This action supports physical and blended mobility of higher education students and staff from EU Member States and third countries associated to Erasmus+ to any country in the world. Students in all study fields and cycles can take part in a study period or traineeship abroad. Higher education teaching and administrative staff can take part in professional development activities abroad, as well as staff from the field of work in order to teach and train students or staff at higher education institutions.Mobility consortium descriptionWe had consortium accreditation in 2015 and 2018 and our project had been accepted that year. In the first Consortium 52 students and 5 staff and in the second one 27 students and 4 staff used mobility opportunity. In the last one we have sent 30 students and 1 staff. Also we prepared software bringing companies and participants together in one database.Youth employment has grown in prominence on national and global development agendas. The youth employment challenge has its own dimensions especially during pandemic times and confronts countries worldwide regardless of their stage of socio-economic development. The underlying problems are the large number of young people entering the labor markets every year, the lack of employment opportunities, in particular in poor economies and post-conflict countries, and the low quality of education and training without a proper link to the labor markets. This is why the ERASMUSTERN consortium aims at outlining the dimensions of the issue, the motives for intervention, and the possibilities of improving youth employment through cross-sectorial cooperation. This cross-sectorial approach is perfectly in line with AGU’s identity as a state university (public and formal educational sectors), putting Youth at its core and having therefore built a Youth Factory (non-formal sector) and being supported by a private foundation composed of renowned Turkish CEOs (private sector). AGU is an active member of a European network called “Eurodesk” which is the main provider of information on European policies and opportunities for young people and those who work with them. The information given here aims to inform the target group of these developments and provide sources, which will allow the reader to follow the debates on these key issues at European level. It is accredited by the National Agency for European Voluntary Service and is the only institution at the regional level. Young volunteers are given the opportunity to contribute to the daily work of Youth Factory dealing with youth information and policies, young people's personal and socio-educational development, civic engagement, social care, inclusion of disadvantaged, environment, non-formal education programmes, ICTs and media literacy, culture. Having the expertise in the field, network of young people and experienced staff on Erasmus + Program and youth, AGU will be gathering all Kayseri Universities, Sivas Cumhuriyet University and Sabancı University together with outstanding Chamber of Trade Commerce (KTO), Chamber of Industry and ÜSAİV as partners. “This Consortium aims to bring Anatolia to the world and the world to Anatolia!”The aim of the consortium is to empower Anatolian young people, young academics and administrative staff to have an international employment experience.Main activities will be;- Innovative application process, designed to be “ user/youth friendly” which encourages all students/academics and administrative staff to understand the process and apply.- New selection process, involving partners, will be transparent from the very beginning. - Pre-departure programme (linguistic support, intercultural learning) to prepare applicants for intercultural experience. - Recognition of the internship period will be guaranteed. - Establishing an online management system of the consortium to monitor the internship period.- Design and launching of a database.- Assigning the academic tutors and HR/contact person of the company as a mentor of each internship project. - Design, produce and purchase promotion material (boards, brochures, guides, flyers).- High visibility events to promote the program. - Participating and supporting events organized by consortium partners and foreign partners (such as youth festivals, career days, etc.) to disseminate the traineeships and the staff mobility opportunities, as well as to exploit the results.- Dissemination of the consortium through; publishing a “Youth Employment through empowering young people by Erasmus +, with Kayseri perspective”, - Lobbying events in order to widen our network.- Encouragement of future interns and recognition of the effort done during the internship period “Career Kitchen Promotion Day” will be held. - Evaluation stages of the consortium will be through monthly meetings of the partner team, annual meeting with the Representatives. - Quality assessment of the internship period will be carried out by the feedbacks of the students along with the hosting institutions/companies. A teamwork of 5 universities Erasmus + offices and Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Industry and ÜSAİV Foundation is established. Each partner has EU networks, projects besides its national network. All universities have close collaboration with private sector. All EU programs offices of partners will benefit from this program by enhancing their network, human capacity and quality assessment.

"We are Abdullah Gul University and we decided to put ""Youth"" in the core of our university. Different from other Universities, AGU defines itself as a ""third generation"" University, puts emphasize to ""social impact"" with its rich educational and research background.AGU has just established a youth work structure, which is unique with its approach, within the University. Our aim is to involve young people in the core of our structure. Therefore, one of our main step is to have EVS volunteers in our team and establish long term international cooperation within the youth structure. As AGU, we designed the project to empower you and youth. Volunteers will develop their own capacities and competences by non-formal learning and through their service they will also empower young people of Kayseri. Moreover, volunteers will organize information meetings, seminars and conferences in the university and city to empower young people. We are going to host 2 volunteers from United Kingdom for 10 months in Kayseri, Turkey between the dates September 2015 till July 2016. Young people with social, educational and economical disadvantages will be our first choice to involve in our project and these volunteers will be actively involved in the empowerment of other disadvantaged young people in a different country with different background and problems and we are planning to achieve the empowerment for the volunteers themselves through helping others. We believe that this will result as their future participation in their local community. The project will prove that volunteering will be used as an inclusion and empowerment tool for these kind of disadvantaged young people and same approach will be encouraged for other organizations to implement in their projects as well."
