The project realized with the groups from Turkey, Lithuania and Italy in total with 23 young people. The aim of the activities are to do it in a frame of aim and objectives. In our era, even though through science and technology increases the avarage living age, according to World Health Association 1,9million people dies because of stillness (not enough movement). For that reason, the union has made a call to member countries to importance of this matter, and suggested that the for adults 30minutes and for children 60minutes activity is needed at least. And the best way is to have this habit from the childhood. When we look at our country we can see that sports culture is not existing, and it's not in most people's daily lifes. We tried reaching the World Health Union's suggestion by creating awareness, working on this subject, and reach as many people as possible with the power of sports in our country starting from Antakya. Our aim was to convey sports to every level from different social, economic, cultural, and age level and to create a culture of sports in our lifes to have healthy generations and community in the future."

In doing so we aim at transforming those disadvantaged, incomplete, lacking or irrelevant majority to a productive majority that will make a significant contribution to Turkey’s development while capturing world standards. In addition to this, promoting the social life standards and the life quality of these groups. And as a conclusion, helping the raise of awareness across the country to being a community of knowledge. ‘’ Our will to carry out this project is derived from our needs listed below: Our issues: 1) The lack of human resource; since we can’t operate with professional employees, we are doomed to postpone a lot of beneficial work that we do in the favors of the disabled to a future date. 2) We don’t have any additional income except for the monthly dues that our members provide. We need a new source of budget due to the majority of our members not paying their dues on time. This puts forward that we need to work more on our human resources, project development, forming ties with collaborators outside the country and knowledge through projects, and the improvement of our knowledge and skills. We set out from these needs when registering to the EVS ( European Voluntary Service ) and while preparing this project. In this project of ours, based on our association’s needs of developing international projects, becoming a member of networks , and a more efficient human resources (PR) practice, we put together our offer for our demand of 4 long term EVS Volunteers. Our project will be put into action between the dates of 01.10.2017-30.06.2018 and we will try our best to meet the goals of our project together with the 4 EVS Volunteers. The project Border´s Food is committed to cultural and gastronomical sharing by learning social customs through cooking and eating together with all of the participants and their cultures. Through this method of exchange we share cultural experiences, stories, traditions, etc.., that encourage companionship, empathy, the exposure to and understanding of new cultures, and the destructions of xenophobic and racist barriers that are built into society, family, and other social agents. Within this project we hope to create a specific exchange with an alternative program based on family style meals in schools or communities in which guests of different nationalities breakdown labels, prejudices and behavior that promote cultural separation based on language or ethnicity. We hope to do this through the simple action of eating typical dishes from different places once a week to facilitate a relaxed discussion and exploration. Food of Borders will take place in province of Catania in the capital of the same name from October 22 to October 30, 2016 with 45 participants from 6 different countries: Turkey, Greece Germany, Italy, Spain, and Lithuania. We aim for participants between 18 and 30 years old, preferably from rural areas, immigrants in some cases, with skepticism about the current social environment, an open mind, experience and enthusiasm for team work and collaboration, and a drive to improve local participation in the work place for the inclusion of the immigrant population. Our methods in all the activities will be based on an environment for give and take education in which we share experiences, values, customs, and behavior. The learning style will not just be through language but will be realized in all of our actions, emotions, and attitudes that develop as we explore and absorb new habits, understandings, and points of view: what we continue to call non formal education. The activities will include: Group Dynamics, presentations and discussions, Simulation games and workshops, cultural games and icebreakers, round table discussions, speakers, meetings, cultural excursions, Cultural Nights for every country, energizers, and other ideas and suggestions that come up as we move forward. We will have an extensive orientation to the exchange and the themes that we are exploring, as well as presenting the Erasmus Plus program the K3 program. We are very interested in channeling future ideas and movements around the theme of this project and the exposure to real life situations with respect to racism through collaborative efforts with experienced organizations and programs in the field, such as “Casa Famiglia Rosetta.” The project has a clear multiplier effect on all levels, beginning with the selection of participants as they gather information about relative percentages of immigration in their political and social communities, percentages of incidents of racist violence or aggression, discrimination, or xenophobia, stereotypes and labels, etc… This should help them orient and engage in their own surroundings and inspire them to do their part in their own local environments. The activities will encourage contact with the local population to inform and share with them about the Erasmus Plus program and other efforts related to this exchange, for example a cookbook of the culture of food in all the countries represented by the participants “Recipes of the World” as a tool for sharing culture and inclusion. Finally, one of the objectives of the exchange is to develop strategies for political change and institutional intervention for the inclusion of minorities, and for this the multiplier effect as well as being conscientious is crucial. There are countless social groups, organizations, participants, and communities who will benefit from the results of changing perspective, labels, preconceived prejudices, mistaken educational systems, etc… These benefits will be realized through the presentation, to both public and private groups, of two effective and original projects created during this exchange: “A Million Ways to Eat” to encourage the eradication of racist conduct in local environments, and the publication of “Recipes of the World.”

The Expert Group on Quality of Youth work has produced a common framework for further developments in this field of action. Based on the recommendation of the Expert Group the EEOB-Project’s main objective is to contribute to the enhancement of quality of youth work in the specific field of racism and violence behaviours, antidemocratic, nationalistic and populistic tendencies among youth, in particular in the eastern European countries. This approach sees tight entanglement with a second priority of the European Strategy for Youth which promote social inclusion. This project operated therefore on the basis of the Paris Declaration of the EU Commission of the 17th March 2015. While the more intolerant and group-oriented violence behaviour in recent years has been directed toward vulnerable group such refugees and immigrants, the roots of such behaviour can be also observed to be directed to members of the same culture or society who show unconventional customs and (sexual) preferences. By all differentiations to be made, obstacles for social inclusion can be found in a particular mind-set, a traditional fear of the “others” and a perceived menace to the belonging culture. The rational of this project was therefore derived by the arisen antidemocratic, racist and nationalistic movements of the last years within Europe. Thus, by tackling intolerance and promoting European democratic values among youth, this project intended to contribute not only to enhancement of quality in youth work but also to a more cohesive and inclusive society. Main objectives were: a) Establish interdisciplinary / internationally usable qualification concepts for the pedagogical tackling of democracy-defying attitude such as racism and neo-Nazism, homosexual discrimination and violence behaviour toward minorities and subcultures. b) youth work’s European organizations are in a position to implement their own concepts and to qualify specialists (youth workers) for the thematic areas, thereby contributing to the reduction of racism, anti-Islamism, homophobia and other refusal structures. The methodology applied to reach these objectives consisted in activities and products for develop and strength a human rights-oriented, professional attitude of specialists as well as their knowledge of democracy, racist and gender related discrimination, social power relations and origin, culture and gender as structural categories of society. A further step in the methodology consisted in linking different forms of discrimination and rejection, making the interrelations between sexist and homophobic attitudes, as well as the racist images of gender and the connections between racism and sexism visible. Here the elements of awareness, interconnection, spill-over and general attitude grounded the methodological approach. The methodology applied in EEOB offers the opportunity for the creation of individual design of activities. Implementation of this methodology resulted in following outputs: 1) a qualification concept for youth workers in dealing with democratically promoting measures in the field of prevention of racism, homophobia and other refusals as well as the inclusive measures for refugees and migrants; 2) conceptual materials for actions and processes for the individual design of activities to promote democratic understanding, inclusive attitudes and dismantling of racism, violent radicalism and general discrimination. The project EEOB provided a bespoke and innovative qualification concept that addresses a wide range of skills which are both relevant to youth workers and youngsters. Dissemination activties such as three multiplier events (target groups: youth workers, students of social work, employees and stakeholder in administration of public services and schools) have being implemented during the 18 month. Tests of the material were run during projekt's activties of the partners. EEOB directly addressed at least 1000 people (YW and marginalized youngsters in seven EU countries). Its long term general impact is intended to go far beyond this number in the coming years through the use of IO1 and IO2 by other associations and trainers. Most relevant impact was directed toward organisations of Youth work, quality of their work, implementation of innovative methods and design for training course and activties. A long term impact on youngster’s attitude toward different culture and subcultures is targeted. In this regard the biggest impact has being intended to be on local and regional level. The english version and the translations of the two IOs in seven languages will ensure their usage on european scale. EEOB wants to contribute to a positive general dynamics in the european society and among stakeholders toward political awareness, social inclusion and tolerance.
