The main reason is preparing for the forthcoming updating of the Higher Education Act, which includes fulfilling of a certain percentage of international student mobilities as a requirement for getting institutional accreditation. The UoD is therefore focusing on increasing mobilities and the development of international relations and cooperation with foreign partners. All quantitative and qualitative aims resulting from the grant agreement were reached. Numbers of carried out mobilities of students and employees in all categories exceeded the planned number. The results of the carried out mobilities were: student mobility for traineeships with four mobilities planned and six carried out, student mobility for studies with eleven planned and fourteen carried out, staff mobility for teaching with 37 planned and 43 carried out and staff mobility for training with 19 planned and 31 carried out.To carry out more mobility than had been planned and than have received funding for through a grant agreement was possible by transferring funds from the organization of mobility. According to the grant agreement nearly 50% of the funds allocated for the organization of mobility was transferred. Erasmus+ project is consistent with the long-term strategic plan of the UoD. Participation in this project, allows the UoD to develop cooperation with foreign partners, to gain new experience and knowledge for education and also contributes to marketing activities of the university and recruiting students and helps increase their motivation during their study. The UoD is committed to language training for its students and this project helps to motivate students to pursue the study of foreign languages and enables them to use foreign languages in practice, to stay in the international environment and contributes to their independence.Because the UoD is a military university all effects and results of the projects are aimed primarily towards the defense sector. Military students who have completed Erasmus+ mobility are better prepared for working in an international environment, which is especially important for participating in foreign military missions, but also during international military exercises and other activities that require communication in a foreign language and ability to proceed in international environment. Civilian students who have completed Erasmus+ mobility, are better prepared for the demands of their future profession, whether in terms of knowledge of foreign languages, ability to work in an international environment and greater independence. The employees who participated in international mobility, bring back to the UoD new knowledge, experience and information that are applied in education process or other activities associated with teaching and operation of the university. They can also participate in other international activities that the university carries out.The main target group of the dissemination activities are students of the UoD. The purpose of these activities is to get a wider range of people interested in international mobility. Another group consists of the university employees who are informed about the possibilities of mobility and what they can gain for increasing their professional growth. The last group consists of international students and staff of foreign institutions. Dissemination activities include the university website, personal contact with students, contact with foreign teachers arriving to the UoD, printed leaflets, etc.The UoD employees share their experience gathered from the implementation of international mobilities mainly through methodical meetings of departments they belong to. Other options include the informal meeting of employees. Thanks to the successful cooperation in frame of Erasmus+ programme the UoD can participate in a new project of strategic partnership, for which Tadeusz Kosciuszko Land Forces Military Academy has received funding and the UoD is involved in as well as the National University of Public Service, Nicolae Balcescu Land Forces Academy and Theresan Military Academy. Within this strategic partnership project all above mentioned institutions intend to create an international semester, especially for military students. Without prior particular employee mobilities carried out in frame of the Erasmus+ programme it would not be possible to join the project (the UoD employess had the opportunity to know the environment of the individual institutions, to become familiar with their study programs, to see guarantee potential of individual departments from these institutions and to consider other factors necessary for cooperation on the strategic partnership project).

The University of Defense takes care of the language training of its students, and this project contributes to motivation of students to study foreign languages and allows them to use foreign language in practice, enables them to try operation in an international environment and raises their independence. Due to the character of the University of Defense, all the project impacts are focused primarily on the defense sector. Military students who have undergone mobility under the Erasmus + program are better equipped to work in an international environment, which is particularly important for participating in foreign missions, but also in international military exercises and other activities. Civilian students who have undergone foreign mobility are also better equipped to pursue their future vocation, they improves their foreign language skills, try to operate in an international environment and gain independence. Employees who have taken part in international mobility bring back to the University of Defense new knowledge, experience, and information which they subsequently use in teaching or other activities related to teaching, education, or running the educational institution.Although increasing the number of outbound students is a key challenge for the University of Defense to be able to meet the organization's long-term goal, namely the internationalization resulting from the requirements for obtaining an institutional accreditation, the quantitative objectives of the project have been met only partially.University of Defence planned 16 student mobility for traineeships but realized only 6 of them and planned 21 student mobility for studies but realized only 14 of them. Instead of 67 staff mobility for teaching only 44 were realized and instead of 55 staff mobility for training only 47 were realized. The reason for lower realized mobility number was the lack of compatibility of study subjects at the University of Defense and foreign institutions, as well as the lower interest of students in mobility. Other reasons include the difficulties connected with sending of military students abroad, which are caused by the regulations of the Ministry of Defense concerning the financing of foreign service trips of professional soldiers. In several cases, the students selected in the selection process did not meet their study requirements in time and therefore could not go abroad. For employees' mobility, the failure to meet quantitative targets was in particular due to the high workload of employees and the impossibility of combining their duties at the University of Defense with a possible term for visiting a partner institution. Other reasons include termination of work or service or health problems. As the main achievement, the preparation of an application for accreditation of the Joint Interdisciplinary Master's Degree Program for Common Security and Defense Policy can be considered. The study program should be realized in cooperation with the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland) and Theresan Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt (Austria). The preparation of the accreditation application is the result of close long-term cooperation between the three institutions involved. The majority part of this cooperation took place under the Erasmus + program. The main target group of dissemination activities consists of students of the University of Defense, and the purpose is to gain a wider range of people interested in foreign mobility. Another group for these activities consists of university staff who is informed about particularly about the possibilities of mobility and what they can get for their professional growth through the mobility. The last group consists of foreign students and staff from partner institutions. University dissemination activities include the University of Defense website, University of Defense News journal, personal contact with students, contact with foreign teachers arriving at the University of Defense, printed leaflets, etc. The University of Defense staff spreads experience gained from the realization of foreign mobility mainly through methodical work at departments and workplaces. Other options include informal employee meetings with a colleague who has undergone mobility in the country or directly at a selected institution in the past and can provide him/her practical information and experience.
