Through the eHealth Eurocampus project IT and health professionals were trained for the challenge of fostering a spirit of innovation in eHealth in Europe as the way forward to ensure better health and better and safer care, and relevant material was developed and is now available for other schools to benefit from it. The main objectives of the eHealth Eurocampus were to improve the relevance and quality of higher education in the field of ICT applications for health, to foster employability through curricula adaptation to labour market needs and to develop entrepreneurship skills. The project partners included 8 higher education institutions, which represented 7 IT schools (Barcelona School of Informatics, Polytechnic School of the Balearic Islands, Polytech Engineer School of Montpellier, ISIS Engineering School of Castres, Glyndwr University of Wales, Hochschule Ulm, and the Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus) and 3 medical schools (Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the Balearic Islands, Medical School of Cyprus, Sant Joan de Déu School of Nursing - Barcelona), a regional centre of technological development and entrepreneurship promotion (Bit Foundation of Mallorca), and a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean). The consortium represented different European health management systems, which was an asset to form professionals aware of the European diversity in this area and prepared to adapt themselves to different environments and to find jobs outside their own country.The eHealth Eurocampus implemented new and innovative teaching methods that were previously tested through three Summer Schools and are now available to be used on different master courses. They cover all the main areas of eHealth: Innovation and Entrepreneurship in eHealth, IT for a Longer Independent Life, eHealth Applications and Tools, Robotics for Healthcare, and Graphics and Medical Imaging.The project direct beneficiaries were IT and health students and teachers, who have received special training, as well as patients in general, in particular elderly people and people with physical and cognitive disabilities, who will benefit from the outcomes of the research conducted within the consortium. The results and dissemination activities were designed to ensure that the eHealth Eurocampus has an impact on both participating and outside organisations. This action supports physical and blended mobility of higher education students and staff from EU Member States and third countries associated to Erasmus+ to any country in the world. Students in all study fields and cycles can take part in a study period or traineeship abroad. Higher education teaching and administrative staff can take part in professional development activities abroad, as well as staff from the field of work in order to teach and train students or staff at higher education institutions.

Die Internationalisierung ist für die Technischen Hochschule Ulm von wesentlicher Bedeutung. Die EU-Bildungsprogramme, einschließlich Erasmus +, gehören zu den wichtigsten Maßnahmen zur kontinuierlichen Förderung der Internationalisierung und der Weiterentwicklung der internationalen Dimension an der Technischen Hochschule Ulm. Die THU verfügt über ein gut ausgebautes internationales Netzwerk, das die Mobilität von Studierenden und Mitarbeitern auf allen Ebenen fördert. Eines der wichtigsten strategischen Ziele der Hochschule ist die Qualitätsverbesserung in Studium, Forschung, Lehre und Verwaltung durch institutionelle und personelle Internationalisierungsmaßnahmen. Dies basiert auf der Überzeugung, dass sich ein Auslandsaufenthalt nachhaltig und charakterbildend auf die Studierenden und Mitarbeitenden auswirkt. In Bezug auf die Personalentwicklung unterstützt die Hochschule ausdrücklich internationale Aufgaben für Lehrkräfte und Mitarbeiter. Die Strategie, ein Team von mehreren Kollegen an eine Partneruniversität zu schicken, hat sich als äußerst motivierend erwiesen.Die Ziele, die sich die Technische Hochschule Ulm für die Vertragslaufzeit gesetzt hat, konnten auf der Seite derStudierendenmobilität in dem genannten Zeitraum vollständig realisiert werden. Insgesamt konnten auf Seiten derStudierendenmobilität 21 statt der geplanten 19 Mobilitäten gefördert werden.Auch auf Seiten der Dozierenden- und Personalmobilität konnten in der Gesamtheit alle geplanten Mobilitätendurchgeführt werden. Im Bereich STA konnten 5 und im Bereich STT konnten 16 Mobilitäten durchgeführt werden(Bewilligt wurden 5 STA-Mobilitäten und 13 STT-Mobilitäten).Das ERASMUS+ Programm erfreut sich an der Technischen Hochschule Ulm inzwischen großer Beliebtheit.Insbesondere im Bereich der Mitarbeitenden-Mobilität gehen zunehmend mehr Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter insAusland. Dies ist u.a. bedingt durch die positiven Erfahrungen der zurückkehrenden Kolleginnen und Kollegen.Einen entscheidenden Beitrag zur Studierendenmobilität leistet der Studiengang Internationale Energiewirtschaft.Dieses innovative Projekt der Technischen Hochschule Ulm beinhaltet ein Pflichtstudiensemester an einerausländischen Partnerhochschule nach Wahl. Das ERASMUS+ Programm trägt zu der Erhöhung der Mobilität derStudierenden in hohem Maße und dadurch zu der Intensivierung der Zusammenarbeit mit den Partnerhochschulen bei.Durch den neu eingeführten rein englischsprachigen Bachelor Studiengang Computer Sciences steigt die Zahl derinternationalen Studierenden an der THU. Es zeigt sich, dass auch diese Studierenden, die ja bereits im Auslandstudieren, ebenfalls ein großes Interesse an einem Auslandsaufenthalt haben, So hofft die Hochschule in Zukunft dieZahl der Mobilitäten noch steigern zu können.
