    Latvijas Lauksaimniecības universitāte (LLU) Erasmus programmu īsteno kopš 1999.gada. 2014.gadā LLU piešķirta Erasmus universitātes harta 2014.-2020.gadam, kas ir universitātes starptautiskās sadarbības kvalitāti apliecinošs dokuments. Dalība Erasmus+ programmā ir stiprinājusi LLU vietu Eiropas augstākās izglītības telpā. Erasmus+ programmai ir bijusi un ir vadošā loma universitātes studiju procesa internacionalizācijas procesā. Tā sekmējusi studiju kvalitātes izaugsmi, pilnveidojusi studentu un akadēmiskā personāla zināšanas un prasmes. LLU attīstības stratēģijā 2014.-2020.gadam internacionalizācija atzīmēta kā viena no LLU vadības darbības prioritātēm. Tādā veidā arī Erasmus+ programmai tiek veltīta liela uzmanība, lai uzlabotu gan iebraucošo studentu studiju kvalitāti un sadzīves servisu, gan veicinātu izbraucošo studentu un mācībspēku mobilitātes skaitu un kvalitāti. Erasmus+ programmas īstenošanas rezultātā LLU docētāji ir sagatavojuši vairākus studiju kursus angļu valodā, kas veido pamatu LLU piedāvājumam pilna laika studijām ārvalstu studentiem, kas savukārt, veicina apmaiņas studentu piesaisti. Tādā veidā LLU ir sagatavotas vairākas studiju programmas bakalaura, maģistra un doktorantūras studijām angļu valodā ar mērķi piesaistīt vairāk pilna laika ārzemju studentus. LLU Erasmus+ programmas ietvaros ir noslēgti ap 130 starpinstitucionālie līgumi, kas ir pamats starptautiskās sadarbības paplašināšanai ar programmas dalībvalstu augstākās izglītības iestādēm.LLU šajā projektā ir īstenojusi visas plānotās mobilitātes: studentu mobilitāti studijām (SMS), studentu mobilitāti praksēm (SMP), docēšanas mobilitāti (STA) un personāla apmācības un pieredzes pilnveides mobilitāti (STT). Visas plānotās mobilitātes ir īstenotas. Pozitīvais aspekts ir tas, ka pieaug studentu mobilitāte gan studijām, gan praksēm LLU prioritārajās jomās: mežsaimniecībā, veterinārajā medicīnā un pārtikas tehnoloģijā. Šajā studiju gadā Erasmus+ mobilitātē iesaistījušies visu astoņu fakultāšu studenti un pārstāvētas visas studiju programmas. Joprojām jāpieliek pūles, lai vairāk motivētu lauksaimniecības studiju programmu studentus iesaistīties apmaiņas programmā. Visi plānotie rezultāti ir pilnībā sasniegti un pat pārsniegti visos mobilitātes veidos.

    The Latvia University of Agriculture (LLU) has been implementing Erasmus programme since 1999. The Erasmus University Charter (2014 – 2020) was awarded to LLU in 2014 certifying the university’s eligibility for international cooperation. The participation of LLU in Erasmus+ has strengthened the role of LLU among higher education institutions of the European Union. The programme Erasmus+ has enhanced the internationalisation process at LLU by promoting the improvement of the quality of the studies, enriching the knowledge as well as developing the skills of students and academic staff. Internationalisation is considered to be one of the main priorities of the LLU development strategy for the time period of 2014-2020. The main goal of the project was to strenghten the internationalisation at LLU by attracting students, academic and administrative staff to the mobility. The focus in the framework of Erasmus + programme is on improving of the quality of studies and living conditions of international students, on the one hand, and promoting the mobility of LLU students and academic staff, on the other hand. The implementation of Erasmus+ programme has motivated many members of academic staff to prepare their study courses in English to foreign students. In addition, more than100 bilateral agreements have been signed which serve as the basis for developing of international cooperation with the member states of Erasmus+ programme.LLU has implemented all intended mobilities. According to the project financing agreement, LLU had to carry out: 90 student mobilities for studies (SMS), 46 student mobilities for traineeship (SMP), 40 staff mobilities for academics (STA) and 39 staff mobilities for training (STT), 215 persons in total. Within the frames of this project is performed 65 more mobilities than initially planned. The amount of student mobility for studies and placements has increased among students representing LLU priority directions: forestry, veterinary medicine and food technology. It is necessary to increase the mobility among students of agriculture. To sum up, the planned outcomes have been achieved.

    Latvia University of Agriculture (LLU) has been taking part in the Erasmus programme since 1999. In 2014, LLU was awarded Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020, which is a document that acknowledges the quality of International cooperation in the University. Participation in Erasmus+ mobility project during previous and this study year has sustained LLU’s role in the European higher educational space. It has promoted the growth of study quality, improved skills and knowledge of teachers and students, and advanced the process of internationalisation in LLU. During this project LLU has implemented all of the mobilities planned: student mobility for studies (SMS), student mobility for traineeships (SMP), teacher mobility (STA) and staff training mobility (STT). Thanks to the funding granted by the European Commission and State, as well as supplementary budget, planned mobility numbers have been exceeded. The number of student mobilities in the main study fields of LLU has increased: veterinary medicine, forestry, food technology and landscape architecture. All of the planned targets and results have been completely met.

    The Latvia University of Agriculture (LLU) has been implementing Erasmus programme since 1999. The Erasmus University Charter (2014 – 2020) was awarded to LLU in 2014 certifying the university’s eligibility for international cooperation. The participation of LLU in Erasmus+ has strengthened the role of LLU among higher education institutions of the European Union. During the implementation of this Erasmus+ KA107 project since 2015, the university has contributed to the education development of partner universities of Belorussia and Kazakhstan. The programme Erasmus+ has the leading role in the promotion of the internationalisation process of studies at LLU. Internationalisation is considered to be one of the main priorities of the LLU development strategy for the time period of 2014-2020 by the administration of the university. Consequently, a great deal of attention is being paid to the Erasmus+ programme as well as to cooperation with the EU countries and partner countries. The programmes of the strategic development of the partner universities of Belorussia and Kazakhstan include internationalisation issues of studies and research focusing on receiving and sending mobility of university students and teachers as an important resource for integration of their universities in European higher education space ensuring organisational and quality improvement of the study process. The selected cooperation partners Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (BSAA) and Baranovichi State University (BSU) in Belarus and Kazakh National Agrarian University (KazNau), Sh.Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University (KokSu) and M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University (SKSU) in Kazakhstan fully correspond to the LLU internationalisation strategy in order to plan a wide range of cooperation activities in the related areas of studies and research: agriculture, rural development and entrepreneurship, veterinary medicine, engineering sciences, food technology and land management.All the planned mobility has been successfully implemented: 12 incoming student study mobility (SMS), 12 incoming and outgoing teacher mobility (STA), 8 incoming and outgoing staff training mobility(STT).     Latvijas Lauksaimniecības Universitāte (LLU, English name - Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies) has implemented Erasmus Programme since 1999. The Erasmus University Charter was awarded to LLU in 2014 for period 2014 – 2020, confirming LLU eligibility for international cooperation. Internationalization is considered to be the one of the priorities of LLU Development Strategy, especially focusing on Erasmus+ Mobility programmes. LLU has a close cooperation ties not only with European universities, but also with many higher education institutions from Partner countries (Albania, Belorussia, Georgia, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and oth.). So Erasmus+ KA107 mobility is envisaged not only as tool for improvement of quality of the studies and developing competencies of students and academic staff, but also as promoting academic cooperation in science, common project activities and improvement of study environment. Students and professors from partner countries had an opportunity to rise understanding on Bologna principles and practices in European higher education space, develop cross-cultural communication skills and live in friendly study and everyday life environment. LLU professors and staff have demonstrate modern study methods and innovative content of study subjects for partner universities’ students and staff, as well as got know examples of best practices, carried out in Partner universities.LLU as project leading partner implemented all planned mobilities, except one: 7 student mobilities for studies (SMS) from Partner Countries, 7 mobilities for academics from Partner countries (5 STA + 2STT) and 10 mobilities to Partner countries (8 STA +2STT).
