Indeed, crafts and companies are dealing more and more with international exchanges and facing a multinational competition, for both professionals and production technics. Qualifications and skills are therefore need to be updated. In order to move on that direction, it is primordial to provide each apprentice with the possibility to be trained and to work on a European level. Les Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France which train apprentices and young professional, by traveling, community living and knowledge transmissions, have always had a strong commitment to European mobility programmes. Long-term mobility projects have always existed in our Association. It is part of our specific professional training “Le Tour de France” to have a one-year experience abroad. So far, almost 7400 of our young graduated have already benefitted from such an amazing experience.Since 2004, more than 17350 apprentices have therefore benefitted from a 3 weeks mobility project in European Union, owing to our trusted partners, in any of our trades (industry, construction, building, baking, leather and textiles trades). Driven by our strong desire to institutionalize the mobility project abroad for our apprentices, we have mention the European mobility period into the training program for all our level 4 apprentices, under the framework agreement signed in 2009 with our ministry of National education. Thanks to Erasmus + agreement for 2017-2019, we exceed our objectives and financed mobility for 1222 apprentices in gathered mobility projects together with their class and their trade teacher (107 teachers in total); 152 young professionals gone for a one-year individual mobility; 8 post-apprentices who went abroad from 6 to 12 months in order to continue their apprenticeship; 39 young participants in a 2 weeks technical training and 4 staff members, gone for a job shadowing or a training. The enhancement of the quality of our project is owing to the pedagogical projects developed by our trainers and hosting partners, who suggest a precise program compatible with the specificities of the host country. This approach is necessary as mobility period are included in our training programs in France and comforts also the employers of our apprentices, worried about this mobility project abroad of their employee. Indeed, the project allowed our participants to acquire professional, language, intercultural and cross-disciplinary skills. Indeed, apprenticeship and trades are different from one country to another. Travelling is also a way to develop its adaptability and flexibility, two qualities required in the labor market. Our partners involved in our projects are training organizations, companies and intermediate organisms in 23 countries. Mobility is more and more recognized in those countries; therefore most of the previous work placements are renewed year after year. Years of experience with our partners allow us to organize those projects in mutual trust and prepare at best each participant for his mobility. Each apprentice’s mobility has been validated and recognized through a Europass, and for our post-apprentices, their skills and competences are highlighted on our online pedagogical platform “Aquisav”. With the mod-term puropose of using ECVET system, our partners already signed the “Memorandum of Understanding”. For this project, the International Service has maintained relationships with partners and developed new partnerships, ensured the administrative and financial monitoring of the fellowships, created necessary tools to help pedagogical teams. The service also helped their training centers in France for organizing the gathered mobility projects if needed and they supported young professional going abroad for one year (individual mobility) and the ones who were following a 2-weeks technical training. This ambitious project couldn’t have been organized without the considerable investment of our staff members involved, in particular educational staffs and trainers, for which we are very grateful.

We will focus on several objectives:- The acquisition of new professional practices, both technical and educational.- Open-mindedness to the world and to the others- Become more autonomous and mature- Experiencing a unique mobilitySeveral profiles of participants would participate to this project:-first of all, the students and apprentices from the MFR of Franche-Comté. Most of them are preparing a BTEC National with different specializations: agriculture, management of the fauna and flora, landscape labour, horticultural and forest labour, care services. We will also have some students specialized in services who prepare a NVQ or are pre-apprentices.-Some members of the MFR staff: 20 people, most of them are teachers.-members of the board of directors: the board of directors is composed of parents from all the MFR. Their role is highly important for the management of our associations. The 20 members who would participate will have a “political” objective: spread the development of our associations in Europe to create more partnerships. -Tutors and professionnals. We would like to find 10 people who would participate, their objective would be more focused on professional practices, the transmission of their know-how and their experience.-newly graduated students: we would like to offer to 10 of our freshly former students who have just passed their diploma to participate. The youth information center of Franche-Comté is a partner of this project to send other young adults outside the MFR network to have an 3-month internship in Europe. We can all notice that it will be a unique opportunity for some of our students to travel abroad. A majority can’t travel with their families for economical reasons. Moreover, 80% of our students live in rural areas and stay attached to their territory. The activities planned will be mainly focused on a professional internship in a company. They will be defined according to the professional sector. Cultural and historical visits could also be done during their free time. The participants would so open to other cultures, other realities, other traditions. In order to manage the project, a consortium was created. Several training centers work together and gather theirs methods and practices. The Regional Federation of the Franche-Comté MFR runs the project. Many coordination meetings have been set up to follow up the project. The sharing out of the tasks has been organized in order to allow each sending school to focus on the participants.Through this experience, we hope that the participants will acquire a different approach of Europe, of other cultures. They will hopefully discover and use other professional practices, and therefore, develop their technical and linguistic skills. There will be important impacts on the individual themselves, on the sending institution and surely on a regional and even national level. The school will next organize some talking spaces and events to put forward the experiences and newly acquired skills. It will be open to all, so everyone would be able to judge and enjoy the values of such a project. Many public meetings will be organized through the region with a special award event to give Europass to the participants. The regional Federation takes part to national workshops, and we are presently working on new other and more strategic projects in order to emphasize the impact, and make new specific projects for each participant

SS SOCIETA AGRICOLA,PARACHE VincentFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2015-1-FR01-KA102-013565Funder Contribution: 131,864 EURThe title of our project is « leave and open your eyes on the others with Erasmus + ». We had several objectives that we have achieved :-Allow the acquisition of new professional practice, both technical and educational.-Open oneself to the world and to the others.-Become more mature.-Live a unique mobility experience.Yet, we had to make important adaptations to the project. First, we were on a side list and the amount of the grant we obtained was much lower than what we had asked, then we obtained some remainders that we tried to use the best we could. Some schools (MFR) chose to send less pupils abroad, others were reoriented towards other current projects (2016 budget).Several schools (MFR) and partners took part in the project : Fougerolles, Montbozon, Chargey-lès-Gray, Vercel and Amange, as well as the Franche-Comté’s CRIJ (Youth Information Regional Centre). Aillevillers and Les Fins schools have the 2016 budget.Several kinds of people took part in the project :-First, the pupils, vocational apprentices and trainees (young qualified). Most of them will be in the second year of A- Level in different professional fields : agriculture, landscaping, horticulture, people and territories services. All in all, more than 82 learners will do a workplacement abroad. -Some MFR employees : 32 people, mainly instructors (MFR’s teachers). -Some trustees. They are parents who have been elected at the board of directors of the different schools. They play an important role in our associations’ management. The 7 leaving trustees will put the project in the heart of the association’s development. They either did a workplacement , or accompanied pupils.-New graduates. We offer workplacements to the pupils who have just got their degree and who have studied in our schools. The Youth Information Regional Centre of Franche-Comté is part of the project to allow other young people, outside our schools, to benefit from a post-diploma workplacement. We have only managed to send 2 young people, which is disappointing. For many young people, mobility was probably a unique opportunity to travel in Europe. Many of them have few opportunities to travel with their families who have limited financial means. On the other hand, about 80% come from a rural area, and remain strongly attached to their territories, they sometimes have important prejudices against other cultures. The project has allowed young people to change their minds on different subjects such as racism and discrimination in general. The activities mostly consisted in a vocational workplacement. The contents were established according to the different professional fields. The young pupils also made cultural visits when they were not at work. So the participants could open themselves to other cultures, other realities, other customs…In order to manage this project, we created a consortium. 9 schools work together so as to have mutual practices. The Regional Federation of Maisons Familiales Rurales in Franche-Comté manages the project. Several coordination meetings took place all along the course of the project. We have shared the tasks out in order to allow the sending schools to prepare the pupils as well as possible. Thanks to this project, the participants have had another view of Europe and other cultures. They have benefited from other approaches and professional practices, and they could improve their linguistic knowledge and above all their English, which is not always easy for learners in vocational schools. We can already assess the project’s impact on several levels : individual, in the sending school, at the regional and even national level. All schools have allowed the trainees to express themselves on their experiences and on their acquired skills. These accounts were often made in public, in order to allow as many people as possible to learn about the impact of such a project. We organized several meetings in the region, especially a Europass-giving ceremony that was also, this year, a mobility forum, seven outside partners were present. The Regional Federation is also part of a national work group, and we are currently working on other more strategic projects in order to have a lasting impact and to have other projects for each beneficiary.
