity to develop the skills and competences which help them to find their place in decision making in communities. And for this PaintEra youth exchange was a good opportunity for the young people to learn and practice: how to participate in politics and decision making in their local communities, how to actively participate directly in their communities, how to make their voices heard today, how to to introduce their creativity and artistic skills and express their identities and cultures. After more discussion with the project partners we decided that during the youth exchange we need to create the space where young people can express their opinion, attitudes and voices in social, cultural and political matters, in a different way. For this we gave to the young people the opportunity to use their creativity and capacity to express themselves in an artistic and innovative way, through street art and graffiti. The main goal of the youth exchange was to empower young people to become active citizens in their local communities. We wanted to raise awareness of the importance of participating in public debates and raising the voice of young people. And we aimed to reach this goal in a creative and funny way. We wanted to make the young participants to be aware of their ability to show themselves by street art and graffiti. The objective of the project were: - to give young people an opportunity to perform, formulate and express their voices and messages in an artistic and creative way that suits them; graffiti is a main tool but not only,- to develop more initiatives in the field of Erasmus+ and art, cultural diversity and youth participation in the social life issues within the framework of the Erasmus + program,- to increase knowledge of the participants about active participation, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and also as special focus to recycling and social inclusion,- to increase the young people’s abilities in taking part in public debates and creating the space in their local communities. The project contributed to improve the level of key competences and skills of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, to promote participation in active citizenship, labor market, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity; developing more synergies and interactions between formal, non-formal and informal learning, putting stronger focus on European added values.<< Implementation >>During the project we implemented 2 events: 1.
