The Module consists of two new courses that enhance knowledge on the EU interest representation system, develop practical skills and civic activity. The courses aim to provide an advanced level of understanding of the role of civil society and stakeholders in the process of creation and implementing EU policies. It is a new specific EU subject and courses have develop a pool of well-qualified professionals, able to understand the complexity of the EU. The courses were dedicated for students of international relations and public policy faculties and others who were interested in that field. The Module has referred to 60-80 students and consist of 60-64 hours per year. The courses were based on interactive methods and the teacher has strongly encouraged the development of a critical mind-set. The interactive methods have stimulated students to be more active, improve attendance and double both engagement and learning. In every year there was organized a lecture within the Festival of Science that was opend for all interested people. The excellence of research was ensured by doing qualitative and quantitative analysis in cooperation with Jean Monnet professors, researchers, PhD students, practitioners and policy makers, publication of a book, encourage the research results into teaching of students, discussion of research outcomes during the Jean Monnet conference at SGH. The impact of the Module is far-reaching on studying and research at SGH and we have created a community of professors, PhD students, students, practitioners and policy makers that can cooperate for deepening knowledge on the EU interest intermediation system. In the end of the project some students prepared their MA thesis on the topic of different patterns of interest representation in the EU, and some students enrolled on the doctoral studies with plan of preparing their PhD thesis on the EU interest representation system. Now we have a group of 8 PhD students who are preparing their PhD dissertations on that topic in cooperation with some Jean Monnet professors at SGH.
