The main aim of the GO-GRASS project is to create new business opportunities in rural areas based on grassland and green fodder that will be demonstrated in four EU regions at small scale, ensuring its replicability all through the rural communities of the EU. Inside a circular system, GO-GRASS will provide a range of circular and sustainable business models with high replication potential, to be available to entrepreneurs and local authorities. The project will also demonstrate innovative cost-effective technologies, processes and tools applicable within the diverse DEMO scenarios (deploying demonstrators in different regions in EUas representative places to cover different rural contexts) considering social, economic and environmental circumstances in rural areas with the aim of achieving a large-scale replication, especially in remote areas with unexploited resources. Furthermore, the GO-GRASS project will help EU reducing imports from nutrients like P or even proteins, as well as the dependence from fossil fuels. Thanks to the GO-GRASS project, the Bioeconomy will be consolidated, harnessing regional assets, diversifying and revitalizing the economy and providing quality jobs and opportunities in rural areas. In addition, the production and use of bio-based products replacing existing fossil-based alternatives, such as fertilisers or plastic packaging, can make a considerable impact on the Agro-food systems greenhouse gases emissions at EU level. For achieving this aim, GO-GRASS consortium consists of a multidisciplinary team of 22 partners from 8 European countries (Germany, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Hungary). The consortium is built around the four regional demos located in Germany , Denmark , The Netherlands and Sweden that integrate the multi-actor approach concept, with the expertise of multiple appropriate partners (farmers, research centres, technological companies),3 follower partners and other with transversal role

The SLEEPING BEAUTY project aims to rejuvenate neglected urban, peri-urban, and rural spaces across Europe through the integration of Nature-based Solutions (NBS) and the core values of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). By addressing diverse climatic contexts, this initiative promotes sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities. The project leverages NBS to enhance biodiversity, foster natural beauty, and provide multifunctional public spaces, aligning with NEB’s principles of sustainability, beauty, and inclusiveness. SLEEPING BEAUTY seeks to transform underutilized and overlooked spaces into vibrant, biodiverse areas that reconnect people with nature. This holistic, co-creative approach combines innovative design and artistic interventions, encouraging collaboration among citizens, experts, and local stakeholders. These efforts will help reshape public spaces, strengthen community ties, and foster a shared sense for caretaking of environment. By emphasizing the creative re-use and revitalization of spaces, the project will demonstrate how integrating NEB and NBS can lead to improved well-being, enhanced biodiversity, and more resilient and beautiful communities. The project’s six pilot sites will serve as showcases for replicating and scaling NBS-NEB solutions across Europe, contributing to a systemic shift in how we design, interact with, and maintain public spaces in close connection with nature and cultural heritage. The initiative promotes long-term societal transformation, focusing on strengthening human-nature relationships, cultural identity, and collective action to address pressing societal challenges like climate change. SLEEPING BEAUTY’s unique blend of artistic co-creation, sustainable spatial planning and innovation will push beyond traditional NBS approaches, setting a new gold standard for innovative, inclusive, and aesthetically compelling public spaces enabled by NEB-NBS and a new Natur-Baukultur.

SEALIVE aims at demonstrating innovative circular strategies for bio-based plastics in land and sea applications. The project will be driven by economically and technically sustainable business models based on materials with advanced properties, design for circularity techniques and end-of-life solutions. It will establish a partnership of raw material providers, convertors, end users, recyclers, policy experts, certification organizations and NGOs to demonstrate solutions within a shared vision for circular plastic strategies. Solutions for reusable, recyclable and biodegradable bio-based plastics to prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds will be demonstrated in four pilot territories: Cyprus, Ireland, France and Denmark (or Non-European site). Innovative formulations based on PHAs, PLA and starch materials with advanced properties will be developed following recycling, biodegradability (marine and land) and composting standards. Design for circularity techniques (recyclable multi-layer single packaging materials, digital materials for traceability) and End-of-life solutions (high precision NIR-based mechanical recycling, controlled biodegradation/composting in natural and industrial conditions) will be upscaled at TRL6. Solutions will be applied to 8 end-applications with high potential for pollution reduction of soils and water media: rigid food containers, flexible packaging, agricultural films, fish crates, fishing nets and aquaculture mesh bags. Pre-normative research will be carried out to improve current standards for biodegradation, composting and recycling with regards to eco-toxicity, safety and influence of plastic ageing. Policy recommendations at EU and global level will be provided in order to build a common framework enabling pollution reduction of land and sea via sustainable bio-based plastics solutions.
