InclusiveSpaces introduces co-design accessibility concepts, engaging people with disabilities and older people to improve inclusiveness, social cohesion and climate change mitigation and adaptation. It develops socially innovative solutions that foster universal design principles, empower diverse target-groups, and promote climate-friendly practices. Five essential planning and design tools will be developed to enhance accessibility and comfort: 1) a travel demand data collection and evaluation of accessibility tool, 2) a comfort-based accessibility mapping tool, 3) an accessibility routing tool tailored to visually impaired and mobility-impaired individuals, 4) a first-of-its-kind digitized tool for conducting accessibility audits in buildings and public spaces, and 5) a Universal Design Manual for the Built Environment, including Mobility Hubs. In addition, InclusiveSpaces develops advanced assistive technologies: 1) a Mobility Kiosk of shared electric wheelchairs powered by solar panels and providing shared mobility options to people with disabilities, 2) a device offering enhanced accessibility to beaches and waterfronts, 3) an Upright Tricycle providing inclusive personal mobility to people with reduced mobility, 4) and 5) Indoor and Outdoor Assistive Technologies enhancing the accessibility and mobility of people with disabilities. The InclusiveSpaces planning and design tools and the climate-friendly assistive technologies will be demonstrated, assessed, and evaluated in real-world demonstrations in 6 European cities and countries, including Athens-Penteli, Geneva, Madrid, Larnaka, Hamburg and Budapest. Project findings will be translated into actionable policies and recommendations. inclusiveSpaces is a project, and an initiative to standardize and digitize design frameworks towards a transition to an inclusive and climate-friendly built environment.

The vast potential of SAFE STRIP will be demonstrated through applications for: 1) Cooperative safety functions for enhanced ADAS/ARAS equipped and non-equipped vehicles, 2) Road wear level and predictive road maintenance, 3) Road work zones and railway crossings warnings, 4) Merging/intersection support, 5) Personalised VMS’/VDS’ and Traffic Centre Information, 6) Dynamic trajectory estimation and interface to automated vehicles, whereas it will open a new channel to a vast array of 7) Supportive added value services (such as Virtual Toll Collection and Parking booking and charging). It will be evaluated in a test bed in Spain and in France and 2 closed test tracks in Italy and in real life conditions in Greek and Italian highways, with 4 car and 3 PTW demonstrators. This very challenging task is undertaken by a muldisciplinary and complementary Consortium of 18 Partners from 6 countries, with a good representation of all stakeholders: 1 vehicle OEM (CRF), 1 PTW OEM (Piaggio), 2 system integrators and infrastructure installers (3M & CEA), 2 Tier 1 suppliers (CONTI & VALEO), 1 SME (RELAB), 8 R&D Institutes (CERTH, UNITN, UPAT, FhG/IAO, CNR, CIDAUT, CTI and ICCS) and 2 end users (ATTD and Α22) as beneficiaries, under the umbrella of ERTICO; thus providing further access to all key stakeholders in the area.

The main objectives of COG-LO are: (a) Definition of a Future Cognitive Logistics Objects reference implementation model that supports cognitive logistics behaviour; (b) Design and develop the necessary analytics and cognitive tools that enable complex event detection, context awareness and multi-criteria decision support. (c) To design and develop the collaboration platform based on hybrid ad-hoc social networks of CLOs. (d) To design and develop the COG-LO tools (Cognitive Advisor, which realizes the cognitive behavior of CLO based on the reference implementation model, and Tweeting CLOs, allowing CLOs to exchange information in ad-hoc Social IoT networks); (e) To evaluate the COG-LO results via intermodal, cross-country and urban logistics pilot operations. (f) To introduce new business models for ad-hoc collaborations affecting all logistics stakeholders and create a community of Logistics, ICT and urban environment stakeholders. The consortium is led by CNIT and consists of 14 partners from 8 countries.
