The Project has brought together the University of León and ten Vocational Training Centres (Centros de Formación Profesional de Grado Superior), with the objective of encouraging vocational training for its students in European companies within their academic field. The Consortium, which represents a population of over 20,000 students, has created a common working structure, allowing flexibility, reduction of red tape, efficient resource management, to cover the needs of its members with regard to the field of vocational training at a European level.Twenty-five placements, 13 of students and 25 of recent graduates, have been organised – fewer than the number requested, owing to various difficulties that arose in the management of the project. The first of these was a result of the short time the project has been in existence, in that for the first half of its 24-month life the project overlapped with the previous version. In addition to this, an unplanned interruption to the project’s activity occurred at the end of June 2016, when the technician in charge of the project had to be replaced while on leave. Finally, the decline in the economic support that the participants receive has made it difficult to find candidates who fulfill the requirements and who are able to accept difficult economic conditions. The main activities that have been carried out are:•The programme’s dissemination through a dedicated webpage, the coordinating Consortium’s social networks, member organisations' international communication networks, posters, and a weekly promotional broadcast on the Cope León station, giving information about the programme and the offers available throughout the project.•The search and selection of receiving organisations: FGULEM counts on a wide experience of the management of international programmes, on the basis of which it maintains good relations with a wide range of European organisations with which it has previously collaborated. In addition to this, a new network of business contacts has also been set up.•Recruitment of candidates on the part of the Consortium’s members.•Preparation of placements.•Management of placements.•Integrated continuous support on a range of questions affecting students: travel, accommodation, living conditions, etc.•Accreditation of placements.•Technical and economic implementation.Despite not having reached quantitative targets, we feel that we have indeed reached qualitative ones, and that the project has had a highly positive impact on both its participants as well as on the receiving organisations and the members of the Consortium. We are convinced that this experience will represent a great difference in the students’ professional itineraries, since in addition to the professional skills acquired during the placement programme, they have been able to develop their linguistic skills, along with their capacity to deal with new situations. The success of two of the participants, who were offered contracts of employment in their placement organisations, should be underlined. The receiving organisations, for their part, have enhanced their activity through having been able to count on the support of trained students with international experience and knowledge of languages. For the members of the Consortium, the Project has had a very positive impact through fulfilling its mission of fostering students’ employability and international development.

The starting point that made us enroll in this project was our willingness to enhance the European dimension of our school, acquire new teaching methodologies and improve the school leadership. However, our internationalization started a few years ago when our school took part in two Comenius programmes between 2011 and 2015, which laid the foundations for new experiences and gave us the opportunity to get to other teaching methodologies first-hand. Together with this European plan, the analysis carried out prior to the beginning of this project showed that a change was needed in terms of coexistence and lowering of school dropout. Taking this context into account, we realized that these difficulties could be sorted out if we adopted different ways of management and embrace other methodologies, which have been proved enough in other European countries, such as Poland and Czech Republic. In addition to this, we have got in touch with both schools because we are sure that they will provide extra help and a different view in order to achieve the objectives involved in this project. Bearing all this in mind, these facts have let us deal with a European project which fosters the following objectives: - To decrease school dropout. - To improve school coexistence. - To contribute to boost motivation in our students. - To promote the use of ICT in the school as well as update our teaching methodologies. - To encourage international relationships. - To discover new ways of managing and organizing a school. All the participants taking part in the project show a high motivation and a total engagement to the ideas behind this European program and they are eager to improve the school context through a constant educational training and a critical reflection on their educative experiences. Furthermore, they actively participate in several innovative and educative programmes like “Observa-Acción” and “Escuela de Investigadores”. All of them teach their subjects in English, namely English Language, Biology and Geology, Physics and Chemistry and Maths. Apart from that, they somehow collaborate in the school management and organization working was tutors, head of studies and headmistress. Since their main aim is to get better and better in all their educational fields, they will be attending structural courses and doing job shadowing tasks, which will allow them to bring all their previous knowledge up to date from a theorical and practical view. Before starting our project we will analyze the situation of the school to determine the most relevant needs. We will compare this data with the data obtained in the middle and last stages of the project so we can assess the impact of this kind of actions. We expect these courses and job shadowing experiences to result in an improvement of our school, so all the community can benefit from the project. The teachers involved in this project will share their knowledge with the rest of the staff so they can all take advantage of the latest innovations in teaching. Moreover, the school will benefit at the managerial level since new methods of improving efficiency will be learned. The observation of different ways of organizing the school will give us the opportunity for reflecting upon our own system and procedures at school so we can readjust whatever aspects may be found faulty. All this will lead to a better model in teaching and learning, which will subsequently result in diminishing the percentage of school drop-out. This will enhance our student´s ability to continue studying and attaining better perspectives for the future, as the European Framework for Education 2020 requires. The visits to different educational institutions will offer us the possibility of establishing long term relations with other European schools so we can organize student exchange programs in the short run. This will promote the school at the European level and will enable our students to boost their interest in foreign languages, which is also one of the objectives of the EU´s Strategic Framework for Education 2020.

It is a city focused on the development of tourism and education. It lies in an agricultural region, poorly industrialized, located about 70 km from the eastern border of Poland. The ""Learn to Learn"" project was implemented by the School Complex / Primary School No. 3 in Zamość, which is a public educational institution bringing together students from 6 to 16 years of age from various environments. Civilization development brings new challenges. The answer is e.g. improving the digital and linguistic competences of staff, improving the skills of working with students with new methods and techniques, contact between teaching staff and other schools, including European ones, and exchanging experience with their n-las, thus increasing the mobility of teachers and students . The school aims to provide students with a European dimension of education, i.e. a large number of hours of foreign languages, cultural experience and the development of their European and international openness. We achieve these goals, by using modern teaching methods and techniques, improving the qualifications of the teaching staff, developing language and intercultural competences and by cooperating with schools from other countries. Actions taken in this direction are aimed at improving the quality of school work. They also contribute to strengthening the professional profile of the teaching staff. To achieve these goals, teachers take part in various trainings and courses (including the operation of the eTwinning platform), introduce innovations, implement projects with POKL and Erasmus +. We have now completed the project, which planned participation in foreign courses, introducing new technologies, and observing classes at schools in Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Estonia, teachers, mobility participants watched how innovative teaching methods and new technologies are used in practice. The main activities were preceded by preparatory activities - conversational classes in English and cultural studies seminars, 11 teachers benefited from various courses abroad, and 20 teachers took part in job shadowing. In addition to participating in classes that developed their competence in the field of methods, tools and technologies used at work didactic, they improved their knowledge of English, made contacts with teachers from other countries, exchanged courses and Job shadowing with their didactic experiences, developed an openness to other cultures and the need for European integration. This has strengthened their position in the environment and at the same time increased their own activity. It increased their mobility. Higher qualifications of project participants have an impact on the quality of our facility's work. They encourage other school staff to learn foreign languages, introduce new teaching methods, and use the latest technologies. They dare other teachers to use the opportunities created by such projects and trips. Project activities were monitored in terms of the implementation of the project schedule and the quality of its implementation, and finally evaluation was carried out. Products were disseminated inside the school and through local media."

We strive to be a modern school with modern teaching methods such as CLIL or project teaching. The implementation of the project expanded the team of teachers using the CLIL method, the involved teachers improved their existing teaching practice using this method. By participating in the project, everyone involved has improved their language skills and has the opportunity to share their own experiences with colleagues from other European countries. The project participants were fully qualified teachers across subjects with different lengths of practice. The primary activities within the project were the participation in specialized courses (methodology of teaching a foreign language, methodology of teaching CLIL, methodology of project teaching, language courses, use of ICT in education). Jobshadowing at partner schools focused on CLIL teaching and English language teaching. In the home school the CLIL method was trained by pedagogues with practice and subsequently the language showers were prepared or realized in selected general subjects - mathematics, biology, social sciences and geography. At the end of the project, the conference presented individual mobilities as well as practical outcomes in the form of good practice examples. These are also part of the created handbook. The long-term impact of the project is a change in the School Education Programme, a change in the concept of project teaching, making the teaching more effective and more attractive. The impact will be on current and future students and on teachers throughout the school. Spreading the project through the media, but mainly through students and their parents will have a much wider impact, even after the project has ended.
