The project was an environmental project, we wanted to fight against food waste The 2 strong ideas of this project were: -To consume better not to waste and indirectly fight against global warming by proposing other modes of consumption - Difficult to produce, easy to throw To carry out our project, we proposed to the groups to leave a statement of departure and weighed our food waste every day. Following the observation of departure, using different means such as: * work the menus with the teams and the young people during the stay, * cook the right amount rather than being delivered, * promote self-service: the salad'bar, * adapt the portions served, * use fresh products, * work, get supplies from local producers, * use unsold, ugly vegetables, ""broken jaws"" We tried to reduce our waste during the whole stay We were helped by the association Synergies 53 and the environmental service of the Community of communes of Coëvrons to propose or build quality animations. To promote the project, raise awareness about food waste, we organized a DISCO SOUPA DISCO SOUPE is a moment of gastronomy and celebration in a friendly and musical atmosphere. The principle: transform declassed fruits and vegetables, intended to be thrown away, into a supportive feast. We also participated in a party in a village -installation of a booth to promote and present our action -help to set up animations In parallel, we worked on another axis: Difficult to produce, easy to throw We spent a whole day on a farm to do different jobsWe proposed to the young people to harvest themselves vegetables, to maintain a parcel at a maraicherWe visited a mill, bought our flour to produce breadWe visited a bee farm and collected honey, met local producers who explained their work,We had the opportunity to ""hay"" to really understand the work to do to produce food, feed animals,We cooked and prepared our meals as often as possible This year, we focused more specifically on the project's methodology, the learning of young people. We have included a daily brainstorming session to allow young people to learn to analyze themselves, to take stock of their skills and abilities, while getting used to taking initiatives within a group and measure their impacts. We also worked on: - the European dimension of the project (Game on Europe at Le Mans, promotion of youth exchanges, the ERASMUS + system, European mobility during the DISCO SOUPE) -the active involvement of young people in the workshops, in our daily exchanges, in the preparation of the days -the intercultural dimension by proposing role plays like BON APPETIT -visibility of the project by disseminating widely on the website of the Community of communes of Coëvrons, relaying our creations on the net, with our partners, local elected officials, families Of course, we have not forgotten the play time, energizers essential to the cohesion of the group."

Municipal kindergartens MLA Viimsi Lasteaiad and the Youth Centre of Viimsi have both the ambition to host a foreign volunteer as the first experience from 1st half-year of 2016 was really successful. We would like to host two volunteers for 11 months to ensure efficient cooperation and create synergy with volunteers and to affect more intensively local population’s solidarity. The main target of the project is focusing on different skills in order to develop the volunteers` working habits, lifelong learning, social initiative through various supported activities in youth and children institutions of Viimsi. Project activities will help volunteers to raise their special skills, independence, courage and openness and to learn about Estonian culture, manners and traditions. In addition we hope to enlarge cooperation between the partners and to inspire young people in Viimsi to take part in voluntary projects themselves; to get positive experience with the project and ensure the continuation of them. Viimsi Municipality is willing to host 2 volunteers from 12th Aug 2017 until 15th July 2018. Both volunteers should have strong motivation to be hosted by Estonians, they should be interested in learning about Estonian culture , history, the Estonian language. A volunteer should be an active person who likes communication with children and young people. We expect the volunteer to come up with interesting and innovative ideas for different activities and carry out events for young people. A volunteer should be interested in working in Youth Centre which is outside the formal education’s limits. The activities allow to put different possibilities for the non-formal education into practice. It would benefit for the project if the volunteer has any specific skills and sharing them would be very valuable both ways-for the volunteers and locals. The hosting institution is ready to cooperate in case the volunteer has the wish to go on with developing them. Viimsi Kindergartens expects to host a volunteer who is flexible, enjoys challenges, likes children and working with them. As the volunteer will work in the kindergarten, he/she should be ready to spend time with children daily, play with them, assist them. Finding contact with children should be one of the volunteers strong sides. As the language communication is limited, the manual activities are of great importance. It means he/she should be able to use his/her different skills for teaching children. We would be happy if the person is interested in using experiences gained from the project for finding work in the future life . Both volunteers should be motivated to live alone in different culture and try managing in different surroundings. It gives the volunteer a possibility to find out more about his/her own personality. A kindergarten is a municipal institution offering formal pre-school education for children aged 3-7. The role of a volunteer is to assist a teacher with preparing and carrying out different activities and events, keeping children active during the whole day. The volunteer shoud be able to support the activities to open up the personal abilities of every child. The Youth Centre in Viimsi is an institution giving non-formal education to young people aged 7-26 and there are no limited age groups there. The main task of the volunteer’s work in the centre is to support young people in their activities and to propose new ideas for spending their free time valuably in different forms. Taking part in planning and implementig activities in cooperation with local youth trainers and proposing their own ideas is the way how it is achieved. As a result of the project the volunteers should have learnt a lot about themselves and their skills, they should be more opened and tolerating. The project could be a good start and motivation to continue lifelong studying through realizing themselves in their future work fields.
