It's a natural and cultural priviledge place where the landscape will be our ally to get inspired.During one week ( 19th -24th September), and using non formal education methods based on community building and open air activities we prepared the arena for a rich exchange of ideas, practises and living examples of alternative approaches to work, life and education. It was, more than anything else, an experiential learning project, where participants were able to live in a community based group, using local resources and lightweight lifestyles. We explored the idea of decreasing the environmental costs of our activities and growing in social relations, mutual learning and happiness. Some of the activities planned were: walking in the nature, entrepreneurship workshops, coaching, community learning and council, among others. The target group included 28 participants among Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth Policy Makers, Volunteers, anybody who could be interested in the topic and find it useful for personal and professional development. With this project we aimed to raise awareness on some of the main aspects of the continuing changing society, give tools to the participants to self develop their sense of initiative, and enhance the networking process. The benefits of this action rely on the capacity of the paticipants to put in practise and multiply the contents of the course once back home, and also the power of networking between the organizatoins involved.

Project ''Embodied Peacebuilding - Compassion in Action in a Changing World"" is an 8-days training course designed in collaboration of 15 partners with aim to explore and develop peace building methods that are based on work with body and movement, as well as to enhance participants' skills of self-awareness and self-reflection, empathic and honest communication and conflict resolution. This training course was created to foster efficient leadership in peace building practices that meet the need of youth organizations to lead the way for more tolerance and respect in the face of growing xenophobia and fear for unknown future. It inspires young people to take responsibility in their hands and lead the way to build another strategy to maintain, spread and sustain peace in Europe and outside of it. This project will take place in Liepaja, Latvia and involve 31 full-time participants and experts from Croatia, Latvia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Austria, Hungary, Germany and Czech Republic - youth workers and group leaders, community facilitators and trainers who want to build the culture based on principles of solidarity, shared power, inclusion and peaceful existence. The course is based on non-formal and embodied learning principles and methods, while exploring how embodied learning approaches can be used in different realities within youth work and non-formal education. Participants will be empowered to address conflict and see peace building possibilities among groups of different races, religions, social and political backgrounds, as well as overcome difficulties and opinion differences in their own organizations. This course is unique as it combines verbal, non-verbal peace building approaches ,as well as gives tools for personal development work and exploration, so that peace building is embedded in every action of individual and organization and becomes integral part of it.Embodied learning methods contribute to both, professional and personal development of the learners, which means that through practices, activities and approaches used during this training course, participants will develop a centered presence - grounded way of being in their bodies and practicing leadership with the ability to act and respond to their own needs, as well as to the needs of others, the community and organizations. One of the main results of this project will be development and exchange of innovative learning methodologies in peace building. Participants will learn how to present peace building activities in their societies in a playful and creative way. Since all partners want to expand their working scope in peace education, participants will be given methods to be used and adapted to their realities and implement local peace building initiatives within the framework of the project. Thus the project will also foster cooperation among all partners, further developing and exchanging ideas and practices on peace building and embodiment, and contribute to strengthening peace in participants' communities."

It consisted of one main “youth workers mobility activity” - training course, that happened in the city of Liepaja from 10-18 May 2015.Youth organizations working in urban areas are facing more difficulties engaging young people in its activities and bringing meaningful and necessary activities to young people (with young people) whilst young people are facing difficulties with belonging, connection, meaning, direction and healthy behaviors. The course brought together 24 youth workers and community activists from eight organizations coming from seven countries:Latvia, Portugal, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain and Romania - Radi Vidi Pats, Rota Jovem, Neront, Mladi za Marof, Be International, Asociación Biodiversa, Asociatia URBANIAC and Asociatia Puzzle OptimEast Tg. Neamt. The participants were pro-active, solutionary, curious youth workers, NGO workers, community organizers - willing to get even more active in their local community and organize common activities and actions, helping the transformation of unhealthy and environmentally-unfriendly behaviors happen. The training course raised awareness of the impacts of urbanization especially concerning youth, environment and health and the role of the youth organizations in guiding more sustainability in cities through youth activities. It provided tools for partner organizations to effectively encourage youth participation, promote creative activism, and lead community work & city mapping in order to create lasting change and affect behaviors at their local communities.Participants of the training course gained hands on experience of tools for social change, networked and explored opportunities for local and international projects that work towards sustainable change in cooperation with each other. The course methodology was based on non-formal learning, experiential education, community service, individual and group work, inputs and insights from four experts in the field of creative activism, theater & sustainable food cycles were invited. As one of the results of the project a web platform was created on the topic of the training course, with participants inputs, course info & learning tools. https://greenurbancycles.wordpress.com/2015/06/03/switched-further-from-green-towards-supergreen/"

At the same time, more and more people -youth included- are willing to take part to a change but are lacking of methods to get into action. We want to gather international youth workers to take part to solving those issues and spreading and sharing concrete tools that youth leaders could use to plan more responsible lifestyles regarding environment and human relations. That's why we want to organise a training course / good practices seminar ""Practical Ecology III"". This project will take place in Bédeille (South of France), from 3th to 15th October 2017. It will gather, around Solafrika French organisation, 24 youth workers. Gender, age and background balance will be insured. People will come from the following countries and organisations : - Moulsecoomb forest garden - United Kingdom - Neront - Austria - Pandora - Hungary - Alter Ego - Greece - Metta - Slovenia - Biodiversa - Spain - IBG - Germany - Solafrika - France The objectives of this project are : 1- To share concrete tools with youth workers in order to raise awareness among youngsters about a healthier and more ecological lifestyle and work orientation ; 2- To spread tools and technics to be able to organize a ""rupture"" camp for youth who have difficulties; 3- To promote everyone's active citizenship and participation by suggesting cooperative ways to organise ourselves ; 4- To support intercultural exchange and to focus on the « living together » ; 5- To continue international partnerships and to create links between organisations working on common topics. All the activities are participative ones and will apply non formal educative methods in order for everyone to find its place and to support learning by practicing. The main activities will be: - Ecological building ; - Oudoor activities ; - Permaculture. Besides, everyday at the end of the activities, we will have moments in full group designed to debate and experiment collective life systems. During these moments, cooperative games, cultural evenings and other collective activities will be proposed. By gathering youth workers from the European Union, this project would allow the partner countries' youth to get concrete tools useful for their personnal and professionnal life. It would head the participants and the youngsters they work with towards more ecological and respectful practices. A booklet, made by the participants and Solafrika during the TC, will be spread and used by international youth workers and citizens. This project can lead to new partnerships -local, national, European and international-, especially within Erasmus+ program, gathering actors willing to commit into more cooperative and ecological lifestyles and ways of working."

Therefore, the youth workers have an important role in raising awareness about “What's in their plate”.The goal of this European TC is to give tools to our partner organizations and the European youth workers to be able to increase the youngster knowledge about the global food system. European youth has to become real actors of their consuming. This TC will allow the participants to think on how to find concrete solution to improve their food consuming in their everyday life and their activities with youth people.Doing that, we will increase the awareness of the participants about todays world food issues. « What's in your plate? » will approach different themes : feeding, different types of agriculture, how to use gardening to raise awareness about locale agriculture, biodiversity, intelligent cooking, etc. Participative methods will be used. The participants will have to be active and involved in every workshop: we want to encourage them to think, analyze and debate in order to be able to apply what they have learnt in their own activities and project among youth people. They will learn knowledge and know-how passed on during the training. Of course, the everyday life and cultural habits, especially the meals, will be really important time of the training. The training will take place during 8 days (from the 25th of August to the 1st of September) in Bédeille (Ariège, France), with 25 participants coming from Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Poland and France."
