assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:UAV, UAVUAV,UAVFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2015-1-RO01-KA103-014118Funder Contribution: 144,304 EUR"The project was a mobility project, both for students and for teachers and non-academic teaching staff. It took place over 24 months and covered all types of mobilities: study and placement for students, teaching and training for teachers and non-teaching staff. The initial period was 16 months, but it was prolonged, in order to achieve a greater number of mobilities and to increase the absorption of the funds received by the university. The main objectives of the project were: to promote the educational offer of Aurel Vlaicu University in the European territory, to promote the research capacity; to increasing the visibility of the institution in the European academic system; to ensure close cooperation between teaching and research activities; to increase the number of students, teachers and non-teaching staff who, due to their mobility, have an active role in implementing an international dimension in the university curricula, in providing high quality services to all students; developing partnerships with universities and companies abroad. For its promotion, the university organized several meetings with the students, following which they became acquainted with the notion of ""Erasmus student"". The project was also promoted in the media through articles published by local newspapers and TV stations. The selection of candidates was announced in advance, all the selection information being published on the University's website and displayed at the secretariats of all the faculties and at the Erasmus+ office. The selection of students, a process that has been carried out in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner, at each faculty in particular, has been dealt with by a selection/evaluation committee at the faculty level. Regarding teaching and non-teaching staff, their selection was made by the Erasmus Commission at the university level, based on the applications submitted. The participants were supported in the preparation of all mobility documents and during the mobility period they were monitored by the institutional coordinator and the departmental coordinators. After completing the mobility, the students were recognized and equaled the credits obtained at the partner university, and for didactic/non-teaching staff their activities in the teaching/training mobilities werw recognized.Several partners were involved in the project. There were involved several universities from 12 European countries with which UAV has concluded cooperation agreements, but also private organizations. The number of participants in this project was 77, of which 46 students (38 in study mobility and 8 in placement mobility) and 31 teachers and non-teaching staff (12 in teaching mobility, 19 in training mobility).Running this project has helped the university to bring its educational act to a level of quality and efficiency comparable to that of prestigious European universities. The mobilities of students, teachers and non-academic staff abroad (by attending courses, conducting practical internships, exchanging experience) can be considered as effective means for transferring know-how to the University and for promoting its image with wide international openness."

It represents, on the one hand, a continuation of the collaboration through the Erasmus program of our institution with 2 institutions in Albania and Serbia (Sport University of Tirana, respectively Preschool Teacher Training College Vrsac), but also the debut, within the Erasmus program, of collaboration with other non-European institutions (from Belarus, India, Taiwan). The 19 mobilities carried out in the academic year 2018-2019 have led to the consolidation of the relations between the UAV and the partner institutions. The main objectives of the project were: to promote the educational offer of the UAV in the non-European territory, of the research capacity, to increase the visibility of the institution in the non-european academic environment, to ensure a close cooperation between the teaching and research activity, the increase of the number of students, teachers and non-teachers who, due to the mobilities performed, have an active role in implementing an international dimension in the university curricula, in providing high quality services to all students, developing partnerships with unversities from non-European countries, integrating good practices of partners in educational plans. The project took place over a period of 16 months and included study, teaching and training mobilities for teachers and non-teaching staff. In its development, UAV was partner with 5 universities - one from Albania, Belarus, India, Serbia and Taiwan. The number of mobilities for which UAV received funding has been realized, but the initial project has undergone some changes, made known to the National Agency and approved by it. At the ""study mobility"" action, the number of incoming mobilities increased and the number of outgoing mobilities decreased, by reversing the flow and allocating money from the transfer from SOM. Also, the action of ""teaching mobility"" increased the number of incoming mobilities and decreased that of outgoing mobilities, also by reversing the flow and allocating money from SOM. Of the total mobilities, 7 were students (1 outgoing, 6 incoming), 12 teachers and non-teachers (4 outgoing teaching mobility, 1 outgoing training mobility, 5 incoming teaching mobility, 2 incoming training mobility). In order to promote this project, UAV organized several meetings with its students, during which they were offered information about partner universities, but also meetings with teaching staff to inform teachers about UAV partners and the mobilities that can be carried out. The partners also held events to inform their participants about the Erasmus program at the UAV.All the responsibilities of the UAV and of the partners - related to the selection, organization, monitoring, recognition - were based on the principles of the Erasmus program, according to the procedures used by the UAV and which were sent and learned by the partners. The selection of participants was conducted in a transparent and non-discriminatory way, the information about the selection being published on the university's website and displayed at the faculty secretariats and at the university's Erasmus office. All financial responsibilities have come to UAV. The contracts were signed between UAV and each participant, the grants being granted to them in due time. Also, the organizational support was divided between UAV and partners based on memorandum of understanding signed with them. The partners supported the participants (both incoming and outgoing ones) in drawing up all the mobility documents, in obtaining visas, for their accommodation during the mobility period. The participants were monitored by both the home and the host university, being supported before, during and after the mobility. All participants were offered logistical support for their integration, the partners organizing various events to accommodate them. The UAV procedure regarding the recognition of mobilities was learned and applied by the partners. The students were given the credits obtained in mobility and the teachers / non-teaching staff were recognized the activities carried out in the teaching / training mobilities.Outgoing mobilities were effective means for transferring know-how from the university and for promoting the image of a university with a wide international openness. The participants contributed to ensuring the continuity of the process of preparing the future mobilities. Their experiences were presented at the faculty and university level, by organizing information and dissemination sessions. Based on the skills acquired by the participants, UAV is considering new partnerships with non-European universities."

Our partner, within this project, was Sports University of Tirana, the only higher education institution of its kind in Albania. Collaboration with the partner university - materialized through mutual visits of institutions, by organizing and participating in cultural and educational events – has began several years ago, and the Erasmus+ programme strengthened the cooperation in the field of mobility. Mobility participants had the opportunity to exchange views on the best teaching methods, updating the curriculum, and expanding collaborative relationships to new areas of common interest. The main objectives of the project were: to promote the educational offer of AVU in the non-European territory, the research capacity; increasing the visibility of the institution in the non-European academic system; ensuring close co-operation between teaching and research activities; increasing the number of students, teachers and non-teachers who, due to their mobility, have an active role in implementing an international dimension in the university curriculum, in providing high quality services to all students; developing partnerships with universities from non-European countries, integrating partners' best practices into curricula. The project took place for 16 months and included teaching and training mobilities for teachers and non-teaching staff. The number of mobilities performed exceeded the number of mobility provided in the financial contract. AVU’s partner in the project was Sports University of Tirana, which ensured an incoming mobility of teaching, AVU providing 2 teaching mobilities and one training mobility. In order to promote the project, the UAV organized several meetings with non-teaching and teaching staff from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports (the only one from which the participants could be selected, the Erasmus agreement with the partner university being only in this field of study - Sport). They were provided with information about the partner university at its courses. The partner also held several events to inform participants about the Erasmus+ programme at about AVU. All AVU’s and partner’s responsibilities - related to selection, organization, monitoring, recognition - were based on the principles of the Erasmus+ programme, according to the procedures used by AVU and sent and received by the partner university. The selection of the participants took place in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner, the selection information being published on the university's website and displayed at the FEFS secretariat and the Erasmus + office of the university. All financial liabilities have come to AVU. The contracts were signed between the AVU and each participant, the funds being granted to them in a timely manner. Also, the organizational support (OM) was shared between AVU and the partner, based on a signed memorandum of understanding. The participants were supported by the host university and by partner in drawing up all mobility documents, in the formalities for their accommodation during the mobility period. The partners recognized the participants' activities in their teaching /training mobility. The achieved mobilities have led to the enrichment of the personal and professional experience of the participants, the extension of the collaboration relations between the institutions participating in the project, the improvement of the quality of the educational process and the development of the participants' competences. All participants contributed to ensuring the continuity of the process of preparing for future mobilities. Their experiences were presented at faculty and university level, by organizing information sessions.
