    ERAMCA project introduces in the Partner Countries an interdisciplinary approach to the complex problem of environmental risk assessment and reduction on Cultural Heritage assets in Central Asia. The project starts with an investigation of the local needs in Partner Countries and transforms those requests into a curriculum of a Master (120 ECTS), a digital library where all the teaching materials (e.g. books, hypertexts, video, best practices) related to the courses planned for the Master are stored and freely accessible by everyone. The project foresees the realization of 4 specialized laboratories for the activation, in each of the Universities of the Partner Countries, of a Pilot Course to test the effectiveness of the didactic project with the users and eventually apply the appropriate corrections that will allow to draw up the didactic plan definitive. The laboratories will remain available to the Universities participating in the project for the systemization of the educational project in the institutional training activities.The UNESCO Office of Tashkent and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan participate as associated partners to drive the project towards an internationally accepted standard and a real understanding of local needs. They will test if the achieved results will fit the real needs of the involved Partner Countries.The main envisaged impacts are the introduction into the Partner Countries HEIs of an interdisciplinary approach to solve complex problems that are of prominent local interest, the introduction of internationally accepted concepts on Conservation of Cultural Heritage assets, the correct comprehension of the environment actions on the Conservation of Cultural Heritage assets, and the growing up of the skills of a significant group of local teachers.

    he project primarily aims on the modernization of Tajik humanities by developing, implementing and accreditation a trans-disciplinary Master degree program “European studies” at Tajik National University (TNU), and by developing European Studies modules for implementation into existing programs at Tajik State University for Law, Business and Politics Khujand, and State Universities of Khorog and Danghara, thus reaching all regions of Tajikistan. The employability of graduates, and thus the relevance of the humanities themselves, will be enhanced by fundamental methodological modernization. Indeed, the “cultural” and “spatial turns” that has made modern regional studies suitable for globalization should be adapted to the specific needs of Central Asia. After the end of the project the Master program will be taken over by a sub-consortium of NTU, Russian-Tajik Slavonic University and Academia of Science of Republic Tajikistan. The program serves as a methodological template for other degree programs in the region. Tajik ministry of education and Science will support the implementation of the program by joining the consortium.A European Studies Resource Center in Dushanbe and three smaller Resource Points in Khujand, Danghara and Khorog will be founded, and equipped, serving as distance learning and information points for students, teaching staff, researchers and the wider public, thus promoting information about the EU and Europe, people-to-people contacts, intercultural awareness and understanding.As a side-effect ECTS and the Bologna process will be promoted by applying the full scope of Bologna declaration including outcome-orientation, encouraging international mobility, involving students’ body and establishing a QA system.Form European side the Technische Universität Dresden (DE, as grantholder), Tartu Ülikool (ES) and Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci (CZ) will join the consortium.
