The training team was composed on the one hand by schools with a common Curricula Offer: I.T.E.T. ""E. Fermi"", IIS ""E. Ferrari"", ITET ""G. Tomasi di Lampedusa"", IIS ""S. Pugliatti"" and the Professional Training Organization Fmts Experience Srl and, on the other hand, by exponents of the local economic and professional industry such as the Pro Loco Messina Sud, the Aeolian Messina Taormina Tourist Guides Association, Radio Street and the Aegee network, all interested in creating a greater connection with the world professional training as a prerequisite for their presence on the territory, generating opportunities for exchange with European realities.Transnational traineeships were considered as the most appropriate tools to respond to the challenges faced by the main actors involved in the process of interconnecting School and Work in the current local and socio-economic context. This process is, in fact, an increasingly central aspect in determining the future structure of the VET system and its ability to anticipate trends and respond effectively to rapidly changing markets.""S.E.A.S."" was developed over 36 months, from 03/09/2018 to 02/09/2021; and saw the participation of 87 recent graduates who carried out ErasmusPro professional internships (4 months) in 4 destination countries - France, Belgium, United Kingdom and Malta- in ""Blue Economy"" sector, specifically tourism and gastronomy, trade and logistics, the main areas in which the training offer of the Consortium's educational institutions is articulated.At the end of the project activities, it is possible to state that the general and specific objectives underlying the proposal have been largely achieved, as ""S.E.A.S."" has:- promoted the link between the VET sector and the labor market, facilitating the transition of 87 recent graduates from school to the workplace in the ""Blue Economy"" sector;- favored greater employability of young participants through the acquisition of soft and language skills, thanks to the creation of placements within a real business context and with European added value;- enabled the creation of a great synergy among the actors belonging to the Consortium (educational institutions, training bodies and representative bodies of the labor market) to improve professional training at regional / national level and promote the qualification of personnel and the mutual transferability of professional qualifications in the wide field of European action;- contributed to the modernization of traditional teaching and professional integration methods adopted by partner schools, which have had the opportunity to go deeper into the functioning of European funding mechanisms and cooperate with a national and international network.In addition to the employment data that see about 20% of the participants employed following the Erasmus experience, it is possible to summarize the main results achieved thanks to the following indicators:- more than 70% of the participants were satisfied with the support received during the mobility on behalf of the sending and receiving institutions;- 88.5% of beneficiaries declared that they were satisfied with the Erasmus + experience lived in its entirety;- 83% of participants said they have acquired technical-professional skills in the reference sector;- 85% of learners stated that they have acquired excellent skills in intercultural dialogue and understanding;- 79% of participants now have a more positive attitude towards their future and towards new career opportunities."

In the way of going on according with the dual system (study and placement), the project had the aim to increase abilities in order to afford the job markets enquiries and gain maturity and self indipendence in choosing better solution for studies and jobs.Needs of participants have been mainly:-acquire and improve language skills-improve key competences-improve and development job skills-be competitive and prepared to enter into the job market at the end of the studiesAims of the project for the participants have been to develop and increase key skills, such as independence, self critic power, authonomy.Aim of the promoter has been to enhance its vocational training offer, enforce skills and abilities of its students and offer innovative and quality trainings.Aim of the partnership was to improve networks in order to implement mobility projects and increase the quality in school system and in enterprises, through professional and practical experiences. The project gave a mobility opportunity to 50 students from the 4th year of study, coming from the courses implemented by the promoter:- secretary services and front desk operator-front desk operator in tourism (promoter and welcome operator)- operator in textile and fashion- elechtronic and elechtrician maintenance operator- graphic design operator- social services operator- mechanic operatorThe experience has been implemented through a 31/32 days mobility abroad, in UK (London), Malta and France (Bordeaux). Participants have been prepared to the mobility through predeparture interculural and language preparation, and mentored abroad.The mobilities have been managed in some different flows, in 2015 and 2016, facilitated also (in some cases) by the presence of accompanying teachers during the whole experience or part of it.

They came from the following schooling: administration and marketing, tourism, catering &hospitality and personal services, environmental management, industrial sectors and information technology.124 participants (54 females and 70 males), at the conclusion of the 4 ^ class, lived a 5-week mobility in UK, France, Spain, Germany, in summers 2015 and 2016.The key competences specifically identified in the project as a reference for LOs were:-learning to learn, -spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship, -social and civic competence, -communication in foreign languages, - intercultural competence.Before departure were made linguistic, cultural and educational preparatory activities; abroad in the first week this kind of preparation was completed and then 4-weeks full-time internship were carried in a company.From a methodological point of view, for the implementation of mobility were applied ECVET procedures. This allowed the sending schools to recognize the experience abroad as equivalent to the school-work alternance, to integrate it into the school curriculum and to assign credits both as regards key/ soft skills and in the professional results.All participants were awarded with the Europass Mobility Document and Certificate of Competence, which have been widening known to the region by dissemination actions, to increase their employment marketability.At the end of the activities, the final feedback received from the participants, accompanying persons, school tutors, have demonstrated the high degree of satisfaction with the growth of technical and practical knowledge and skills, of linguistic and professional skills, with particular emphasis on ""soft skills"" , primarily the growth of personal autonomy.The network has been able to count on the support of a significant internal partnership of co-operatives, local authorities, companies and representatives of the social partners and the financial authorities, as evidence of interest aboutthe project issues and the roots of the schools in the territory.The results and the successes of the experience have been proposed and shared with local partners and institutions during two seminars and other internal schools meetings, as well as disseminated via web and with the local media."

This internship increased students’ professional qualifications and expanded their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of gastronomy. These skills and knowledge were subsequently applied in the real context of the tourism industry. Trends in the tourism and service industries are constantly changing, and our school aims to adequately address the needs of the labor market. We strive to give our students a competitive advantage, therefore we needed to use a benchmark strategy, to constantly update our knowledge, to keep up with the developments in the field and to adapt to change. Gastronomy is a dynamic field, which necessitates the knowledge of both classic and new technologies. An internship in a kitchen, where leading professionals work, demonstrated the attractiveness of cooking and also revealed the intricacies of the French cuisine to our students. Students gained practical experience in new cooking technologies; developed the needed skills for preparing food for big events; practiced French and English in real-life situations; increased their professional motivation; applied their entrepreneurial skills in a competitive environment. The project met the strategic objective of Europe 2020 to increase access to quality education and training. Our main objectives were: • acquisition of competences in the field of catering that will help students’ personal development and employability at the European labor market and beyond, • improvement of students’ English and French language skills; • increased understanding and awareness of other cultures and countries, through international contacts. • development of a sense of European citizenship and identity; • increased school capabilities, attractiveness and international profile, through the provision of activities and programs that meet the needs of people in and outside of Europe; • recognition of the competencies acquired through the internships abroad; The main activities of the project were: • organization and planning, • selection of participants, • language, professional and logistical preparation; • conducting the mobility in Аmienе • dissemination and evaluation of results. Results: • acquired competences in the field of catering and cooking; • personal development and employability at the European labor market and beyond; • advanced communication skills in French and English; • increased understanding of other cultures and countries, through international contacts, a sense of European citizenship and identity; • increased capacity, attractiveness and international profile of the school provided through activities and programs that meet the needs of people in and outside Europe; • accreditation of the competencies acquired through the internships abroad. Impact: • the carrying out of 20 mobilities; • the increased motivation and the personal growth of the participants in a new multilingual, multicultural environment; • the cooperation between the project partners; • the increased prestige of our school; • the improved learning process, the integration of the acquired innovative practices into the the professional subjects, and the improved adaptability to the European standards of quality of education; • the developed workforce through participation in European initiatives in education, youth and employment, • the competitive young people active in the multicultural society; • the familiarization with the innovative and advanced technologies; • the created equal opportunities in education and the labor market; • the improved quality and increased volume of mobilities throughout Europe of people involved in initial vocational training; • the development and exchange of innovative practices in vocational education and training Long-term benefits included attracting more young people to participate in programs and projects; improved image of the school; increased attractiveness of vocational education in Bulgaria and in Europe, increased confidence in the EU's values and perspectives."

The traineeships lasted 4 months and aimed at the development of professional competencies of the participants in order to support their labour market placement. The project sectors (metal industry, tourism and hospitality), identified in accordance to the needs of regional economy, represent two main pillars of the local development. The cooperation established among the partner organizations allowed the achievement of the following objectives:-implementation of a regional labour market analysis system aimed at building strategic actions for the training of future workers, in accordance to the ECVET system;-implementation of 101 training experiences (the early return of one of the participants has led to the allocation of another mobility grant) in the metal mechanic and tourism sectors through the development of a methodology that combines innovative learning techniques and training models on-the-job; -creation of a collaborative network between local companies and schools able to encourage both the dual training and the employability of the recent graduates;-starting of the internationalisation of the partner organizations in cooperation with new entities and through the promotion of new partnerships for the development of future initiatives. Regarding the background of the 101 participants, it is possible to highlight the following distinguishing features: -38 participants out of 101 are female;-97 participants out of 101 are resident in Basilicata Region; 2 participants are resident in Puglia Region and 1 in Campania Region (graduated from schools located in Basilicata); 1 participant is resident in Molise Region (following the extension of the participation to the graduated resident in other Italian regions); -21 participants out of 101 have carried out their traineeship in the metal mechanic sector, instead the remaining in the tourism sector;-90% of the participants lives in family situations of economic difficulty and cultural backwardness. Such situations have motivated them to participate in the project in order to build their personal and professional career; -71 participants out of 101 have achieved, in the first linguistic assessment, a level equal of A1-A2, as a token of the low level of linguistic skills. The impact on the participants has been achieved also with respect to the learning outcomes (professional, linguistic and soft skills) and to the increasing job and training opportunities. Thanks to the evaluation procedures, it is possible to point out that: -28 participants out of 101 have received a job offer from the host company; -2 participants have received and accepted a job offer abroad from other companies; -24 participants have received a job offer in Italy, from companies of the consortium partners;-17 participants have decided to continue their studies. Furthermore, the project has generated an impact on the partner organizations, affecting the capacity to: -create new partnership and consolidate the existing collaboration; -acquire new work methodologies to improve the educational offering in VET and facilitate the adoption of a an innovative “modus operandi”; -develop and implement the internationalisation strategy of each partner;-improve the evaluation methods of the educational paths.
