Piezoelectricity in two-dimensional (2D) materials is increasingly important because of its potential in realizing thin yet efficient and flexible piezoelectric devices. In contrast to traditional three-dimensional (3D) piezo- and ferroelectrics that are prone to size effects, piezoelectricity in 2D materials may be controlled by flexoelectricity and interfaces thus providing significant piezoelectric effect in ultrathin films and crystals. Equally important, the majority of 2D layered piezoelectrics found so far possess in-plane piezoelectricity and require bending of flexible substrates to activate piezoelectric effect. This severely limits their integration with modern Si technology. This project aims at strengthening the piezoelectric activity in 2D materials via interface and stress engineering and bond control in order to reach the maximum efficiency and other relevant figures of merit. The materials list includes hafnium-zirconium oxide (HZO), transition metal thio/selenophosphates (TPS), graphene on oxide substrates, and polymer PDVF. A comprehensive investigation of piezoelectricity in these 2D materials and their relevant device performance is still at an initial stage and needs European support. Concerning piezoelectric energy harvesting, Piezo2D will build a technology to provide local energy generation (microgenerators) from the nm- to the micro-scale to power nano- and microdevices. Piezo2D will do so by enhancing and deploying the combined powers of equilibrium and nonequilibrium thermodynamics and atomistic models with device physics and engineering. Research results will underpin future developments of nanoscale energy devices for decades to come. We will also develop new characterization techniques and metrology-inspired protocols aiming at future standards and their use in the industry. The multidisciplinary approach of Piezo2D brings together leading teams in theoretical physics, materials science, chemistry and instrumentation working in synergy

"<< Objectives >>This project is a great opportunity for participants and partners to participate in unconventional action, open to new cultures, develop skills and competences and at the same time undertake a very important topic. The main goal of the ""Act it Out"" project is to contribute to the personal development of 20 young people aged 18-25 and 5 group leaders without age restrictions from 5 European countries: Armenia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary. Youth exchanges will allow participants to gain new knowledge and skills that they will use in their future careers or personal lives. The beneficiaries of the project are also young people who will learn its results and will be more aware of the importance of activity and personal development opportunities. The project responds to the need for dialogue on topics relevant to today's youth. Project participants are people sensitive to social issues, wanting to talk about problems that young people face every day, making external recipients aware of what it means to be a young person today. Participants want to use the film as a tool for ""translating reality"" because they believe that it allows you to express yourself regardless of their scriptwriting, recording, acting or editing skills. In addition, young people need to spend time together, build relationships, gain new experiences, take on the extraordinary challenge of not only talking about difficult topics, but also making films and jointly organizing the final event.<< Activities >>One activity is planned - youth exchange.Place: Rzeszów, INPRO headquarters.Time: March 21-27, 2021Work methods:Participants will take part in activities based on informal education methods, such as role playing, discussions, brainstorming, and teamwork. Participants have already played an active role in the preparation of the exchange program. We know from previous experience that these methods have proved to be the most effective in encouraging young people to participate in workshops, open themselves, look at workshop topics from different perspectives, form their own opinions and not judge others. During the workshops, a friendly atmosphere will be ensured and participants will be actively involved in the entire exchange.<< Impact >>The action will positively affect the self-confidence of young people and will motivate to take further initiatives developing valuable individuals. We expect that after returning home, project participants will be more willing to engage in NGO activities, become more confident and better prepared to work in a team and carry out subsequent projects. Thanks to participation in the venture, young people will discover their potential, find new motivation to learn and devote themselves to their passions, based on which they will build their careers."

"<< Objectives >>We want to implement this project because unfortunately the idea of united Europe still does not cover all European countries. Thus, some spacesand areas outside the EU are slightly ""exotic"" for its young citizens, and therefore also slightly less available. What is more, the youth from the other side of the border living outside the EU, due to visa regimes, economic and social differences, unfortunately has difficult contact with their peers from EU countries. Social studies and humanities show that only through interpersonal contacts and direct interactions individuals are able to overcome mutual prejudices and stereotypes. The project has the following objectives:- personal development of young people, development of intercultural competences, overcoming language barriers and acquiring the skills of intercultural cooperation and team work, as well as acquiring the skills of public speaking- to get acquainted with the culture, tradition and history of south-eastern Poland and Transcarpathian Ukraine- familiarization and workshops with the ""oral history"" method allowing to learn about the local micro-history from the perspective of the inhabitants explored as part of the project of the town- to get young people acquainted with the natural and cultural heritage of the Eastern Carpathians in Transcarpathian region- to promote international cooperation and the Erasmus Plus program- to develope creativity and the ability to work with new technologies among young people<< Activities >>The project foresees advanced planning visit and a youth exchange , which will take place on 7 - 16 September 2019 in the city of Użok in Ukraine. Young people from Poland will have two additional days to travel to the resort and return home. The exchange will be attended by representatives, volunteers and beneficiaries of all partner organizations of the project, a total of 24 people. Each partner will play an active role in the implementation of the exchange program, conducting workshops for young people, organizing classes or coordinating specific dissemination activities.<< Impact >>Thanks to the project, the youth will develop new passions and skills, in the future will be more motivated to engage in the social life of their own local communities. By getting to know and mastering the tools of ""oral history"" he will also gain a tool to discover and activate the local identity from their own backgrounds of origin. In addition, the Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange will positively influence the overcoming of the still living mutual prejudices and stereotypes between Poles and Ukrainians. The project will also significantly affect partner organizations, it will be the beginning of further cooperation for the promotion of intercultural dialogue, active lifestyle and the search and maintenance of cultural identity."

"<< Objectives >>The youth exchange entitled “Boost the European feeling” will have a duration of 10 months (01.06.2022 - 30.03.2023) so that the activities undertaken in the preparation, implementation, dissemination and follow-up phase will be of quality. The project will involve 60 young people of Ukrainian ethnicity, aged between 18 and 30 from both Romania and Ukraine. The idea for this project came after a meeting of young Ukrainians in Romania that took place in the summer of 2021. This 3-day meeting was organized by the Union of Ukrainians in Romania in order to create cohesion between young Ukrainians scattered in different parts of the country and to be able to see what their needs are and what actions we, as an organization, could take to help them. We identified that one of the biggest needs that young people of Ukrainian ethnicity in Romania have is the desire to learn more about the European Union, especially regarding the common values of the European Union, but also the principles of unity and diversity. Moreover, young people want to build an intercultural dialogue with young people from Ukraine. Following the discussions with them, they expressed their desire to have the chance to get to know their heritage better, both socially, culturally and historically. Young people of Ukrainian ethnicity have had the chance to participate in formal events organized together with young people from Ukraine, but they expressed their desire to organize a rather non-formal event. The aim is to create a suitable and safe space to give young people of Ukrainian ethnicity the chance to build a closer community and networking, while improving their knowledge of democratic life and the European Union.Objectives:1.Throughout the project, the 60 young people will learn about democratic life, the European Union and the importance of engagement in a democratic society.2. By the end of the project, the 60 participants will feel “more European” (realizing, at the same time, how important their ethnic value is) and more eager to be actively involved in their communities, both in civic and social life and politics.3. During the project, the 60 young Ukrainians will learn how to be more active in social and / or political life, will practice critical thinking and will put into practice methods of highlighting and protecting ethnic values and rights.<< Implementation >>The main activity of youth mobility entitled ""Boost the European feeling"" will take place in Tulcea in July 2022 between 18-25. This activity will bring together a total of 60 young Ukrainians from Romania and Ukraine. Each national group consists of 14 participants and a group leader, aged between 18 and 30 years. Also, 3 facilitators will be present who will coordinate the implementation of the sessions and activities. The selection process will be transparent. In selecting the group, the criteria ensured non-discriminatory participation, offering the same opportunities regardless of gender, religion, sexual orientation, political opinion, etc. We gave priority to young people with limited opportunities, those with no experience in the world of Erasmus + and those who had been involved in writing the project from the beginning.Because the Union of Ukrainians in Romania has several branches throughout the country and, implicitly, there are several young people who want to participate, we decided to do a small selection process, coordinated by the group leaders and the presidents of the organization. To be fair, each group leader and chairperson will select young people from the other country. We decided to use an application form.Together with our partner we decided that young people who want to take part in the project should meet the following criteria:-to be motivated and open to learn more about democratic life, its values, but also about the European Union and its values-to need this project (to have the desire to evolve in the field of the project and to create a strong networking with other young people of the same ethnicity)-a strong motivation to participate-no experience in E + projects-they are part of the organizations that take part in the creation and implementation of the project-to be actively involved in all stages of mobilityQuestions on the application form: What is your motivation for participating in this youth exchange? How many local social and / or political activities have you taken part in so far? What are the biggest challenges you feel being Ukrainian? What are your views on democratic values? What is your knowledge of the European Union and its values? etc.In terms of the activities, we have chosen to implement various sessions, using both formal and non-formal learning methods. To support conscious learning and to ensure that participants benefit from the project, we have developed a complex and interactive program with our partner and facilitators. The methods we have chosen and described in the project are methods that have already been used and tested in other projects by other trainers, both locally and internationally. Therefore, we are confident that the methods chosen are appropriate for the environment we will create during this mobility. Thus, we will use the following methods: getting to know each other, team-building sessions, ice-breakers, individual work, teamwork, research, lectures, presentations, debates, Ikigai method, Life Line, role play, etc. We consider it important to emphasize the activity in the community in which the participants will have the chance to take part in a meeting within the Tulcea City Hall.<< Results >>During the discussions with our partner from Ukraine, we were able to outline those elements that we could implement so that participants are better informed about the European Union and how to maintain ethnic identity in the context of European diversity, while respecting obviously the democratic values.Starting from this idea, below is the list of knowledge, skills and attitudes that we believe the 60 participants will improve by getting involved in all project activities (preparation, implementation, dissemination and follow-up).A. Knowledge- understanding the structure of the European Union and how it works- a brief overview of the history of the creation of the European Union- familiarization with the institutions of the European Union- familiarization and understanding of the concept of democracy- familiarization with the concept of ""European citizen""- understanding the EU accession process- understanding the motto ""Unity in diversity""- traversing all European values- familiarization with the opportunities offered by the various programs within the European Union- understanding of the Erasmus + Program and the opportunities offered by this program- participants will understand how important it is to preserve their ethnic values in the context of diversity at European level- understand the importance of being actively involved in policy making- participants will learn more about their rights and how they can exercise those rights- participants will become familiar with non-formal education- the 8 key competencies and Youthpass- understanding the Erasmus + environmentSkills-capacity to exercise rights-the ability to organize and implement local activities with and for young people about the EU, Erasmus +, democratic and European values-the ability to launch campaigns that take into account European values- ability to give coherent speeches- the ability to discuss issues related to democracy, the EU, European values, etc.- ability to implement non-formal methods- be able to recognize and use their strengths- to become a voice in their community on the subject of democracy and pro-Europe attitude- to be promoters of democracy and the EU- finding new development opportunities for their communities- Erasmus + promotionattitudes- raising awareness of the European context-aware of the importance of being active in one's own communities both socially and politically- understanding that they can exercise their rights- a positive attitude towards the EU and European values, which does not want to erase ethnic / national values, but to create unity- to feel more empowered to become promoters of democracy-will be motivated to get involved in their own communities and organize activities- they will be more aware of the political environment- they will believe in their ability to overcome obstacles and act effectively in their community-the desire to help other young people in their communities by the opportunities offered by E +In addition to improving the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the participants, we will also focus on creating results that we can share with other young people, in our own communities and in our organizations. We have established that we will have at least 2 concrete results at the end of the project:Video about our project:-we will film parts of the project-we will film different specific dissemination activities-we will create a script for the video: we will choose whether to make it as a serious instructional video, or as a funny one, with more animation, etc.- testimony to the participants about the projectVideo about the European Union and Erasmus +- filming certain parts of our project - even whole sessions- filming of young people standing in front of the camera and saying interesting things about the European Union and Erasmus +"
