Erasmus + at the Technical University in Košice / thereafter TUKE / is based on almost two decades of experience with the Socrates Erasmus and LLP Erasmus mobility programs (KA103). This project is the third one (within second call for the projects) to be gained in the framework of calls for cooperation with partner countries (KA107) using administrative experience and the development of existing partnerships, within signed inter-institutional agreements with 1 HE institution in 1 country ( Morocco). The basis for all the activities associated with the realization of the program creates the TUKE International Relations Office (the Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations is the institutional coordinator of the project, the 2Erasmus+ Coordinators - 1 for KA103 and 1 for KA107, as well as 1 Financial Manager and the Commission consisting of faculty coordinators appointed separately for KA103 and KA107). Thus, at the faculty levels, the course of the program is ensured by faculty coordinators in co-operation with coordinators at the TUKE Rectorate level with university management support. The whole process is also incorporated into the Methodological Guidelines on the Scope of the TUKE and its faculties in the Erasmus+ European Community Program, which is part of the Annex to the Education and Training Directive. The aim is to internationalize education through the gradual transformation of TUKE into an international university by being able to flexibly respond to suggestions from teachers, employees and students – participants of mobilities from and to the TUKE partner countries.Realized Activities:Our university has been involved in the Erasmus+ KA107 Mobility of Individuals. During this project period, a total of 6 mobility participants with partner university Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Morocco of which 0 students and 6 teaching staff and employees mobilities were carried out. Teachers and employees in the number of 6 (4 from TUKE from EkF and 2 to EkF) realised their teaching mobilities. There were no training mobilities. Gender representation was male (4) and female (2): 67%: 33%. Plan was to realise 4 mobilities with partner country Morocco.Unfortunately, we were unable to carry out 3 planned mobilities with University of Balamand in Lebanon.Expectations have been and the results of the mobility are very positive, in most cases the signing of university or faculty cooperation agreements is one of the outcomes and there is an interest in continuingthe Erasmus+ program also in the future. So we can expect more interest in the future after this first years. The impact of teachers' mobility can be seen on changes in their approach to incoming foreign students and on the willingness to recognize subjects taken abroad.

The robotic complex "StarGate" was created in response to a request to design and deliver a device for the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) V1 in Jaslovské Bohunice for the fragmentation of 12 steam generators. To meet the NPP's requirements, a transdisciplinary team was assembled, consisting of experts in robotics, cybernetics, machining technologies, materials research, and nuclear energy. The synergy of specialists from all these key fields led to a unique solution with parameters and features that are beyond the current state of the art. The main differentiating parameters compared to the state of the art are as follows: • Higher production efficiency and work productivity, comparable even to flame cutting (cutting speed of 1.7 mm/s with a wall thickness of 140 mm). The complete fragmentation of a single steam generator (140 tons) took 45 days. • A higher level of process automation and intelligent optimization. • Minimal radiation exposure for workers. • Minimal aerosol generation and reduced spread of contamination to the surrounding environment. • Shorter fragmentation time, thereby reducing overall costs (The complete fragmentation of a single steam generator (140 tons) took 45 days). The interest of customers and the professional public in StarGate results from the current renaissance of the nuclear energy industry. The number of new NPPs being prepared for construction is increasing, which prompts the acceleration of the process of decommissioning old NPPs, both to create space in established locations for this type of industry, as well as to obtain higher efficiency of electricity production in new NPPs. According to today's data, there are almost 100 steam generators in the world awaiting fragmentation and further processing (IAEA). And we are ready to serve.
