The support of international cooperation at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (hereinafter referred as UJEP) is a part of Long-term Plan for the years 2016-2020 and UJEP Strategy for the Years 2010 – 2020. Mobility is one of the most significant tools of the process of internationalization. For that reason and according to the Erasmus Policy Statement of UJEP (hereinafter referred as EPS), UJEP's intention in this area is to engage in projects offering different types of foreign stays for both, students and employees. The aim of the project No. 2017-1-CZ01-KA103-034588 was to engage in all supported activities, i.e. in study stays and practical student placements and teaching stays and training of staff, and to realize a total of 259 mobilities, of which 160 student and 99 staff stays. The outgoing students and employees could choose from more than 260 foreign partner higher education institutions. The students and workers of all UJEP faculties took part in the project in the amount of 272 mobilities. The students of all study cycles, incl. recent graduates, were involved in the total amount of 158 mobilities, 106 students on study stays and 52 students or recent graduates on traineeships. 114 teaching and training mobilities were implemented. Teaching stays were carried out by 83 academics, and 31 employees participated in trainings. Despite the systematic promotion of students' mobilities within the Erasmus+ Programme, unfortunately, UJEP has faced up to a significant volume of cancelled study stays and traineeships of its students and a general decrease of students' interest in mobilities abroad for several years. However, with respect to the fulfilment of students' mobilities in the amount of nearly 99 percent and employees' mobilities in the amount of 115 percent, it is possible to state that the project aims were fulfilled. In total, 153 foreign students and 64 employees of foreign partner higher education institutions were accepted by UJEP in the academic year 2017/2018 within the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme. The implemented mobilities have benefited both individual participants and the whole UJEP. The students have deepened their professional knowledge while studying abroad meeting different teaching systems and new teaching methods. Traineeships abroad have been helpful in deepening students´ professional knowledge and skills as well as in practical appliance of theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies. Due to staying abroad, students have improved their language skills and learnt about cultures in other countries. All above mentioned experience have greatly contributed to their personal growth and increased their value and competitiveness in the labour market. Due to their international experience, the employees have on the other hand extended their professional contacts and acquired new knowledge in their fields and are thus able to use the experience in their professional life and improve their teaching activities as well as the managerial and organizational skills at respective departments of UJEP. International mobilities have intensified further cooperation, e.g. within scientific and research activities, contribution to enhancing qualification within the academics´ habilitation procedure and professorship designation. Both the study and practical stays of in-coming international students at UJEP and lectures given by in-coming international academic workers have contributed to creating multicultural environment at UJEP and have had positive impact on members of the academia who have not participated in the mobility program directly. Increasing number of international students at UJEP also further motivates UJEP students to engage in the activities of the voluntary international student support organisation Erasmus Student Network Ústí nad Labem which help improve the quality of the services provided to in-coming international mobility participants. The mobilities within the frame of the project have contributed to fulfilling UJEP Plan and Strategy within the agenda of internationalization and have contributed to the creation of conditions for further cooperation between UJEP and foreign institutions.
