The main aim of the Project is outgoing Student and Academic Staff motilities of the University of Mining and Geology 'St. Ivan Rilskí', Sofia. It helps internationalization. It is advantage for the Students to increase their preparation and knowledge in their main subjects, language skills, to make new friendships and professional contacts, to know foreign culture.The participants in the Staff Mobility for teaching in the frames of the Program established new contacts or improve previous ones in the foreign Universities, exchange knowledge, and spread good practice in teaching they learn during mobility. Thy improve their teaching methods and contribute to new cooperation agreements with foreign Universities. There is a tendency of increasing number of New Erasmus agreements in the last Erasmus project period with Universities from Spain, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Romania. The participants interest in participation in Erasmus + Student and Staff motilities increase during 2016/2017 Accademic year.The language competences of the Participants could be estimated as good and very good.The students of second and third year of education have increased interest to participate in Erasmus + mobility.

This action supports physical and blended mobility of higher education students and staff from EU Member States and third countries associated to Erasmus+ to any country in the world. Students in all study fields and cycles can take part in a study period or traineeship abroad. Higher education teaching and administrative staff can take part in professional development activities abroad, as well as staff from the field of work in order to teach and train students or staff at higher education institutions.

ObjectivesThe objectives of Erasmus + is European cooperation in education and training, sustainable development of Partner Countries in the field of university education, renewed framework of European cooperation in the youth field, etc. Profile of participants.The project promotes transnational mobility of students and academic staff. I supports participants to improve their knowledge and skills and professional development of the academic staff of our University. The current project increases the capacities and international dimension of organizations in the fields of Higher education and training of students offering programs that had better respond to the needs of individuals, within and outside Europe.Description of undertaken activitiesThe activities are in the field of education and training. The stages of mobility are:Preparation – selection of students for student mobility between program countries and professors for staff mobility between program countries. The selection includes also linguistic exam and preparation.Agreements with new partners are signed – between University of Mining and Geology and Technical Universities form Spain, Greece and Turkey. Agreements between the University and participants – students and academic staff.Preparation of the participants before their departure. Implementation of mobility activities - students for student mobility between program countries attended lectures and seminars in the field of their current education and cover the related exams. They also attended linguistic courses before and during the mobility. Professors presented lectures in Universities, improved their competences and disseminated learning outcomes in the Departments, Faculties and University.The next stage is related to evaluation of the activities during student mobility between program countries and dissemination of outcomes of mobility of students and professors.Results and impact Professors presented lectures in Universities, improved their competences and disseminated learning outcomes in the Departments, Faculties and University.The Erasmus + participants from the Universities of Mining and Geology University are students and lecturers in different aspects of mining and geology. A bachelor and Ph. D. students from the university of Mining and Geology spend a semester in Universities in Austria and Germany.

"This is a higher education student and staff mobility project under measure K103. The project was aimed at facilitating the students and staff of the University of Mining and Geology (UMG) ""St. Ivan Rilski"", Sofia, Bulgaria, to undertake a learning and/or professional experience at universities with similar to our area of education and correspondingly - in their countries. The mobility exchange was based on the previously signed agreements with our partners using the corresponding Erasmus+ template. The project objectives were: (i) To support students in enhancing their knowledge, skills and competences necessary for their formation as professionals, their personal development, preparedness to work in multicultural environment and thus to increase their employability in the European and international labour market. (ii) To enhance the professional competences of our teaching staff. (iii) To support the professional development of the administrative staff.Totally 6 students (at B.S. and M.S. level) and 11 staff members took part in outbound mobility and 1 student and 1 staff member - in inbound. The students participated in student mobility for studies (SMS). The staff members participated in 8 staff mobilities for teaching (STA) - delivering lectures and seminars at the partner universities, and 3 staff mobilities for training (STT) - aimed at increasing the colleagues' ability to work on the Erasmus+ Programme. The mobility enlarged the level of knowledge, key competences and skills of our students - all these finally leading either to enrolling in higher degree of study or to enhanced employability and better career prospects. In addition, their self-confidence, soft skills and intercultural attentiveness were risen.Training of our staff with the help of Erasmus+ Programme improved their understanding for international projects, their ability to work in intercultural environment and capability for establishing effective partnerships.STA mobility developed further the professional competences of our colleagues, increased their capacity to set off changes in terms of modernization in their subjects, teaching in favour of students. Their motivation for work was enhanced. In addition, in many cases their foreign language competence was improved. Participation of academic staff in the Programme contributed to the transferring and implementation at UMG of the positive examples of the European educational system and the scientific experience gathered from all fields of knowledge. The number of colleagues encouraging and supporting students' mobility is increased.As a whole, the participation in the Erasmus+ Programme contributes to realize the strategy of UMG to develop our staff, modernize our university and enhance our international relations and cooperation leading to fulfilling our objectives and tasks as public higher educational institution for the upcoming years."
