Artists are not immune to these new changes, and are highly affected due to the fact that most of the presentations of their work and interactions with audience are based on face-to-face encounters in forms of exhibitions, shows, plays, performances etc. As part of the internal survey partners have conducted, we had a chance to see what’s the current situation with artists, how they see the whole situation and which are the possible solutions to their problems which were caused by the current pandemic. With this project proposals our consortium is trying to create tools that would be helpful for artists to combat the current situation, reach their target audience and provide an opportunity to present their work, make an income and overcome the whole current situation. This project will respond to the needs of young dancers and performers in order to successfully continue their regular work by using digital tools and technologies and help them to stay in touch with their existing audience, but as well attract more people by using online platforms and social media. They will learn how to adapt their usual face-to-face activities to be developed and implemented online and discuss how they can use gained skills and competences to improve general quality of their work in the long-term period. Covid-19 pandemic does not recognise geographical borders, but is present as a general challenge for all artists around the globe. The diversity of the countries involved bring special added value to the project, as our partners come from 5 different countries that are each on different level of digitalisation and using online tools and technologies, especially when it comes to the art and youth work sectors. Also, all these countries had pretty different measures introduced by their governments that enabled artists to adjust and explore reality of ""new normal"" differently. This present a unique opportunity for everyone involved to learn from each other, share their existing realities and examples of good practice.General objectives of the project are:- To connect the youth sector and the youth organisations with the cultural sector (in specific dancers and performers) and decision makers in order to start the dialogue between these three parties and to create new opportunities for artists and performers in the light of the current situation- To increase competences of youth organisations for their work on empowering dancers and art performers in local communities for creating opportunities to engage with audience by developing online activities- To develop a platform that contains a portfolio of all artists involved in the project as a place where they can meet each other, and promote their online and live activities - To empower young artists in gaining new educational opportunities - in specific gaining skills and knowledge for adapting their activities to online surrounding and increasing visibility of their work- To increase competences of dancers and performers in order to cope with Covid-19 pandemic reality in the sector and make them more resilient- To increase competences of dancers and performers through developed online courses: video production, how to use social media and internet to reach the audience (especially youth) and engage them in the art; social media strategy and content development for artists.Following outputs and activities will be developed and implemented within the project:Platform for artists and youth organisationsManual with guidebook and online course on topic of supporting artists in local communities through youth work activitiesOnline conference: Issues of performers and dance artists in the light of the new normalTraining course: Youth work support to inspiring artists and art in our local communities2 online courses for artists focused on developing their skills for development and digital marketing of online activities.30 youth workers will be involved in training course, more than 1000 artists will directly benefit from the online learning courses, 45 representatives of government, nongovernment and art/culture sector will meet and discuss joint strategies for empowering artists in the current situation, more than 30 youth organisations will additionally join the platform and at least 100 artists will promote their online activities on the unique online platform which is getting together youth work and art/culture sector."

The participants will be trained in radiomaking, storytelling and photography techniques through informal learning. We'll use several methods to disseminate the stories, such as pod casts, radio programs and an online social media platform: Queer Faces, Migrant Voices. In order to achieve our aim the youth exchange will focus on the following objectives:• Sharing personal stories on cultural and sexual diversity;• Cultural and social inclusion in relation to migrants and refugees is according to their experiences;• Working together in an intercultural environment where young people with different backgrounds will meet;• Providing up to date information about sexual diversity in relation to their new home countries (The Netherlands and Germany)• Equipping participants with skills, in self expression and to make interviews and radio presentations;• Creating a friendly and safe space for the youth participants to come up with a workshop in order to start expressing themselves on sensitive topics such as sexual diversity;• Learning youth what is the impact of Erasmusplus projects and YouthPass Certification;• Encouraging participants to create a workshop about themselves, their surroundings and how they see their future; We believe that the project will be life changing for the youth exchange participants and that it would change their opinions and minds about sexual diversity. It will be empowering for them to be surrounded with other migrants and refugees who have such different backgrounds but also the same future: a new life in The Netherlands and/or Germany.<< Activities >>Which activities do we implement? In this youth exchange we strive to meet several objectives in order to make it a succesfull project. The main elements of the youth exchange are to bring a group of young LGBT migrants and refugees from The Netherlands and Germany together and have them learn more of each others lifestyles and cultural differences. They will learn more about each others backgrounds by energizers, self expression, intercultural dialogue, workshops and cultural activities. The main objectives of the youth exchange:- Getting to know each other through introductionary games (energizers)- Presenting each partner country's situation and learn of each other's differences and discover similarities (intercultural dialogue);- Creating and developing new ideas, projects, workshops, including informative online tool, which can contribute to the learning process of their target groups;-Sharing diverse nonformal methods on how to deal with sexual diversity, through personal examples and roleplay; -Sharing diverse nonformal methods on how to deal with cultural diversity, through personal examples and roleplay; - Learning more about Amsterdam and the Netherlands through presentations and cultural activities;- Learning more about each others culinary traditions through ""Bonte Avond"" where participants present local dishes.- Learning how to share a personal story through stroytelling workshops;- Learning how to compile a coherent story through presenation and radio workshops;- Self reflection moments to work on personal objectives;- Cultural visits to the city of Nuremberg (also visits to the film festival);Total number of participants and profileThe total number of participants is 22, divided over APV (4, 2 project leaders and 2 youth participants) and 18 for the youth exchange itself (16 youth participnats and 2 project leaders). Participants profile: We aim to have topic-oriented participants who do not necessarily have experience in youth exchanges. Most of the participants are migrants and refugees who applied for asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation in The Netherlands and Germany. With this in mind, we try to select a gender balanced group of participants and also a group of people representing a wide range of the LGBTQ+ umbrella. In order to guide our target groups towards the main goals and objectives of the project, we will send out an open call and ask participants to apply for the project by sending a motivational statement and some biography details. We know that most of the refugeeswho are granted a status are placed throughout the country, in both The Netherlands as well as Germany. In order to spread the open call for participants, we will send it out through several social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), as well as our newsletters. One group leader + one participant per organization will attend an Advanced Planning Visit (APV) in Amsterdam were the proposed activity plan will be discussed. The youth participants will share their thoughts on the activity plan and the project leaders will take these comments in considerations and draft a new plan, based on the suggestions. As for the general overview of the participants, we have the holistic approach we will focus on the following preference: LGBTQ youth (18-30 years) with migrant and/or refugee background, who are interested in the following topics: gender, gender equality, sexual and cultural diversity, media, video and radio. The participants in the project will be selected by partner organisations. A couple of months before the youth exchange an information pack about the project with detailed information on exchange the venue, travel details and other practical details will be sent out to each participant. In the information pack, we will furthermore specify the profile of the participants. Also, contact details of group leaders are provided, so they can contact a group leader in case ofadditional questions. The project will probably include participants who all face fewer opportunities in order to encourage their inclusiveness. Many refugees face social obstacles, cultural differences and in some cases also financial obstacles. Partner organizations have workers skilled to work with young people with minority background who may face cultural or social obstacles. For example, Applicant organisation is working with different youth groups, including migrants, for us it is very important to equip our youth workers with skills, which will help them to deliver workshops keeping in mind their cultural, social or religious background. We will launch open calls to make the project known and attract possible participants. Furthermore, we will launch the open call through our respective newsletters and social media channels.<< Impact >>Impact on participantsThe desired impact on the participants is to gain more cognition about refugees and migrants and have the participants learn more about cultural diversity, sexual diversity and self-expression through radiomaking. They will attain practical skills in self-expression, learn more about each other's backgrounds and work with and for the wider audience, encourage and develop the “the team-spirit”. The youth exchange will change their values and attitudes to positive towards vulnerable groups, other identities and raise tolerance level. For participants, it is to gain new skills and tools to use in a nonformal way about their situation in different settings (schools, summer camps, youth exchanges). For them, it will be empowering to follow workshops on self-expression since many of the participants come from different countries where no such thing exists. It will make them more aware of their own identity and being. Our aim is to equip the participants with context-sensitive and bottom-up tools that pay attention to local features. The expected impact on participants will be:- To increase their competencies in nonformal education, how to practice it in youth field and act as rolemodels in their communities;- To provide them with tools and methods to encourage and involve young people into their organizational structures;- To create together new and innovative approaches to self-expression through radio and storytelling;- To provide them with information about Erasmus + and other sources for support to youth projects;- To provide them with space and time to set up common projects.Impact on participating organizationsThis project will strengthen international cooperation between all the partners and give opportunities to plan to follow up to explore the topic further. There is a strong link between the activities of Stichting art.1 and Radio Z since both organizations work with youth in cultural activities. But, it might be eye-opening to work in an international cooperation and learn from each others working methods. The gained knowledge will be transferred to inspire local stakeholders and partners, as they will get to know more about the project through radio broadcasting sessions. Impact on local stakeholders During the youth exchange in Amsterdam, local stakeholders will get invited to get to know more about the situation for LGBT refugees.Local and national level:- To promote and develop a discussion about the vulnerable position of LGBT refugees, gender identity and benefits of sexuality knowledge.- To create more awareness about cultural and sexual diversity by empowering LGBT rolemodels;- To create portraits for radio broadcasting by empowering participants to share their stories.- We will include the youth exchange within the framework of the Film Festival and therefore enlarging the scope and visibility of the project;European and international level:- To start working together with an organization abroad and share best-practices in the field of working with migrants and refugees youth;- To show that rolemodels also exist in times that people in Europe tend to think that refugees are 'a burden';- To come to inclusive ways of working with refugees and migrants, which could be shared with our European partners."

We have brought a strong coalition of partners together with specific expertise in the field of LGBT related issues, in media&video and in awareness campaigns. We consider the collaboration between these organizations as innovative and very strong. The organizations will learn how to effectively use video and narrative structures as a method for fostering awareness and acceptance regarding LGBT issues. Also, the partner organizations will be trained in transferring this knowledge to their target groups (youth workers and youngsters). Finally, sharing expertise, sharing good practices and training is the core of this strategic partnership project that will lead to two main outputs: toolkit and website. This project has several objectives, it:- provides useful tools for youth workers to open the discussion on LGBT issues with their youngsters - raises awareness regarding social inclusion, gender equality and protection of young LGBT people;- learns youth workers how to effectively use media, film and performing arts in awareness campaigns regarding LGBT issues and human rights issues in general;- builds strong Gay-Straight Alliances between LGBT organizations and non-LGBT organizations. The organizations will be strengthened by these alliance in general and they have a exemplary role in specific towards other organizations; - enables partnering organizations tools to execute awareness campaigns;- provides organizations the tools to involve more young LGBT people in the work to increase the visibility and acceptance of LGBTs in Europe;- builds strong network of LGBT organizations all over Europe, sharing of knowledge; - attracts better attention for the position of LGBTs, specifically in countries were it is less accepted; - empowers young LGBTs in countries where homosexuality is not accepted in general; - capacity building, organizations will be trained in how to use media in raising awareness etc.;- creates material for an effective EU educational awareness campaign, such as website and toolkit. The visibility of young LGBT people, by the website and toolkit, will empower other young LGBTs and lead to a more active and conscious EU citizenship.
