Global values and internationalisation has a prominent role in the vision and strategy document of Linnaeus University (Lnu). Internationalisation and international cooperation are also essential for all the partner university in this project; Russian-Armenian University (RAU), University of Tunis El Manar (UTM) and Université Cadi Ayyad (UCA). An important tool within internationalisation in higher education is mobility, and this project facilitated mobility for both students and staff. There were only incoming students to Lnu in this project, while staff mobility was in both directions. All the partner institutions had previous cooperation experiences, in various forms, with Lnu and this action seemed to be a natural step to continue promote cooperation activities. The majority of the students studied on undergraduate- and graduate level, but there were also two PhD-students. For most of the students this was their first international experience. Besides the new academic knowledge gained, the students improved their intercultural understanding and other transversal skills. Students experienced new learning methods, e.g. peer learning by discussions and defense of their academic work. There were both academic and administrative staff mobility in both directions. For RAU staff mobility focused on professional training for library staff, since RAU has a vision to become a leading university library in their region. For UTM the staff mobility (teaching and training) was outgoing from Lnu, while the staff mobility with UCA was incoming (teaching) to Lnu. Besides teaching the participants used the mobility period to plan and follow-up current and future student mobility as well as other cooperation activities in education and research. Both institutional and departmental administrative and academic coordinators have been actively involved in implementing the project, both at Lnu and at the partner institutions. Students have also helped out in sharing experiences and preparing future students going on mobility. This project has helped all partners to increase their capacity in international cooperation, in the regions of the host institutions for Lnu and in Europe for the host institutions. Previous PhD mobility has in the project resulted in STA mobility, as well as joint research activities. Both students and staff have strengthen their international network within this project. The staff training between Lnu and RAU has a clear purpose which will have long-term benefits. Most of the individual mobilities will not have a wider impact in itself, but collectively they will help the home institution to reach its goals and vision and the wider society to develop.

Global values and internationalisation has a prominent role in the vision and strategy document of Linnaeus University (Lnu). Internationalisation and international cooperation are also essential for all the partner university in this project; Ilia State University (ISU) in Georgia and University of Tunis El Manar (UTM) in Tunisia. In their strategy documents the institutions strive for increased visibility and international cooperation in order to enhance quality in education and research. An important tool within internationalisation in higher education is mobility, and this project facilitated mobility for both students and staff. There were only incoming students to Lnu in this project, while staff mobility was conducted in both directions. Both partner institutions had previous experiences in cooperation, in various forms, with Lnu and this action seemed to be a natural step to continue promote cooperation activities and build capacity in international cooperation. The students from UTM studied at master level. For most of the students this was their first international experience. It was not only a new culture to adapt to but also new learning methods, e.g. peer learning by discussions and defense of their academic work, which gave new perspectives in their academic subject area. There were both academic and administrative staff mobility in both directions.xThe cooperation with UTM focused on mathematic, and research education and master level education within mathematics. Because of a reorganization at UTM, not all student mobility grants were utilized. Instead additional staff mobility could be implemented, which opened up possibilities for further academic staff with different focus areas to participate. New contacts were taken and new collaborations were initiated. The cooperation with ISU focused on teacher training in technology education, therefore visits and guest lecturing in schools were included in staff mobility in both directions. Ideas about future cooperation within other Erasmus+ actions were also developed. Thanks to active participation from both parties, the grants could be utilized in a productive way which also included different professions. The project has also opened up for research cooperation and joint publications. Both students and staff have strengthened their international networks and improved transversal skills. Most of the individual mobilities will not have a wider impact in itself except for personal growth, but collectively they will help the home institution to reach its goals and vision and the wider society to develop.
