The main aim of setting up the Jean Monnet Chair in EU Policies is to stimulate wider debate on the future of European integration. The work program is very complex and the different activities have clear synergies. The teaching activities take place in all 3 cycles (BA, MA, postgraduate and doctoral levels). We will have 7 courses within the activities offered by the Chair. (We have also other courses which were not incorporated into this project proposal.) The accompanying events and deliverables are designed to deepen the dissemination of knowledge on European integration and especially on European economic governance and the impacts of EU level regional policies. The workshops, round table discussions, conference and research and publications activities are generating added value: the Chair will reach wider public. There will be a series of workshops on EU Policies organized on a monthly basis during the whole project. In addition, annual workshops will concentrate on the experiences of the Visegrad Countries in implementing EU regional transfers. The planned international conference can contribute to better understanding of EU level budgetary issues and a wider debate on the role of the EU budget and especially regional development transfers. The Chair will have an impact on developing new teaching materials and publications. One of the most important results would be the publication of a comprehensive book on EU regional policy and the common budget in English. The book can stimulate the Europe-wide discussion on EU level cohesion policy transfers. The other book will deal with new modes of economic governance and their impacts on political integration in Europe. The dissemination will be encouraged through internet platform with open access. This platform will contain all relevant research findings, connected materials and draft lectures and programmes and summaries of workshops.

CUB agrees with all the overall priorities of the Erasmus+ Program announced by the European Commission, and using the opportunities provided in the program, seeks to contribute to the achievement of the objective to increase employment and productivity and strengthen social cohesion within the EU and the member states. CUB defines itself as a research-oriented higher education institution, where the academic performance of the professors can be measured by international standards, and where students can obtain a degree which is competitive and recognised on the global labour market and competes with study programs which provide similar degrees. In order to achieve the aim: competitive university – outstanding and successful students – future employees with marketable skills, the commitment for internationalisation is laid down both in the EPS and in the Internationalisation Strategy (IS) of the CUB. By launching foreign language courses, training programs, joint and double degrees, and extending the services provided for participants, from the beginning of the 1990s CUB has placed great emphasis on the fact that more and more university citizens could have the opportunity to participate in different mobilities financed by the EU. CUB’s foreign relations, which are worldwide and significant, provide an opportunity for this. Using the relationships have developed for more than two decades and the resources provided by the EU, more and more outgoing and incoming students and lecturers have been able to join the program since 1998. CUB supports all types of mobility (study, internship, teaching and staff mobilities, both outgoing and incoming) offered by E+ KA1. 522 participants took part in the program in 2017-2018 and - due to the prolongation of the project - in 2018-2019. 410 outgoing and 420 incoming students participated in study programs, and 49 students completed internship abroad. 34 professors visited the partner institutions with the purpose of teaching, and 29 staff members improved their knowledge within the framework of Staff Weeks organised by partner universities, participated in intercultural, language and other kinds of professional trainings. An intercultural Staff Week for foreign partners was organised by CUB, with the attendance of 29 participants. CUB has exceeded its mobility numbers awarded at the start of the project of this period in the fields of teaching and administrative staff mobilities – requesting additional support in the latter two cases –, except the internship student mobility, while the number of outgoing students for the purpose of studies has been kept. The number of incoming students has also been increasing dynamically from year to year, thanks to the reputation of CUB and the increasing number of courses and study programs offered for them in foreign languages. Further enlargement of numbers can be achieved by expanding the existing capacities. The quality improvement of education has also been an ongoing intention of CUB, as well as obtaining international accreditations (EPAS, EAPAA) and by co-operating in international professional networks (CEMS, PIM). In the framework of service development, CUB has created an online system to manage the administrative process of the outgoing and incoming student mobility, improved the intercultural sensitivity of its colleagues dealing with foreign students, organised information events to promote the foreign training mobility scheme and other events (Erasmus Expo, information materials, posters) to promote the program in general. Regarding the personal and career development of the students participating in the program, a study abroad semester has a great relevance. It improves their opportunities on the labour market, but the majority of students also reported that in addition to the professional knowledge, their self-esteem and adaptability have also developed, they became more open towards other cultures and became more confident. After their return, they also influenced other student’s by promoting and transferring their acquired knowledge. Some of the professors gave lectures via university joint programs, participants with training related purposes got acquainted with good practices. Regarding the long-term impact of the program with the aims laid down in the IS, exploiting the great potential of participating in the program the university can reach a higher level of reputation. The steady growth of the outgoing and incoming students and professors encourages CUB to invest in the capacity and quality of its services. As a result, all these lead to a higher recognition of the offered programs, the diploma to be gained here, and the career perspectives CUB students look forward to.

The Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) agrees with all the overall priorities of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program announced by the European Commission, and using the opportunities provided in the program, seeks to contribute to the achievement of the objective to strengthen social cohesion between the EU program countries and the partner countries. CUB defines itself as a research-oriented higher educational institution, where the academic performance of the professors can be measured by international standards, and where students can obtain a degree which is competitive and recognised on the global labour market and competes with degrees which provide similar education. In order to achieve the aim: competitive university – outstanding and successful students – future employees with marketable skills, the commitment for internationalisation to be laid down in the EPS is necessary, as well. CUB supports all types of mobility (student mobility, teaching and administrative mobilities, both outgoing and incoming) offered by E+ KA107. During the evaluation of the mobility figures, it is also important to consider the fact that there was a structural change at CUB, and 3 of the former 6 faculties (namely the Faculty of Food Science, the Faculty of Horticulture and the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism) joined the Szent Istvan University on 1st January 2016. 2 outgoing and 26 incoming students participated in the learning mobility program. 8 professors visited the partner institutions with the purpose of teaching, the incoming teaching mobility was 2. 12 administrative staff members participated in intercultural and professional trainings at the partner universities, the number of the incoming staff mobility was 1. The number of incoming students has reached 26, thanks to the reputation of CUB and the increasing number of courses and study programs offered in foreign languages. Further enlargement of numbers can be achieved by expanding the existing capacities. The quality improvement of education has been realised by obtaining international accreditations (EPAS, EAPAA) and by co-operating in international professional networks (CEMS, PIM). In the framework of service development, CUB has created an online system to manage the outgoing and incoming student mobility, improving the intercultural sensitivity of colleagues dealing with foreign students, making the dissemination (workshop) of foreign training mobilities and promoted the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program (Erasmus Expo, information materials for outgoing and incoming students, posters, etc.). Regarding the personal and career development of the students participating in the program, a study abroad semester has a great relevance. It improves their opportunities on the labour market, but the majority of students also reported that in addition apart from the professional knowledge, their self-knowledge and adaptability has also developed, they became more open towards other cultures and became more confident. After their return, they also influenced other student’s by promoting and transferring their acquired knowledge. Some of the professors gave lectures via university joint programs which were held at partner universities, thus strengthening the university's relationships and strategic partnerships. For the younger professors, this is a great opportunity to test their teaching skills in a foreign environment, and to build professional contacts. Participants with study related purposes expanded their professional relationships, and got acquainted with good practices. Regarding the long-term impact of the program with the aims laid down in the strategy, the university can reach a higher level of internationalisation. This equals with the growth of the outgoing and incoming students and professors, and the increase of the level of services. As a result, this leads to a higher recognition of the diploma and the program, while improving of the graduates’ career opportunities.
