"Created on the initiative of the Regional council of Ile de France in 2010, the program "" Eurostart "" is based largely on the program Erasmus + in conformance with the mobility of the learners of the vocational training, on the National Employment Agency “Pôle Emploi” in conformance with the ARE and on a contribution of the Regional council. The aim of this program is to allow young people ending an apprenticed academic cycle, and before beginning a new academic cycle, to dedicate a school year to perfect, their skills at the linguistic and professional levels by doing an internship of 6 months in a job in a company in Europe, under the supervision of the vocational training centre. The program takes place in 3 steps : 2 months of preparation of the mobility at the vocational training centre, 6 months of internship in Europe and 2 months of conclusion to prepare the next year. A kind of Erasmus program for apprentices…The program "" Eurostart "" aims at several objectives : to improve the linguistic levels and to acquire new technical skills, appropriate to the concerned country. These new techniques can, for example, concern gastronomy, wines, techniques of cutting and cooking and the organization of the work. The hotel and catering industry are permanently looking for multilingual staffs. A lot of international tourists come to our country every year, and in spite of numerous efforts, French still lag behind in the linguistic domain. It weakens our international reputation and our mission which consists, among others, in training of future professionals also in this domain. Besides, during their stay, the young people also have to take complete advantage of this opportunity to deepen other professional techniques and improve their cultural levelIn these jobs as said previously, to speak several foreign languages is a considerable asset to begin their career and occupy functions in contact with the public or jobs of responsibility. Our problem is relatively simple : how to improve the linguistic and technical level of our young apprentices with the aim of allowing them to obtain a job for which the current practice of English in particular has become essential today. The language level reached at the end of the middle school or the high school is very often insufficient. And even with the courses distributed within the framework of the alternation, this level can only with difficulty be sufficient to satisfy the professionals who want to welcome their clientele at their best.""Eurostart on 2014-2016"" took place over a period of 2 years. 4 trainees for the first year and 8 for the second. 3 participants went to the Republic of Ireland, 2 to Denmark, and 6 to England, and prestigious establishments were partner of the project : let us quote for example the Dorchester hotel and the Savoy hotel in London, or even the Merrion Hotel in Dublin...The CFA Médéric wished to offer to the apprentices the opportunity to improve their current practice of the languages in ideal conditions and to acquire new professional skills. In the day when they enter the labor market, this experience will increase their employability in responsible jobs. Finally, we also want to multiply our partnerships abroad, to make them fruitful and set up partners' network which will, where necessary, help to participate actively in exchanges of pupils or teachers within the framework of other international programs or of Ile-de-France"

"The Municipality of Correggio has made significant commitments with respect to European policies that can be implemented locally to promote a thorough European citizenship. The applicant is working at all levels of education, in cooperation with Europe Direct, and is partner of the Italian network for the transnational mobility of young people EURODESK.On the other hand it is the territory of the Parmesan cheese, traditional balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia, Lambrusco Reggiano DOC and mortadella! It has the highest grape production in the province, it is the home of one of the most important schools of the territory in the food and agriculture sector, Convitto Corso.""EAT in Emilia 2"", as the first edition of the project ""EAT in Emilia"", born from these seeds, grows with the interests shared by the Provinces, the Enterpreneurial Organizations and the Emilia-Romagna Region, which has also set up its own collective mark QC (Controlled Quality), which identifies the products obtained by applying the techniques and methods of integrated production environment and health friendly. The partnership is completed by schools and vocational centers of the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Parma and Modena, business associations, promotion consortia, global enterprises and with a selection of the most appropriate receiving partners. When the project has been written, EXPO 2015 was just finished and there was the need to intercept the development opportunities related with the higher attention from the whole world towards our way of living and feeding in the respect of our territory. Therefore, the project EAT in Emilia 2 arises from the knowledge of the territory, its products and the concept of promotion, with a strong connotation in marketing, e-communication and e-commerce areas, with pragmatic references to operative tools, including ICT and social media, which allow, through the European benchmark, to develop the best possible performance to be spent on the labor market, raising the employability level of participants. The concept of “typical food product” has been defined and 'transferred' certainly not from a closing or defensive point of view, but as GLOCAL RESPONSE to the increasing search for quality. This in order to pursue competitiveness and sustainability, fostering the reconfiguration of production systems and giving more negotiation power to farmers and rural groups.EAT in Emilia 2 let us enrich our young learners with innovative skills, supporting both exploitation policies and SMEs willing to grow in value (and income), providing them with ideas and strategies to develop toward a real “glocalization”. It is no coincidence that the forms of marketing of the typical product proposed in the project, followed on one side the path of the short chain and on the other the openness to web 2.0 tools, e-business and social business.Every school/vocational center involved has been associated to training experiences characterized by the recognition of credit and able to provide learners with at least one specific skill/performance among those recognized in the Regional (or National) Qualification Framework, in order to produce new skills and improve local and European employability. We started from young people that, with ""EAT in Emilia 2"", have had EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH, through a linguistic-cultural preparation specific for the destination country and thanks to a 5-week/3-month work placement experience in European SMEs, respectively for 95 students and 32 newly graduates.Participants have been able to develop those life skills which are necessary to become a real citizen and to integrate quickly into the labor market.""EAT in Emilia 2"" has been a project in line with the objectives of the YOUTH WARRANTY, it responded to the competitiveness and internationalization needs of our enterprises and, at the same time, it offered to young people tools for growing as individuals and facing the labor market with better perspectives and with a portfolio of validated skills and experiences in a clear, recognizable and readable way.The destination countries were: Spain, Malta, UK, Portugal, France, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands."
