A recent development to address these problems is the concept of social enterprise. In our strategy as organization we have decided to focus more on the area of Social Economy and Social Entrepreneurship as a means to promote environmentally and community friendly, locally produced goods and services. We have decided to start with a training course that would allow us to share and learn more with our peers interested in developing ways to engage young people in entrepreneurial and social economy activities. Thus, Social Economy Lab project was built. Social Economy Lab was a project built around a 5 days training course aimed at improving the competences of youth workers in entrepreneurial education of young people and in approaching social entrepreneurship within their community work, as an alternative solution to social, environmental and economical problems of small towns and villages. The training course took place between 2 and 8 April 2016 in Aiud, Romania. Participants in the project were 23 youth workers (trainers, mentors, project managers, project designers) from 10 organizations based in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Spain and Turkey. They were actively involved in the work with youth in their communities, willing to get more active in the field of entrepreneurial education, and had an intense with the communities that they are part of. The objectives we had for our project were: 1. Generating a better understanding among the participating youth workers regarding their role in providing entrepreneurial learning and in bringing to life youngsters’ interest in social entrepreneurship;2. Facilitating the exchange of methods, tools and practices useful in the development and support of social entrepreneurship among young people and developing participants’ skills in using them;3. Developing a sense of responsibility among the participants regarding the different ways in which young people can actively participate in the local economy. During the project participants were involved in a preparatory phase of the training course by mapping out their specific and community-based needs. During the training itself we had a range of workshops, case study analyses, group reflections and group work, sharing space, experimental laboratories, field-trips and activities with members of the community. All activities during the training course were based on non-formal education approach. Following their return to local communities they were given the opportunity to put into practice what they have gained during the training course in the planned follow-up activities and share with their local communities within the framework of this project, as well as beyond it.The main results that we have as a result of this project are:- 23 youth workers better equipped to work with young people and increase their entrepreneurial competences in the field of social entrepreneurship, - a number of ""prototypes"" of social enterprises that is aimed to guide, support and further inspire young people in participating countries to set up their own social enterprise.- a toolkit built by and with the participants in this project for the wider community of youth workers who wish to engage in entrepreneurial education for young people. As far as the young people and local communities are concerned, beneficiaries such as unemployed youngsters hve been offered the opportunity to get involved and take matters into own hands. The projects in the process of implementation by the partner organizations are setting an example for the local community. They are targeting the increase in employment, social inclusion, and the number of young entrepreneurs in the community. Following the project and the common efforts we have deployed together with our partners, we are confident that this will not only bring benefits to the employees, but to the local society, by offering a social value to the goods and services produced. And, as an ultimate goal, by creating sustainable development opportunities for young people in their own communities and preventing them from migration to cities or from unemployment-related health and behavioral problems."

VJland consists in 2 trainings, one in Czech Republic and one in Turkey, designed for social workers and young artists to learn how to use VJing for social change and work with troubled youngsters and young refugees!VJing is the art of manipulating and animating digitalized visuals to create a live performance, the same way that DJing is the art of selecting and manipulating digitalized audio to create a live concert. VJs create and play with digital images in real time, projecting them in specific spaces in synchronization to music and/or dance. This results in a live multimedia performance that can include music, actors, dancers and art installation. VJing is a ‘total art form’ that encompasses music/sound, visuals, digital tools, a site-specific installation and interaction between artist, audience and space. Our main objective is to teach our participants how to use VJing as an educational tool for young people, especially refugees, to think about space appropriation as a way of inclusion, self-expression and social commentary. To achieve our goal, we plan to bring together a group of 20 youth workers and young artists from 6 countries, train them to the innovative digital technique of VJing in Czech Republic, and then give them the possibility of using it as a tool for social inclusion with young refugees in Turkey. The first training in Czech Republic will focus on a beneficiary group of youngsters degrading public spaces with graffiti. By learning VJing and developing VJing initiatives, the youth workers and artists participants will offer those youngsters a legal and harmless way to channel their creativity and engage them in citizen participation by creative appropriation of public spaces. To engage this target group and give our participants a chance to apply their newly acquired competences during the training, we plan for them to animate a workshop for youngsters of the art school of Karlovy Vary. This will also create and strengthen cooperation between formal and non-formal education sectors in Czech Republic. Then, a few months later, a second training in Turkey will give the opportunity to our participants to develop and implement a longer workshop with youngsters from Syria, Iraq and Kurdish communities, suffering from social exclusion in Mardin. By leading the participants and their workshop groups to create and present a VJing performance in Karlovy Vary and in Mardin, we also hope to participate in creating free public activities for the local community; engaging rural development by using local spaces as performing spaces; helping youngsters developing their own citizen initiatives; building a community feeling by using visual elements from the city and its inhabitants in a performance created and performed by its youngsters, helping to develop the relationship between youngsters and their city and spreading the multidisciplinary artistic practice of VJing! The specific objectives of the training are as follows:- Learn the technique of VJing and its use as a tool for social change in youth work;- Provide participants with an opportunity to share best practices on using digital and performance art for empowering young people that are already being implemented by participating organizations;- Explore the potential of VJing for engaging young people at risk of social exclusion, especially young refugees;- Discover methods of ensuring long-lasting social impact of youth projects based on VJing;- Establish a network of like-minded individuals interested in further cooperation on the topical area of the project.Through non-formal learning methods, the participants will lead workshops for each other, share skills and foster their personal and professional development. This will strengthen their key competences, enrich their set of methods and tools, consequently improving the quality of education, training and youth work throughout Europe. It will also help them to develop a sense of European citizenship and identity. They will develop their networks. They will be given the chance to start developing new projects together. Globally, our project aims to develop the quality of youth work, strengthen the cooperation between art, formal and non-formal education sectors and the labor market as well as supporting and developing a youth policy based on knowledge and research. At the level of the partner organizations, we intend to improve the capacities, attractiveness and the international dimension of organizations, so that they can offer activities and programs best suited to the needs of youngsters in Europe and elsewhere. In this, our goals are consistent with those of the Erasmus+ program and mobility projects.

The first mobility started on 1 May 2018 and lasted until January 2019 at the latest, with the mobility being slightly offset by the date of arrival of each volunteer. The project was created as a continuation of two previous EVS projects implemented by our association in Sighisoara in 2016-2017 due to the children's and kindergarten requests from the locality to continue our cooperation. Opening everyone to work with our foreign volunteers and their impact on children has prompted us to go further and offer them more and more non-formal education. Volunteer's sending organizations were You in Europe from Greece, UNLA from Italy and Seiklejate Vennaskond from Estonia. Even if we originally chose to host also two volunteers from Macedonia, the partner association ""Pavel Satev"" did not succeed in their selection in a timely manner, nor did we succeed in replacing the two with volunteers from the other partners but the activities were reorganized in this way so as to cover and achieve the goals originally set by prolonging the traineeships of the 6 present ones.Volunteers were young graduates without a job, or young people with a half-time job, young people who loved children and expressed their willingness to work in this area in the future. Through this project, we are generally aiming to give volunteers the opportunity to develop those skills that are useful to their employability and to accelerate the transition to a more active lifestyle, to create that safe framework in which they learn and develop harmoniously . At the moment, after completing the project and returning the volunteers to their home countries, we can say with joy that we have achieved this goal and our experience has helped them significantly to mature and become more responsible for their lives. In short, we can say that this project represented a life lesson for them and we are sure that their impact will be felt for a long time now.The project's activities were designed to provide the ideal framework for their experimental education and to ensure that at the end of the project we will succeed in achieving the concrete objectives:1) development of attitudes / abilities / basic and practical knowledge for volunteers hosted in the context of finding a job and their active participation in the life of the community2) developing a non-formal learning program for at least 120 children in Sighisoara In short, the activities supported within the project were divided into 5 categories:A1 - Workshops in local kindergartens - ""Prototypes Workshops"" - in groups of 2/3, volunteers offered weekly support to educators in 2 kindergartens in the locality to follow the children's education plan and contributed with new ideas inspired by the methods of education non-formal adapted to children's agesA2 - The Children's Theater Circle - in this activity, the volunteers set up a play for children inspired by Esop's ""Leo and Mouse"" fable, played with the help of local volunteers, which they played in Romanian.A3 - Erasmus Rooms - for this activity the volunteers supported a series of workshops at the Sighisoara Children Art Center (drawing - Art Workshop, dance - Dance through history, music - Music Workshop) and foreign languages (Italian and Greek) A4 - support actions offered to local and national initiatives in Sighisoara, performances (Symphonical Jazz in Transylvania in partnership with Elena Mindru Association), concerts (DAVA Festival), public events (Parada 1 June - Children's Day, opening of Tailor's Tower as a point Hallowen, Opening of the Communism Museum - Central Underground, tourist questionnaires in partnership with the Transylvanian Hills Association), activities of AIESEC volunteers hosted by Wild Carpathia, excursions with children, activities of EVS volunteers hosted by CEVOS in Sighisoara (Football tournament , event of St. Nicholas - Give and get)A5 - summer camps - Summer Kids Festival - Wonderland in Sighisoara (2 weeks June-July), English Camp in Paltinis in partnership with Pro Erudio - Foreign Language Center Bucharest and Adventure CAMPS (2 weeks July - August), Nature and Art Summer Camp in Zabala in partnership with the Agapedia Association in Brasov (1 week of August)We wholeheartedly affirm that Sighisoara loves international volunteers and looks forward to our activities for children and youth and the effects created at the younger generation are fantastic."
