    The Mobility Project of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), in the framework of the European Programme Erasmus+/Key Action 1 KA1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals-Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Type of Action KA107 - Higher education student and staff mobility between Programme and Partner Countries, comprises Student Mobility for Studies and Staff Mobility for Teaching and for Training. The Project's duration was 16 months, starting on 1sth June 2017 until 30 September 2018.A total of 20 mobilities were carried out during the collaboration of DUTH with partners the following 6 Institutions:1.Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov (Moscow, Russia) – Department of Greek Philology, DUTH-3 incoming staff mobilities for teaching-1 outgoing staff mobility for teaching-1 incoming student mobility for studies 2nd study cycle2.University of Belgrade (Belgrade, Serbia) - Department of Greek Philology, DUTH-4 incoming staff mobilities for teaching-7 outgoing staff mobilities for teaching3.University of Sydney (Sydney, Αυστραλία) – Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, DUTH-1 incoming staff mobility for training4.University of Louisville (Louisville, ΗΠΑ) – Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, DUTH-1 incoming staff mobility for training5.The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of the University of Georgia (Athens, Georgia, ΗΠΑ) - Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, DUTH-1 outgoing staff mobility for training6.The University of New Orleans (New Orleans, ΗΠΑ) - Department of Civil Engineering, DUTH-1 incoming staff mobility for teachingAt all the stages of the Project's implementation, the University's objectives for modernisation, internationalisation and extroversion, as well as, the needs and goals of all participants, were met. The complete harmonisation to the programme regulations and the proper funding management have been obtained.The quantitative goals were not absolutely achieved, as a total of 2 approved staff mobilities of the cooperation with the Shakarim State University of Semey (Kazakhstan) and 3 student mobilities, of the cooperation with the Moscow State University, Russia (1 outgoing mobility) and the University of Belgrade, Serbia (1 outgoing and 1 incoming were not carried out. However, an additional of 5 incoming (3 - Serbia and 2 - Russia) and 5 outgoing staff mobilities (Serbia) were performed by transfer of funds and amendment of the Inter-Institutional Agreements. Although the absorption of funds has not been fully achieved, the number of mobilities increased, and while the approved mobilities were 15, a total of 20 were completed.The qualitative goals of the Project have been achieved, by reinforcing the extroversion and the internationalisation of DUTh through attracting eminent scientists. New cooperation agreements have been consolidated, which continue to be selected and supported in the project of International Credit Mobility 2018-2019, and existing cooperation agreements have been enhanced and further developed. Furthermore, the links between the Institutions located in geographically isolated areas with restricted scientific and cultural interaction, were strengthened.

    The Mobility Project of Democritus University of Thrace, in the framework of European Programme Erasmus+/Key Action 1 KA1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals-Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Type of Action KA107 - Higher education student and staff mobility between Programme and Partner Countries, comprises Student Mobility for Studies and Staff Mobility for Training. The Project's duration was 16 months, starting on 1sth June 2015 until 30 September 2016. The partner country was Australia and the agreement implemented was with University of Queensland.Through all the stages of the Project's implementation there was satisfaction concerning the University's goals for modernisation, internationalization and extroversion, as well as, the needs and goals of all participants. There was care for the total harmonization to the programme's regulations and the proper funding management.The quantitative goals were achieved while all planned mobilities were realized. The number of participants in outgoing mobility activities was 1 staff member for training (STT) with a one week duration from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of DUTH to the School of Biomedical Sciences of the UoQ. The incoming mobility included 1 student of the 3rd cycle for studies (SMS) for a total of 3 months and 1 staff member for training (STT) with a duration of a week. It is worth mentioning that, although the initial approved mobilities were in a total number of 2 (1 outgoing STT - 1 incoming SMS), partners mutually decided the amendement of the initial agreement, in order to implement one more mobility (1 incoming STT). The qualitative goals of the Project have been achieved, by reinforcing the extroversion and the internationalization of DuTh through attracting prestigious scientists. A newly born cooperation was consolidated, which continues to exist in the project of International Credit Mobility 2016-2017. Furthermore, the links between the Institutions, that are placed in geographically isolated areas with restricted scientific and cultural interaction, were strengthened.

    The Mobility Project of Democritus University of Thrace, in the framework of the European Programme Erasmus+/Key Action 1 KA1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals-Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Type of Action KA107 - Higher education student and staff mobility between Programme and Partner Countries, comprises Student Mobility for Studies and Staff Mobility for Teaching and for Training. The Project's duration was 16 months, starting on 1sth June 2016 until 30 September 2017. The partner countries were Australia, United States and Russian Federation and the activities have been realized with the following Institutions:- University of Queensland (Australia) - University of Louisville (USA)- Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov (Russia)- Kazan Sate University of Architecture and Engineering (Russia)Through all the stages of the Project's implementation there was satisfaction concerning the University's goals for modernisation, internationalisation and extroversion, as well as, the needs and goals of all participants. The complete harmonisation to the programme's regulations and the proper funding management have been obtained.The quantitative goals were not achieved, as although all approved and planned staff mobilities have been realised, 7 student mobilities have not been achieved within the implementation of the agreed cooperation with Australia (1 student mobility) and Russia (4 student mobilities from/to Kazan and 2 student mobilities from/to Moscow).The two outgoing student mobilities that took place were from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, of 3-month duration each, one to the University of Queensland and one to the University of Louisville.The duration of the staff mobilities realised were of one week duration each.Realised incoming staff mobilities: 1 staff mobility for training from the University of Queensland and 1 staff mobility for training from the University of Louisville, to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Also, 1 staff mobility for training from the Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov to the Department of Greek Literature. Finally, 2 staff mobilities for teaching and 1 staff mobility for training from Kazan SUAE to the Department of Architectural Engineering.The outgoing staff mobilities realized were the following: 2 staff mobilities for training from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (1 to the University of Queensland and 1 to the University of Louisville), 2 staff mobilities for teaching from the Department of Architectural Engineering to Kazan SUAE, and 1 staff mobility for training to Kazan SUAE.The qualitative goals of the Project have been achieved, by reinforcing the extroversion and the internationalisation of DUTh through attracting eminent scientists. New cooperation agreements have been consolidated, which continue to be selected and supported in the project of International Credit Mobility 2017-2018, and existing cooperation agreements have been enhanced and further developed. Furthermore, the links between the Institutions located in geographically isolated areas with restricted scientific and cultural interaction, were strengthened.
