"“PractCALL(Formare practica de calitate la standarde europene)” is a project for the Action Mobility of learners and staff , VET learner and staff mobility within the Key Action Learning Mobility of Individuals. The applicant, Technical College Buzau is one of the largest technical high schools in the county, one that trains students in all three profiles of VET (services , technical and environmental) . It is a school where 82 % of students are from rural areas, it has extensive European experience (three Comenius partnerships and one Leonardo da Vinci IVT, two Erasmus+ Vet Learner and staff mobility ) and has been declared an ""European school""(2012-2015 and 2016-2019).The project facilitates the employment of students in their respective fields, which is the reason of our high school’s existence. With this purpose, 60 of our students had three weeks of practice in Barcelos: 46 students from different high school specializations: economic activities(10), administration(9), environment protection(11), computing(9) and mechatronics(7) as well as 14 students from the vocational field :9 car mechanics and 5 pastry/bakery students. The project is meant for students of the 10th grade(from both high school and vocational school), studying Module 4,common to all specializations(OMEC 3331/2010)-the main competence, project focus point and a national priority. It has 90 hours ( 3weeksx5daysx6hours )and it is the only practical training module grouped at the end of the school year.Specific objectives:- facilitate the transition from school to work for 50% of all 10th graders by training 60 future professionals in real working conditions to meet the demands of employers resulting in increasing to 20% the percentage of graduates to who are employed in their field in the following 3 years;- supply 90 hours of training for each of the 7 specific situations (examples of good practice within the profession according to European standards and requirements-european certification;-self - training skills / responsible behavior at European standards. Partners:- The Technical College of Buzau is the applicant and sending organization ( selection of beneficiaries , training, schedule , financial management , contracts, travel formalities , certification , dissemination )-The intermediary organization INTERCULTURAL - MOBILITY ASSOCIATION FRIENDS largest Portuguese organization with more than 4900 participants in training courses; they provided accommodation and meals, supervising participants in the social and professional integration, they were responsible for the security of students, pedagogical / cultural training, Portuguese language communication exercises , dissemination , etc. and AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS DE BARCELOS with role in the evaluation, validation and certification of competences-the receiving organizations RQ GABINETE CONTABILIDADE (economic activities),MUNICIPIO BARCELOS(administration), DIGITELOS(mechatronics),INFORCAVADO(computing),PIMENTA DO VALE(environment protection),JOÃO OLIVEIRA BARBOSA(car mechanic) și PADARIA INDEPENDENTE(pastry/bakery) ensured the development of 90 hours of training , they assumed the signature on the mobility certificate for each student , etc.Students developped their practical skills at European standards needed to adapt to the requirements of the labor market and the dynamics of technological change and their practical abilities, they gained real working experience and became aware of their opportunities on the European labor market as well as the chance to study abroad. The project led to an improved image of the student at community, school and intrinsic level. The fact that students worked in a new environment , away from family ( the center of his universe ) helped them discover, become independent , responsible , punctual leading to an increased self-esteem.Students improved their communication skills in the two European foreign languages ( English A2/B1 and Portuguese A1) through the linguistic training conducted in Romania and by interacting with people in organizations.Students had to adapt to a different cultural environment, learnt to appreciate its values. Pedagogically, the relationship between student, school, community and European Union became stronger. It is difficult to convince local partners that our students can perform not only easy, but also complex tasks, that they ""will not damage"" the equipment, machinery, etc. We believe, however, that we are able to “shake things up” (the beneficiaries of this project are already promoting the tasks performed in Portugal, and slowly we will make progress). All these changes for students will also leave marks on the work of our school in general and teachers in particular. Teachers have to prepare the curricula and improve teaching methods to match the expectations of students. This project has also contributed to the reputation of our school, the increased confidence of students, parents and the local community in techni"

"The aim of “Alcorcón en Europa” Project has been to raise the rates of employment of the participants by increasing their chances of personal development and employability. ""ALCORCÓN EN EUROPA II"" is sponsored by a Consortium which has been coordinated by the Municipal Institute for Employment and Economic Development of Alcorcón (IMEPE) and has gathered 9 active entities in the field of education and employment with solid experience in the implementation of mobility projects. This project has provided continuity to the projects ""ALCORCÓN IN EUROPE"" and ALCORCON EN EUROPA II”, strengthening the relationship between partners and enlarging the impact of these projects.23 participants aged 18 to 67 have taken part in the project. These participants were entitled with VET Professional Certificates in any of the following areas: Cinematographic and audiovisual production assistance - Health and social care for dependent people in social institutions-Management of tele assistance calls -Merchandising and retail store promotion- Environmental interpretation and education-Operating voice and data communication systems-Auxiliary operations in administrative and general services-Technician in Commercial Activities-Administrative management expert-Technician in Microcomputer Systems and Networks- Expert in auxiliary nursery care-Technician in Telecommunications Installations-Technician in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations-Technician in Hairdressing and Hair Cosmetics-By means of this project, we have covered the needs that participants had shown and that were identified during the research period before the project was launched: •Low level of a second language, which reduced their possibilities of employment. •Lack of experience or practical learning in their professional sector, which reduced their competitiveness when looking for a job. •Lack of expertise in their field of education as a consequence of short experience•Need of adaptation to new technologies (TICs). Besides, we can conclude that we have reached the following objectives: •Participants have completed a period which has provided them quality education and we have encouraged transnational practical work based learning. •We have strengthen the connection between business world and education by paying attention to their specific needs, building bridges of connection and creating synergy. •Thanks to the transnational experience, we have provided an opportunity to improve a second language. •We have guaranteed a better recognition of the competences acquired in this process.•Participants have developed their entrepreneurship ability, which will contribute to create autonomous and sustainable societies. •We have raised awareness among people of new labour opportunities where skilled professionals are needed. •We have contributed to raise public awareness about the importance of putting into practice international actions that lead to local development and the understanding of the new realities and cultures.•We have contributed to the alignment of VET policies with strategies of development at local, regional, national or even European level. The process we followed through for making the selection of participants was open and transparent. Selected candidates have completed a quality training period of 3 months in companies located in Italy, Portugal and UK. Being a training program, the project firstly aimed to young students, because the rate of unemployment affects them particularly. However, we have also selected people over 45 because they submitted the applications and showed great interest in taking part of the project. Fortunately, the final results have been really positive. The Consortium established partnerships with intermediary organizations and companies which have helped to coordinate the training programs and have contributed to the quality of the project in the different cities where the project has been developed. Apart from the mobility itself, the project has produced an added value, as it is, the creation of a comprehensive tailored program of job insertion itineraries which offer the participants services of work orientation and job insertion through local bodies once they have returned home. We believe that this Project has had a direct impact on the participants (acquisition of professional experience at an international level, improving of a second language and raising of competitiveness and job opportunities) and indirectly in Alcorcón, Móstoles and the surrounding towns, contributing to the social and economic development of the area."
