The implemented Jean Monnet Module was intended and, as I will show below in this Report, this project managed to improve the academic curricula with respect to the European Union policies and values, bringing into courses' content relevant topics, themes and issues and creating bridges between theory and practice, preparing youth for labor market not only with professional knowledge but also with abilities and skills for negotiation, job application, vocational orientation. We started by noticing there is a need on facing social problems like youth unemployment or youth migration and concluding there are many people affected in a direct or non-direct way about this problem. Bringing together the strategy of implementing EU’s objectives and directions on employment and educational policy we accomplished a dual research/teaching activity offering theoretical knowledge and employment skills through activities centered on:a research.scholar effort and an academic approach. We developed two academic courses as proposed and the courses will be part of the academic curricula in the following years as compulsory courses for the MA program Public Policies in the European Union at the Faculty of History, International Relation, Political Science and Communication from Oradea University. An International Conference was held as planned- bringing together academics, students, politicians and media, debating on labour market, labour mobility, education, values, youth issues, integration through education on labour market. A very successful international summer school took place in July 2017 using a modern methodology, challenging topics, simulating interviews, facing with real employers and head hunters, learning to create a CV, a letter of intention, to manage an interview and also visiting public institutions and private companies. After this activity some students were recruited by the employers and some of the students applied for other activities of this module (academic courses). All the information, scientific knowledge but also opinion and suggestion resulted from the debates and activities supported by this project were disseminated and shared with all participants and large public, through a dictionary of social terms and a volume comprising the most relevant papers presented in the conference. The deliverable became an important element of the academic references on EU themes.Focusing on the objective of promoting research in the EU social and educational area at academic level, strengthening teaching capacity of the Department of Political Science and Communication from Oradea University we contrived to the improvement of the European profile of the Department and of the University of Oradea, strengthening the relations and cooperation with other academic and institutions through activities as documentation stages, attending to conferences and seminaries and last but not least encouraging and engaging our students in a series of youth research and projects in the same area, materialized in conference papers, final graduation (Bachelor and Dissertation) papers with relevant topics. There is a preference for choosing Bachelor and dissertation themes related to EU social area. There are graduated students attending for doctoral programs on social EU topics as a result. The module it is to be considered a success and the two courses developed between 2015-2018 are part of the curriculum for further generation of students of MA study program at the Department of Political Science and Communication demonstrating the sustainability of the Jean Monnet project as well as the research on the topic of European values in education and applied to the labour market.

This strategic objective envisages strengthening the relations with partner universities and developing the Erasmus+ Programme. Thus, from the point of view of the Erasmus+ programme, as compared to the previous year, there has been an increasing number of student mobilities, from 172 to 244. Out of the two types of mobilities, the traineeship flows have highly developed, rising from 74 during the academic year 2016-2017, to 161 under this contract, that is, 101 mobilities over the initial estimate. On the other hand, we have noticed an increasing interest of the students in traineeship mobilities. As far as staff mobility is concerned, the total number of flows increased from 423 in the academic year 2016-2017, to 535 under this contract. The number of flows exceeded by 118 the figures initially estimated. In total, there have been 172 over the foreseen number of mobility flows.Due to their participation to the mobilities, the students managed to develop their language skills, to integrate to a different social and cultural environment. Thanks to the participation to traineeship mobilities, the students had the opportunity to acquire new professional skills. On the other hand, the staff teahing and training mobilities have contributed to the development of the curriculum, to approaching new teaching and learning methods, and to rendering the administrative process more efficient.
