This participation includes exchange cooperation and mobility programs.Furthermore, University of Leon considers that its participation in the Erasmus+ programme is a real good help for people who are positively dealing with the most relevant European challenges until the finish of this decade. Erasmus+ helps them to reach a better fullness in their personal development by guaranteeing equality, prosperity and social inclusion.About the Erasmus+ programme for students, University of Leon considers that it is an important tool whose main objective lies in contributing that people could get some specific aptitudes such as the improvement of their economic environment comprehension. It also helps people to be integrated in different cultures by learning different languages. Due to the fact of joining an Erasmus programme, labor integration in a competitive market can be easier for those who have been abroad during a period of time. Erasmus+ scholarship for students is directed to degree students, master students and doctorate students. Erasmus+ traineehips are also directed to the same students and its goal is related to the realization of some practices in a European company or organization.University of Leon also promotes staff participation through Erasmus teachers´mobility programme and Erasmus training programme. The first one tries to get bigger thepossibilities of teachers´ personal and professional development. It also promotes the technical knowledge exchange by assuring the consolidation of the links that universities have established. The second one is not only directed to teachers but also it is directed to administration and services staff. It is considered as a relevant programme due to the participation of all university sectors by contributing to the improvement of the services that are offered inside the European Union. This improvement facilitates the transfer of knowledge and competences and also the acquisition of different aptitudes in the participants performance area.

The EU has recently launched the European Health Union, identifying AMR as an ""unmet need"". Some studies have shown that the European awareness of the relationship between the use of antimicrobials and AMR development is low, which would be related to the inappropriate use of antimicrobials in humans and animals. The proposal aims to analyze AMR in a multidisciplinary way, promoting the exchange of ideas among university students, graduates, professors and society (30-50 persons), while improving the visibility of the EU, institutions, and European health policies, strengthening links between citizens and the EU.Objectives: To raise awareness of the basic principles underpinning the European Health Union; to disseminate current European health policies and regulations regarding to AMR (human, animal and environmental levels); to improve understanding of the AMR; to analyze the causes of this health challenge through the One Health approach; and to propose educational interventions at different levels to minimize this problem.Activities: 10 lectures/yr of 4 h each. 30 min of guided discussion (flipped classroom); 1.5 h of presentation by an expert on AMR in his/her area of expertise; 30 min of further discussion; 1.5 h work on a guided practical activity. Participants will also prepare informative materials on AMR and receive tutoring to encourage feedback.Expected results: Minimize the abusive use of antimicrobials, both in human and animal health, as well as improve the public's knowledge of the EU institutions and the importance of common health policies.Outputs: awareness of students (50-70%), video recordings of presentations (30/yr), materials generated (6-10/yr), activity reports (4), information in the media, scientific papers (2) and communications to conferences (3), website (hosting and disseminating these products)."

A group of informatics and law teachers at the University of León agreed that EU citizens, specially young students, should know how this new regulation would affect them both as professionals but also as EU citizens<< Objectives >>The objective of the EUpriv8 project was to raise awareness of GDPR mainly, but not only, among young people through dissemination activities concerning this regulation and its legal implications on using foreign technologies that collect and manage personal information. For informatics students the goal is to learn about the technical implications of the GDPR implementation on information systems, and for law students to get an idea of how network and cloud systems store and process information<< Implementation >>The project’s objective was achieved by organizing three types of conferences: informatics, law and generals. Each shared a common part where the basics of the GDPR was explained. The conference was then specialized or generalized depending on the profile of the audience. In addition to the conferences, some specialized seminars of longer duration were also organized, which served to go deeper into informatics or law. At the end, some round tables were held for citizens and organizations.<< Results >>The results were 34 conferences, 3 seminars and 4 round tables held in 7 different locations with a total audience of 1382 participants. The team in charge of project management, development of the materials for the conferences and seminars, maintenance of the project website and organization and delivery of the conferences and seminars consisted of a total of 28 people with informatics and law backgrounds. The initial duration of 18 months had to be extended to 36 due to the pandemic situation.

Since 1992, ULE exchanges their students with the USA and nowadays we have 15 active agreements with this country. Around 80 students participate on Study Abroad exchanges every year on average through the AMICUS ULE independent program (which stands in Spanish for Action for International Mobility through Agreement with Associated Universities). Said Study Abroad exchanges allow the participants to get integrated in the culture and in a different university environment, as well as developing further their linguistic skills and improving their employability on a labour market that is becoming more competitive and international with time. The University of León offers every year more subjects taught in English, which facilitates the mobility of incoming students from the USA. Furthermore, the incoming students may combine their studies at the ULE with Spanish Language and Culture lessons at the Language Center of the ULE and at the faculty of Arts.On the present KA107 Call we have included two USA institutions, one of them being the California State University – Monterey Bay with which we were able to put forth the granted mobilities, although the prospected mobilities (for students and professors) with the University of Washington were unsuccessful due to several issues. Finally, we had the chance to include the Metropolitan State University of Denver due to the collaboration reached on diverse international cooperation topics. The students’ exchanges took place with the California State University – Monterey Bay; a student from ULE attended classes on said University and two students came in exchange. Originally, two students from ULE were going to do the mobility, but there was a withdrawal from one of them concerning academic and personal issues and we could not meet the deadline to nominate a new student. As for the teaching and training mobilities, they were distributed as follows: one ULE professor, and four incoming teachers: two teaching mobilities and two training mobilities. The ULE is positive that this project has had a positive impact, both on an institutional and on a local level. The incoming mobilities may be the ones that cause a greater impact on our cities (Leon and Ponferrada) as they participated on courses with our students and on the International Cooperation Week, which can be translated as highly demanded lectures and conferences for our University community due to the contributions given through their own cultural point of view, making them attractive and useful. Locally and regionally, the Study Abroad participants spend money on the cities, so they become a bonus for our city and, more importantly, they give their own international touch for our citizens, who are interested in feeling part of a different culture. We are a region that welcomes people with open arms and the participants will surely feel included within the variety of events we offer. This program grants our environment some values such as solidarity, tolerance, equity and co-existence, as well as a positive economic, cultural and social impact that means a lot to our region.

On the basis of transversal values (freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination), we will update those parts of the modules’ curriculum related to outstanding objectives that affect economic issues, such as sustainability with the 2050 horizon for zero emissions, 2030 horizon for cooperation in development, gender equality, equal development in rural and urban areas, and improvement of financial education of EU citizens. We will provide teachers in active and future teachers (students of the Spanish Master in Training for Teachers of Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Languages) with those innovative didactic tools within a specific plan designed for every mandatory and selective module taught in the area of “Economy”.The didactic resources will be designed and materialized during the first year. The “training” actions will be developed during the second year at a provincial level and during the third year at an autonomous Community level. The training actions will take place in two main scenarios: 1) The Official Master in Training for Teachers of Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Languages, offered by the University of León since 2009-10 and officially accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Specifically, the action is oriented to the Master students enrolled in the specialization of “Economy”. 2) The Retraining Programs for teachers in Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training, organized by the provincial Delegations of Education.
